Can highly recommend Bokio online accounting. And support is quick to answer any questions. Have been using it for 3 years now.

Very difficult to contact them and never resolved any queries but They have been charging us for more than a year now. We cannot even get our money back since it’s a monthly subscription not DD. Very disappointed with overall experience

bokio is a great free online accounting software, i use it daily in my business , great professional; look and very easy to use, connects to your bank account and the mobile app is great for uploading receipts as you get them, it takes minutes.
would recommend any small buisness to use this

Very easy to use and send out invoices

Bokio is free if you only tie one account to it, very modestly priced to tie more accounts. It encourages good practice for small business, if you use your business account for everything it's easy to flag each purchase or spend correctly, then one click and you have filed! VAT gets done automatically, one click file too! And you can delete any transactions not business matters. Very easy, saves accountants fees.

Good job bokio, you've turned a £20 a year customer into a zero per year. I'll pay this last £75 then I'll find somewhere else, that'll let me pay by the month.

I was just amazed by the costumers service ! There was a glitch for a couple of hours.. I contacted them without even expecting a reply! Not only I got two replies but I also felt they were greatly concerned by making sure everything was ok at my end .

If you are a business I wouldn't waste your money on this app. It is very difficult to navigate and the Bokio support is about as useful as a biscuit dipped in hot tea

Such an easy software package to use for a beginner or more advanced book-keeper and easy to navigate your way around. Can make it as simple as you want it to be, but also gives you the flexibility to be creative with your invoicing, quotes etc. If you are new to book-keeping I would certainly recommend this software package.

Great accouting tool with good customer service!

Bokio covers all of the bases that I need. I moved to Bokio when Wave accounting (Waveapps) pulled its services in the UK. The Bokio service is almost like for like and it covers every need that I have as a sole trader. I highly recommend.

Fantastic Software, Highly recommended

Most user friendly accounting software platform I have known and using.

Tool was great, but the billing structure has kind of ruined it and limited everything. I'm more than happy to pay, but with multiple businesses it gets expensive quickly.

The key issue is that when your Open Banking connection expires and needs reconnection, Bokio does no notify you at all so you can go days or weeks before realising, then a ton of transactions will need review. Really really annoying and could be solved so simply.

Additionally, to change between Making Tax Digital accounts you have to contact support to disconnected one business to reconnect another. Really weird design on that and should be able to support multiple MTD connections especially as they are entirely different gov gateways, so just seems like bad engineering design on that connection system.

It was OK at first, now changed so pretty awful without a paid plan. Once I send off this year's accounts I am going to switch provider.

I only do extremely basic bookkeeping (single bank feed, limited number of transactions), and they have managed to make even that difficult with their free plan. You can't even categorise stuff without manually typing it in every time. The current free plan is less powerful than an excel spreadsheet in my opinion.

Was promised and given far more when I signed up about a year ago.

I'm hopeless with my accounts and Bokio was great, but then they decided to start charging… Now, the basic free plan is now completely and utterly useless unless you have an intimate knowledge of how tax and every part of the whole system works, because Bokio will not give you any useful help unless you're paying for a plan. I am actively looking for another system I can use, and I will happily pay for a different one because I am disgusted by Bokio's money-grabbing behaviour and sudden decision to charge for plans with very little time to react, and no real explanation of how bad the free system would now be, which is completely useless.
