I had a pair of DM vegan Chelsea boots where the sole split ages ago and I couldn't bring myself to throw them away. The same thing happened with my DM shoes and I decided to repair rather than replace. I sent the shoes off initially and I was blown away with what returned. The shoes felt the same but looked brand new. It prompted me to send off the Chelsea boots and again, they did a top class job. I have about 10 pairs from the DM vegan range and I now know that if a sole splits along the side, this company can repair to an incredibly high standard and well within their suggested time frame.

My much loved and well worn Birkenstock sandals were in need of a complete rebuild ( new footbed ) They were returned to me as good as new.

The Boot Repair Company was the only place I could find that could re-sole my Blundstone boots. They were suggested by Blundstone UK. I was so glad to have found them and could not be more pleased with the outcome. I now have "new" boots for a fraction of the price. I would recommend TBRC to anyone who is looking for this kind of service. They were a joy to deal with, made especially enjoyable by my interactions with the very sweet Rachelle. Fast service and an excellent re-soling of my wife's old Contour boots. Well worth it to revitalise a pair of boots we know will fit her feet.

I decided to send my very old walking boots for repair rather than buy new ones. This was a great decision. The Boot Repair Company have done an expert job. The communication with the company was also really good.

I was so pleased to find this company as I had a pair of 15 year old Birkenstock Sandals I could no longer wear as the sole had worn out. I bought them when my second son was born as he was a spring baby and my feet were getting sore pushing a double pushchair round to all the parks where I live!

I weighed up the cost of repair against the cost of replacement and decided to give it a go. It took a few weeks but when they were returned to me I was initially delighted. However, when I tried them on they felt big and on inspection I realised that the replacement sole wasn't the narrow fit and size of my original pair, the details of which I had given with my order. I sent an email and immediately got a reply with an apology and a pre-paid post voucher to send them back. I have just received the 'new' sandals and they are perfect. I would highly reccomend this company for its workmanship and customer care. Thank you.

Simple to send off and receive my boots. Very high quality repair.

I cannot believe how impressed I am! I sent two pairs of Birkenstocks, I couldn’t wear either as the tread was completely worn. They replaced the soles on both pairs and rebuilt one pair. They look brand new! I was going to throw them out… I’m chuffed to pieces.

Sent my Dubarry Antrim’s to have a sole and heel retreated. What I recieved back was hideous to say the least, my boots have been ruined. The sole is completely different to what is on the website and now look like I have two rubber tyres on my feet!

No response from customer services since emailing them straight away.

Dubarry, Fairfax etc should not be using this company as they are no where near the quality of the originals.

I’ll await a response which will include a refund and a replacement pair of boots.

I sent a pair of well worn, but cared for, Brasher/ Berghaus boots to be resoled. They have been repaired and are almost like new boots. Most efficient service, returned on time and very pleasant customer service.

Updated 2nd May after a call from The Boot Repair Company:

I sent a pair of Birkenstocks to be repaired, that had a black footbed/sole.

I specified a black tread, and resole type, and assumed the sole would be provided in the same colour (as the site calls out 'We repair all styles of Birkenstock sandals including Arizona' - and my sandals were Arizona).

They were sent back with a light tan sole, which unfortunately really changes (and I think makes much worse) the aesthetic of the shoe.

I queried this and they are looking into it which is good to hear.

I Sent my red wing boots via recorded delivery and forgot to attach my return address, when I realised this, I immediately informed the customer team and dealt with Rachelle. Rachelle said that she will look out for my order and keep me informed and true her word, my boots have now been returned and I’m more than happy with the job they have done, they are like brand new. I will be using them again and would highly recommend using The Boot Repair Company. A big thank you to Rachelle and the team at TBC. Marc Alexander

All round excellent service, prompt solid communication, rapid turnaround & what looks like an excellent repair - Zambrelan sole replacement

I first contacted the BRC when my previous repairer quoted me a ridiculously high price for what was just an outsole replacement on a pair of Scarpa Marmolada. They also said I would have to wait 17 weeks to get the boots back. Rachelle was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process and assured me that BRC would do a good job. Not only have they done that, but my boots were away for even less time than the 2-4 weeks that they quoted. I will definitely be using BRC for any future mountain boot repairs.

Had an urgent repair needed, and tried to ring up, but didn't get through. As I was filling out the online form, I got a ring back by Rachelle (how nice!), who said that while they wouldn't be able to repair my boot within the 4 day window I had, she could send me out some specialist glue for me to reattach the rubber rand that was coming away a bit. She said this would be a good until I had more time to get the boots to them. She sent it out and I had it the next day. It has worked a treat and the rand has stayed attached and the boot is waterproof again while I'm currently on fieldwork. Thanks Rachelle!
