Senior citizen stranded at Toronto Pearson Airport to…

Booked Toronto Pearson Airport to London Ontario, bus arrival scheduled for 4:30pm.
Waited over an hour and 30 minutes. NO SHOW!
There I was, a very senior person stranded at airport. Tried calling and emailing Book a ride and Busbud, no answer at
number or email.
The next day I did complete a request for a refund of $28.24 on the bookaride website. Received a reply that the refund would be done with 7-10 days. GUESS WHAT....NO REFUND RECEIVED YET.
I am calling my MPP and complaining that the lack of a reputable, dependable bus service in Ontario is unacceptable.
Bookaride will never have me as a customer and I am letting others know about my experience.

Booked a ride to Ottawa from Toronto

Booked a ride to Ottawa from Toronto, I got delayed for the first stop so head straight to the second stop. Customer service numbers are just joke. Getting wierd replies, no answer to email. I wasnt able to reach them to let them know that I am at the stop in Scarborough. Later on I received a message saying the bus arrived at the first stop LATE.. Had I got the update earlier I should have waited at the first stop. Now Im here out in the cold for over an hour, and the bus never showed up.
They act like once the ticket is booked their part is done, the customer gets luck if the bus shows up.
Absolute worst Management

The bus never showed up.

The bus never showed up.
We booked a ticket for my daughter from Peterborough to Ottawa. She arrived 30 minutes early, and after waiting an hour she let us know the bus hadn't shown up. We tried the app to find out where the bus was, it said it was over an hour away. We got an alert that the bus showed up - great, but when she got on the bus she was told the bus was heading to Toronto, not Ottawa. This is by far the worst company I have ever seen. Is there even a point in trying to get a refund they seem hella sketchy when they don't even know which direction the bus is going on their own alert. Avoid this company at all costs.

JUST NO NEVER AGAIN.
Booked a bus from toronto to detroit. The bus was literally 13 minutes late, the driver was nice. upon getting to the london via rail station; they told us that people going to windsor and detroit need to get down and go in another “bus”, said bus was literally a personal CAR. not a bus, a car. the car was not clean, it seems like someone’s personal car. me and the other people were so confused. i didn’t pay $50 to be transported in a family SUV by a random person that just showed up. if i wanted a road trip with random people in someone’s personal family SUV, i would’ve hitched a ride with people at the bus stop. i was scheduled to get back at 1:30, i got there at 2:30. i understand that this is a business and you guys need to profitise and make things conducive for yourselves, but we customers actually, PAY for your services, there was no free wifi, no power in the charger ports, and for half of the journey i was scared in the backseat of a strangers car. why didn’t you let us know ahead, that we would be transferred?
your company didn’t address anything, you didn’t tell us the bus would be late, you didn’t tell us that we would be transported in an SUV. the lack of transparency is what did it honestly. Never again.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM: WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Were suppose to take bus from Toronto to Ottawa and there is no customer service number and chat people do not reply for so long. Being new in canada, we went to the location 5mins away, had medical emergencies and don’t have anyone to stay with and tried to contact them but no number and chat with them to help us reach the right location, didn’t help and no exchange ticket as mentioned on their website was provided to us after so many requests. They didn’t understand our situation and worst experience ever. We will never ever travel with them again if no refund provided for all this frustration. Even on our departure from ottawa to toronto, the bus was 15-20 mins late and their tracking system is worst. Charging equal to a megabus and rider express but not providing the customer service like them.
Paid for 2 tickets- 88.14

Bad customer service (even lied)

I booked two tickets for the trips from Kitchener to Ottawa via Toronto around 9am on 12 Nov. The travel time ( arrive and departure) for Kitchener is 1:15pm Nov 12 on the ticket. However, the company sent me emails and text message saying the bus has arrived at Kitchener pickup location as of time at 11:13am which I didn’t see their notification that sent to me at 10:14am. It makes no sense that the customer ordered the tickets of time 1:15pm and the bus arrived more than two hours earlier!!! I didn’t see their message.

About 12:45pm, we arrived at pickup location and waited until 2pm. No bus from Book and Ride showed up. So I submitted a ticket to their support system. The customer service told me the bus was late only for 35 mins and other passages have boarded on the bus, so they thought it was my mistake to miss the bus! And the notification they sent to me was the technical issue. They refused to compensate!

If the customer didn’t tell a lie, so the bus was supposed to be there at 1:50pm. But I was there to call their customer service and wrote email to the company until 2pm. The customer service staff lied!!! The bus didn’t show up!!! There were only 3 people (two of the three are myself and my daughter) waiting for the bus. The other guy left at about1:40pm and no passengers there except my daughter and myself!!!

Surprisingly fast and good customer service

Hard to get in touch with someone live since there is no contact info, but I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive the representative was when you contact them via their e-mail form. Had a big issue and the customer service I received was great, they really tried to help me resolve the problem, and offered a good alternative (all through lightning fast e-mail responses). I was expecting to be disappointed but I ended up quite impressed with the service I received and I would highly recommend bookaride now. I've taken several rides with them but this was my first time contacting support and I will most likely continue using them based on this experience. They already have decent prices, but knowing that someone can help you when there's a problem is reassuring for me.

URGENT: DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM

i booked a bus toronto to ottawa &
This is by far the worst experience i’ve ever had. First the bus was more than 2hours late and it’s only after waiting 2hours in the cold that we got an email saying our bus got cancelled and it’s not the first time. Drivers are ALWAYS rude and late. They said we could get a refund in 15days and i still haven’t received any refund. they should not be practicing at all just greedy for money. horrible company

Booked a bus from Windsor to Toronto airport

Bus never showed up. Have dropped multiple tickets on thier customer care ticketing system on thier site and have not recieved any replies. Had a flight to catch which was missed, needed to book another last second one and find another way to the airport

Booked a ride from London to Pearson…

Booked a ride from London to Pearson airport,Ride was late by 45mins.The driver did not apologize, did not get any explanation.The vehicle was not a bus it was a regular van not much space.I was late for work, I’m very disappointed I do not recommend specially if you have important things to go to.

LEFT STRANDED & BELONGINGS STOLEN

Booked a trip from Whitby to Ottawa departing at 6:30 pm on October 28th, 2023. There was a stop in Kingston, ON. While in Starbucks using bathroom the driver proceeded to leave without me. I am university student and this was my first time using this service. All of my belongings were on the bus including my 2000 laptop, games, and school supplies . I contacted the company in regards to my luggage and carry on. They proceeded to respond this morning and inform me they could not find my stuff and nothing could be done. My items including suitcase were labeled and had my ID was well. Not only was I left stranded in a city alone I was robbed. I do not recommend this company at all and will make sure to file every complaint I can and make my experience known.
