Been riding motorbikes 35 years. Always use disposable plugs. Thought I'd upgrade. What a mistake. These plugs are useless! They don't seal, fall out and offer no noise reduction. How can this company claim noise reduction? The material is super thin.
Waste of money/false advertising/crap
Just use industrial disposable plugs.
UPDATE: Bollsen's reply is misleading. Returns are at buyers cost & no refund if opened. Appears to be a SCAM product.

Original ear plugs were not at all effective at blocking out noise. I was advised by customer service to pay for the ‘custom fit’ service with the assurance I would receive a full refund if these were also not effective. I returned both sets of ear plugs along with the cancellation form as these were no better, but when I chased up my refund was told my return had not been received. With hindsight I should have sent recorded delivery as the returns service did not include any pre paid or tracked delivery, it was simply at my own cost. Not a great experience and I’m out of pocket. Very disappointed. As I did not send these recorded delivery I do not have proof of postage so I have to accept the claim that you have not received my return.

When I recieved them I was extremely sceptical.
They appear to be thin, flimsy,silicone cone shaped earplugs.
I have been using them for 5 nights & I am somehow getting a better nights sleep.I sleep in an adjacent bedroom to my husband as he is a really loud snorer.While I do find the earplugs help,they don't completely drown out the noise & at that price I was expecting more of an improvement.
I don't think they are worth what they cost but the noise levels have decreased.
I would buy them again if they were cheaper but at the current price I'd expect better results for the price.

The earplugs themselves are not bad but they are not great either. A simple verdict would put them as overhyped and over priced.

My main issue is the amount of spam from the company. 'Maya' from Bollsen emails me 2 or 3 times a week. I have told the company to unsubscribe me more than a dozen times but they have done nothing about it. This has been going on for 5 months now and so I am letting the world know about their dubious practices. Beware !!

Excellent for what I need, use them when out dancing, I can still here the music perfectly but takes away the screeching and the fear of going deaf and the ringing in the ears

Not as good as the original version. The original was very good and I still use them, but the new version I personally don’t like. I found them difficult to put in, they stick to the end of your finger as you do so. They also do not seem to reduce the noise as good as the old version, maybe the fitting. This is just my experience, we are all different and they may be great for somebody else.

I have raised my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars because there is nothing wrong with this product, it just did not fit me as good as the original ones I had.

Unfortunately they don’t work

Have purchased on numerous occasions.
They work well in blocking out sound and are comfortable to sleep with.
They come with a handy container

Can’t praise the customer service enough for this company. Very efficient, informative and helpful from the time of placing the order to the point of purchase/ receipt of the item. Earplugs are excellent quality and received in super quick time.

I bought these ear plugs as my husband snores. I was so disappointed because they didnt work for me. I find ear plugs in general dont work for me however Bollsen customer services was very helpful and suggested a custom made pair. These were more comfortable but still didn’t work for me. I was offered a full refund which i appreciated. Excellent customer services

Due to my bad experience with no order confirmation from different sellers I assume that I was tricked once again. I'm glad I was wrong. I just received my package. Product consistent with the description. I choose standard delivery and received it in two days so it was also fast. I will recommend to my friends definitely.

Worst ear plugs I’ve ever tried! I see why they want you to buy a second paid at once, because you will never buy a second pair.

Whats so bad?

They are really hard to get into your ears
They fall out really easy
They hardly give any sound damping at all

So don’t buy, save your money

I tried to contact customer service on the German site twice with no reply. Their links to guarantees etc. don't work. I left a negative review on their website and they removed it immediately. Terrible product, terrible company.

Ok buckle up people because I don't leave reviews unless necessary.

First off, bought the sleep ones, they take a few days to adjust to your style and those first couple of nights are brutal while they adjust in my opinion. I tossed & turned to get comfy and nearly threw them out the window early hours for uncomfortable pain. Dont, persist, trust me.

One thing to note is do not push them too far into your ear they seem ok while your not lying down, then they'll be painful and uncomfortable if you do. These guys send you a video helping to explain best fitting style.

I usually have my phone playing something as background when in bed and I've found it drowns enough out that I can just hear the phone playing still (barely) but not my snoring partner or outside noises though. Then alarm time I can hear my alarm no problem at all too.

I have opted to pay the extra and have the AR Picture Fitting too as I’m a very light sleeper, side sleeper & have big ears so trying to provide a bit more of a custom feel/fit for myself to assist even further.

I am a normal customer, was not given any product to test or any discount codes ect this is just an honest personal review.

I echo the review of Robert Harper below somewhat. I bought 3 sets to take advantage of the 'multi-buy' discount discount - big mistake! I should have really just bought the one set to see how well they worked despite the good reviews i read…
I bought these to prevent water ingress as water gets trapped in my ear canal. However the right ear plug didn't work at all and the left ear plug allows water in intermittently These are expensive ear plugs and i expected better performance for the price paid. They have a 30 day return policy so we'll see how that goes as I am returning them after 24 days...
I’m off to Superdrug with a fiver to buy their pack of 6 earplugs lol
Edit: - contrary to the 'Review Management Team' comment below I did apply for a refund as per the instructions on their website before i posted my review above on here. Following ny review on here I have now received an email from them with instructions on how to return the items and i will edit my response further once a refund has been received.
Edit 2: - Refund has now been received. I had kept the original packaging and so returning the items by post was easy and the process was well facilitated by Bolsen. It would have been nice to have been reimbursed for the return postage costs. However it is very good to have recieved a full refund which included the costs of the earplugs that had been used, accordingly I have altered my rating from a 1 star to 2 star.

I bought 3 sets of Bollsen earplugs on the 14/3/24. Two to be used at home and at our caravan and one set for swimming. Total: £66.90. I’ve waited til now to give an honest and fair review. The bottom line is that they are useless and a complete waste of money. Cheap, tacky plastic, that isn’t fit for purpose. DON’T waste your money. I stupidly thought that at over £20 a pop they must be good. I’m now nearly £70 out of pocket and have reverted to the silicone earplugs you can pick up in Superdrug for around £4.95 for a pack of 6. Far better at a fraction of the price. UPDATE…..Having been in touch with Bollsen Customer Service, I was instructed to return the earplugs immediately. I sent the package by 1st class mail Saturday and fully refunded on Monday. Their communication was excellent and the refund immediate. I guess these earplugs may work for some people, just not for me.

Nothing wrong with the ear plugs in fact they are good, the issue is with the 100use guarantee.
After using for about 30 times they started to let in water so I contacted customer service and asked about the guarantee, only to be told that it is only a rough guide and chlorine will reduce their life span.
I appreciate that this could be the case but feel they should make people aware of this.
At present they advertise that all their products have 100 use guarantee.
Unfortunately I can not recommend as very poor customer service

I bought these to sleep soundly because my husband is a chronic snorer. I have to say they are incredibly disappointing. Virtually no noise reduction at all and basic cheap ones that you can buy a the local chemist provide much better noise reduction. Be very careful when buying these for snoring purposes.

I bought Bollsen earplugs for flying last year before flying to India with a few stopovers. I've come to hate flying over the years because of the excruciating ear pain it caused me. Tried cheap earplugs for flying which reduced the pain by no more then 30% at most. So with great scepticism I bought Bollsen earplugs and was an still am astonished and grateful in equal measure. I had no ear pain at all flying with them and now am looking forward to flying without the fear of pain. Expensive earplugs but worth every penny. Thank you for inventing them !
