At checkout the cashier was serving a lady who, by the chatty conversation she was having, knew the customer. On clearing the till area, it was our turn to be served. Our few products began to be sca... See more

Very disappointed.
I called a Poulton shop which is a lovely store. I wanted to get a small shop including something for Monday tea. I bought a 2 person Lasagne. Looked forward to it £9.50 more than I’ve ever paid before. Shocked at the quality. Hardly any flavour very little meat, 3 slices of lasagne and far too much sauce. It looked more like soup in the dish. I should have taken a picture. In no way did it resemble the photo on the packaging. Very disappointing for Booths.
Booths Penwortham (Incompetent staff)
Very incompetent staff on hot food stall. No basic understand of what a queue is! Stocking issues on hot food. No chilli or chicken thighs, only 12 o’clock on a Wednesday. Will take my business elsewhere.
Booths do nothing about car park scam
Booths car park, Keswick: Went to pay, Parkingeye machine said there is nothing to pay as within free parking time. Queue of traffic as I went out meant I was just over the free time limit when I exited. Parkingeye ANPR issues fine. I appeal, pointing out the obvious unfairness, Parkingeye don't care. £100 scam, doubtless repeated many times.
Why would Booths associate themselves with such a company? Why do they do nothing about this scam? - many have complained about it online
WRAP YOUR BREAD PLEASE
Booths are generally great …Kirkby Lonsdale is a nice store ….BUT…they have to start wrapping their loaves …went today to buy small wholemeal loaf …all breads exposed …person walking past bread including croissant rolls etc sneezed and must have distributed a LOT of “ gunk” over a large area…I went to the local bakery instead !!
NOT NICE
Booths Lancaster Poor Service !!!
***** Do not try and purchase a Guardian Newspaper 📰 🗞️ at Booths Scotforth Lancaster with a Prepaid card 💳 incompetent staff do not know how to use the machine properly !!! *****
Booths Scotforth have very rude members of staff working on the Customer Service desk when you walk in the store.
The staff working on the Customer Service desk have no idea whatsoever how to use Guardian PrePaid cards 💳 !!!
The card 💳 numbers need to be entered manually on the Paypoint machine like any other store when I purchase the Guardian 📰 🗞️
The Booths ignorant staff try swiping the card 💳 instead of entering the numbers on the Guardian Card manually the correct method.
The lady who works at customer service and wears a bandana scarf is very rude and abrupt and needs retraining with customer service.
Ulverston store
Use Ulverston store when up that way. Nice products although basics are pricey. But what miserable checkout staff! Three different assistants last week. One coughing and spluttering, another having a chat with a colleague - how rude. No please thank you or any acknowledgement. They need to get their their staff re-trained. Considering they're 'high-end' they need to review their customer service. Pity they got rid of self-checkouts. Much prefer Sainsbury's who always seem to have polite and helpful staff.
Lytham Booths
Paul The Greeter at the Lytham Store is a major asset. Unfortunately, there are a handful of long-standing staff who are miserable, rude, unhelpful, do not say hello/goodbye or please/thank you. Aldi is opening in 2025 so Booths will have more competition. Currently I alternate between Booths and Lidl. The latter may not provide a wide range of goods like Booths but all their staff are friendly, polite and helpful, even when they are clearly very busy.
Avoid like the plague
Avoid like the plague. Bought salad and 1 day after best before date it was rotten all the way through.
They said it was my fault for using it after the sell by date.
They don't understand the difference between sell by and best before and an item should not be rotten 1 minute after midnight on best before date.
they didn't even offer to refund the price of a lettuce.
Go to Aldi half the price twice the quality
Disappointed
Visited Garstang booths today for coffee and croissant. Counter displays cakes scones etc., all under cover however croissants are in open baskets at the front of the counter. People queuing are coughing, sneezing and brushing past with coats and bags.
Why any catering manager worth their salt would allow food for consumption in this way is beyond me. I didn't purchase a croissant - needless to say the baskets were nearly full, presumably for similar reason. We visit various cafes and find Garstang to be the least clean. Booths in Garstang is a lovely store but sadly not the cafe.
Worst croissant ever
Worst croissant ever! Greasy and doughy with an odd taste of oil. Review is based solely upon the terrible pastry. Quite literally had better tasting croissants from a plastic packet than these abominations. Booths should shame for themselves saying these are freshly made croissants when they’re obviously just mass produced pastry with cheap ingredients delivered and maybe “baked” in store.
Really disappointed today, I pay more because I expect better.
Honestly booths is a fantastic…
Honestly booths is a fantastic supermarket. Like any there's a few bad products and a few issues. But to me it's how they deal with it. It gets sorted asap. Staff super friendly. Now it's not cheap. But you get what you pay for. Some things are too dear. But mostly it's good. There gammon is awesome. Been going years just gets better
Thank you to Mark
I was having trouble paying in booths car park. One of your store colleagues, named mark, was very polite and helpful. I much appreciated his help, big thank you to Mark.
Horrible staff at Booths Keswick
Went to the shop in Keswick today we had a support dog with us (in a buggy he’s disabled) we were half way round the shop when we were approached by a member of staff who told us rather rudely “no dogs allowed and to get out” when we tried to say to her that he was a support dog we were told NO DOGS ALLOWED. Very rude lady who is allergic to dogs. So if you have a support dog which includes guide dogs or if you have dog hair on you stay away from this store you will not be welcome. 😡🤬😡
This super market is probably the worst…
This super market is probably the worst in knutsford the only thing going for it is free parking so park there shop somewhere else
Booths never again. First time last time.
Called at Booths Keswick for breakfast sandwiches only to be told there is a thirty minute wait but the waitress said I will just go and check if this correct only to return and said it is now forty five minutes. So we asked for toast and marmalade so she replied it is still forty five minutes. We then decided we couldn’t wait so asked for three coffees to go, got back to the car and the paper cups were half empty and costing over £9. Contacted head office but fobbed it off as a minor issue and they had contacted the store manager to make sure standards were met. So all I can say is don’t use Booths if you are hungry use a local cafe where you will get better service and value for money. Please I hope you take notice of my experience because I will never shop at booths again. Just to let you know there is a Co op just around the corner and a lot cheaper give them a try.
Poor breakfast…
Our breakfast this morning at Booths Longton cafe was very poor. The vegetarian breakfast was cold apart from lukewarm baked beans and the scrambled eggs were over cooked and like rubber. My partners full breakfast was also lukewarm, the egg overcooked and far below the standard of previous breakfasts. The cafe temperature was very cold and uncomfortable. We were told nothing could be done about it! A very unpleasant experience which we will not repeat.
Terrible cottage pie
Purchased a not cheap cottage pie, thought it looked a bit “ loose “when I put it in the oven, turns out it was potatoes and gravy!no meat in it whatsoever.sort of a potato soup.
Avoid the Too good to go bags at…
Avoid the Too good to go bags at Chorley.
All I got this evening was bread, bread and more bread; no bakery items at all.
Very, very disappointing.
Starbucks offered a really great variety I will return there in future.
Poor prawn and mayo sandwich
Visited Keswick today and decided to purchase their meal deal. The only thing wrong was the prawn mayo sandwich. Far too much pepper and not enough mayo. In fact I couldn’t see any!!
Not a patch on Marks and Spencer’s
