While the lamp was well packaged, it however arrived in pieces. The branches with the birds were in pieces and for the price I wasn't going to wind up gluing it together. We were very disappointed. We chose to return the item and will await the refund.

I saw this lamp in a FB ad and, being the nature lover and bird photographer that I am, I eventually purchased one. Once unpacked and put in its place on a table, I began to notice some things: it was dusty, and the birds are not true to scale. What I mean is that Blue Jays, in reality, are larger than Northern Cardinals, and Goldfinches are quite a bit smaller than Cardinals. These size differences are not depicted in the sculpture. Additionally, I don't like in-line power switches, which this lamp has. I would much prefer a small switch on the back of the base for easy access. By the way, and for those who care, it's made in China (practically everything is nowadays, but I thought I should mention it). On a positive note, the artwork on the shade is quite nice. Overall, I'd say it's a bit pricey for what you get ($200 with shipping).

The lamp arrived damaged. The cloth rim around the lampshade is coming off of the shade, which is slightly warped. I thought that the lamp and lampshade would be made of materials that were more robust and of higher quality, rather than plastic, especially given the cost of the item. And the $30.00 handling fee was a total surprise that did not appear until after I completed the online purchase. Can you please replace the lampshade? The lamp was a birthday present for my husband, who is a birdwatcher. I feel bad about giving him a damaged gift.
