Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 30 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the products, finding them to be of poor quality, not as advertised, and often made from cheap materials like plastic instead of the described fabrics. Customers also reported issues with the pricing, feeling that the items were overpriced for their actual value and could be found much cheaper elsewhere. The refund process was a major source of frustration, with many struggling to receive their money back even after numerous promises. The return policy was also heavily criticized, as customers were often required to send items back to China at their own expense, incurring significant shipping costs, and sometimes the returned parcels were not even delivered or processed.

Dreadful company

Dreadful company. Led to believe they were genuine British company closing down selling quality goods. Nothing further from truth. Based in China, goods took weeks to arrive and tracking did not work. Eventually got 2 sweaters after sending them messages and emails. The quality was dreadful. One sweater looks as if it had been gone over with a hot iron and turned shin and both are poor fit. Have to write it off as a bad experience as they only accept returns to China at your expense and demand payment for track and trace.

CHEATING COMPANY - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM

Received my so called cardigans 2 off but what a surprise I got. I was expecting lovely colourful knitted cardigans and what I got after chasing for 4 weeks was polyester rubbish. These cardigans are nothing like what I ordered, firstly two of the buttons on one of the polyester rubbish didn’t fit the holes as they were no where near the buttons. You should be ashamed of yourselves doing this with people and coming from China instead of Bristol. I don’t know who these two women are but no doubt AI if not I hope your grandchildren know what you have done by cheating people of their well earning money. DISGRACEFUL. Chinese rubbish I want my money back.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE - if it sounds too good to be true, don’t be fooled, it probably is!
I would award zero stars if I could as this is definitely breaching UK trading standards. Made in China and shipped from China - NOT BRISTOL. I thought I was buying two jumpers which stated on the website: one cotton blend and one cotton and wool. NO that is not what I received, both are polyester and very poor quality at that.

IT IS A SCAM.

It's a shame it's not possible to give zero stars for this company. They pretend they are based in a shop in Bristol but this does not exist. The goods come from China. I ordered a red jumper and eventually received a brown one. When I contacted them they gave me a credit and I re-ordered the red jumper. I received another brown one. When I contacted them again they said they could not help as they had already issued a credit. They will give me a refund if I return the goods but I have to pay the postage. This is illegal and against the Consumer Rights Act. Signed-for postage to China is £21.70. So I have to shell out £21.70 to get a refund (which may never happen) of my £27.99. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, IT IS A SCAM.

Received Bond Bristol jumper…

I have complained to Bond Bristol about their ad being somewhat misleading in making it sound like a local company who are closing and selling stock cheaper but really they are in China. I actually received my jumper this morning and it is nice, it fits, not sure if its wool or not, but I am pleased with it!!

This is a total scam company! The company is based in China and supply poor quality goods. They are uncontactable and do not supply a full refund when things go wrong. They delivered the wrong item to me and refused to give a full refund as I would have to pay to return it to China!

Items straight from the polyester swamps of the East

A Family Affair? Not Quite — The Great Bristol Knitting Scam
(One star, only because no stars isn't an option)
Like many of us with a soft spot for small businesses, I was lured in by the warm, homespun tale of a family-run knitting shop in Bristol, sadly forced to close its doors after years of loyal service. A humble business offloading its final stock at reduced prices.I pictured hand-knitted cardigans wrapped in brown paper, maybe with a little handwritten note tucked inside: Thank you for supporting our small family business. But no!
What arrived at my door felt more like a cautionary tale.
First red flag: the delivery timeframe — that mysterious limbo where your package appears to be making its way from the other side of the world was true China! Second red flag: the smell — straight from the polyester swamps of the East.
Third and final red flag: the items themselves — not a stitch of wool in sight. Instead, I was greeted by the kind of cheap, synthetic rags that could barely pass muster at the tail end of a boot sale.
I won't dignify the garments by calling them clothes. They were closer to fancy dress costumes. Not a scrap of effort. Not a hint of a knitting needle. Just mass-produced landfill wrapped in the sentimental cloak of a dying British business.
I threw the entire haul straight in the bin. Not out of rage, but out of sheer embarrassment. Even a charity shop would have turned their nose up at this shipment of shame.
The real tragedy? I almost felt guilty. The fake sob story worked — and that's the most galling part. These grifters know exactly how to weaponise nostalgia and community goodwill, spinning us into their sticky little web before vanishing into the ether.

I hope you do close down. For good this time.

Crooks - beware

Beware!! I am not surprised that this company is closing down. The reduced price from the original price, description of the goods and the name of the company are all misleading, giving the impression that you are buying quality products. Please also read their returns policy which gives no hope of a refund and will probably result in high returns costs even though they say returns are free. They are based in Hong Kong. Load of crooks!!!

Buyer Beware!

This company is a total lying scam - do NOT purchase from it. Everything about it is false: it is not an established Bristol based family business, but a business based in China; the jumpers are not as advertised - instead of knitted wool, they are 100% cheap, tacky polyester. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Trading Standards should close down this Chinese based company.

Absolute scandal

Absolute scandal. Posing as family owned company from Bristol UK but turn out to be located in China. when jumper took weeks to arrive my suspiciions arose and then were confirmed unfortunately. Item is nothing like in the pictures. Cheap mashine produced rubbish. Will try to return it to the UK based return address on the package but not holding out much hope. Stay well clear. Utter scam and disappointment.

Scam

Scam. Dishonest online description. Goods are nothing like the photos, quality is dreadful. For refund - goods must be sent to China!!!!
My purchases are going straight to the local charity shop.... doubt they'll want them.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. “Bristol” makes you think it is a uk company, it’s not, it’s china. Products are poor quality and returns are at your cost back to China. Expensive mistake on my part.
