Brasher Sizing is a Joke
I was given a pair of Men's Size 30 waist Brasher walking shorts as a present. Sizing was an absolute joke...couldn't even pull the shorts up over my hips to reach the waist. There is no way the waist size could be any more than size 26. Hopeless manufacturing. And nothing that I could do about it, as I lacked any receipt and Brasher don't have a Customer Care address that you can write to (...or else I would have sent the shorts back to them to show them what rubbish they are producing). Does suggest that Brasher products should be avoided.
Poor quality Women’s Country Trekker Walking Boots
I have had my brashers since August, wearing them every weekend and the stitching has come away already. Really disappointed, I love the shape, and comfort but the quality is not good enough for £140 boots.
Boot quality has gone down the toilet…
Boot quality has gone down the toilet and now made in China. Boot sizing and shape changed. Customer service has been flushed as well - now get put through to Millets with no option to buy replacement insoles or get repairs as you used to. Apparently owned by Pentland Brands. If you want a good pair of Brashers look on eBay or buy Zamberlan or Meindl

I can see that the company is uninterested their products as there's no response to earlier bad reviews.
Hiking boots leak badly
Hiking boots leak terribly after 9 months, despite being treated properly. Total waste of money. Going to buy a Scarpa boot now ....
Soul detached within 4 months
I bought a pair of Brasher Antuco gtx walking boots in September this year (2025) , and whilst out walking the dog the soul came off. I bought the boots with several other pairs and the assistant at a reputable high street store , put them down as Berghaus boots so I'm unable to prove I bought these boots from there even though the manager believed me said there was nothing he could do. He said there may be a way if I could supply the time and date via my bank statement and then they could potentially check cctv , but lifes to short. I have noticed the other boot is starting to split , about 2 inches around the soul. What annoys me is there is no way to contact Brasher even though they are owned by Berghaus. Apparently they own 75%. Out of principal , I wont buy Brasher again. They don't seem to care as if they did, you'd be able to contact them and at least put your case to them to see if you could get any satisfaction. At least I have a spare pair of laces.
Brasher elasticated trousers
Brasher elasticated trousers. The elastine breaks and make trousers look like they need a shave. There is a very small warning to wash at low temps with non bio. I did.
Same thing happened with 2 pairs
I bought 10 pairs of socks and the…
I bought 10 pairs of socks and the quality was good however a few years later I bought more and within weeks they were falling apart. Absolute rubbish. I would never use this company again.
Walking boot? I don't think so.
Brasher Event boots. These are the worst boots I have owned. I can only use them on warm sunny days in summer and even then if there isn't any dew on the ground. They leak like a sieve. I've dubbed them and they still leak. I only found out in autumn so too late to take them back. Do not buy this make of boot. Party shoes would perform better than these. Absolute rubbish and a waste of money.
DANGEROUS in wet, icy, slippery conditions the sole will not stick.
Bought a pair of brasher mens leather water proof boots with Vibram soles. Very comfy, warm and waterproof... BUT the soles have the worst grip. I have gone into caves, walked in the snow / ice and also been to sea with them. I have been slipping and sliding, unable to stay on my feet and on numerous occasions come close to injuring my self while others I am with walk in their boots with no issues at all and in fact had to keep picking me up. I have no issues in other shoes/ boots. VERY DISAPPOINTED this is from 2022 until now.
Don’t buy these boots!!!
I purchase a pair of Brasher Country Trek boots in Feb 2025. In August, just 6 months later, and after about 600 miles of use the boots started to fail. The stitching on the uppers became undone (no rock climbing or scrambling just ordinary cross country treks). I contacted Brasher, no reply. I did a review on their site, never published . I have sent the boots to the Lancashire Boot Company for repair. Not only does the stitching need repair they have had to put patches in - £86 in repairs. The boots are comfortable but the workmanship and Quality Assurance is dreadful.
Dont waste your time
I ordered 2 pairs of brashers for a holiday 3 weeks in advance, 3-5 days delivery, ok. 10 days later no delivery, Evri seemed to have the boots in their depot but weren't delivering, odd, so emailed Brasher. Nothing for 3 days. Called their customer service line, 40 mins wait and lots of options to work through. Call handler said would send next day delivery, may take 2 days. I wait 4 days, nothing and no tracking service this time. I call again to see where they are 40 min wait on the phone. Oh we cant send next day delivery it takes a week, so my boots wont be with me in time for my walking holiday, fine cancel the order. Next day I realise that brasher is part of blacks and I have a Blacks store around in my city, so i quickly call again just after 8am when their customer care lines open (hoping ill be first in the queue) 40 minute wait (almost as if they force you to wait 40 mins each time so you give up...!). Asked if my order could be collected from my local store, well no because theyre not in stock anywhere?! and ive cancelled my order. The cancellation and refund takes 5 days aswell, really?! And theres no way to reverse that and actually fulfill the order thats taken weeks. The worst delivery service ive ever had. Price was good but for a reason. Also reading more reviews on their boots apparently they fall apart after 12 months anyway. Maybe I dodged one (despite the many wasted hours)... Dont bother
Sizing inaccurate and returns portal does not work.
Sizing inaccurate. Brasher shorts sold as 36 and 38 each measure 2 inches less in reality. And returns portal does not work - tried for over a week with multiple browsers. Eventually managed to contact customers service after very slow reponse. They want me to post the items back and then reclaim return postage. Won't be bying from this site again - too much hassle.
Poor quality walking socks
Poor quality walking socks
I've worn these Brasher socks twice and one of the heels has frayed so badly that there is almost a hole in it. Blue frayed material all over my boots and carpet.
The other sock looks better. Looks like really defective manufacturing.
I have just fractured my right wrist…
I have just fractured my right wrist because the bow of my right boot caught under the larger hook on my left boot. As I was unable to move either of my feet I crashed over backwards and smashed my right arm onto the rough ground. This was a frightening experience and I feel that I can't wear these boots again as I don't want a repeat performance.
Never buy Brasher
Great at selling but the aftercare is shocking. Spent £150 on a pair of walking boots and they would not replace them due to them being out of warranty despite me sending photos showing and proving they had been worn 5 times. Have used Brasher for 25 years but will not use them again. For a company with this reputation it’s sad to see the current state of customer service and the drop in quality of boots.
I would leave zero stars if I could
I would leave zero stars if I could. Do not buy from this company. The shoes themselves were purchased on 22 Feb. They were were meh (expensive and uncomfortable) and I returned them via a millets store on 25/02/25. When I checked my credit card statement on 31/03/25, they still hadn’t refunded me. They finally did so when I called them today but I think if I hadn’t phoned, they would not have bothered to refund me. Their customer email says the mailbox is closed, the guy on the telephone was uncaring. I can’t believe people can get away with doing business this way.
A far cry from the original high quality brasher boots
Brasher boots (after the athlete chris brasher) were once a top british brand. they were taken over by berghaus then by pentland group who also control jd sports etc
Brasher boots are now made in china and are just average. I bought the waterproof brasher boots and they just dont stretch or adapt to your foot and there is little cushioning. They did keep the water out though.
I bought these as i had the brand years ago when they were brilliant.
In summary these are entry level quality made in china so wouldnt buy again but not a disaster just a bit disappointing. I tried to return them to go outdoors but got short shrift.. ho hum
Brasher walking boots
Brasher walking boots - about a year old, not much wear and already the lining is wearing out inside on the heel, which makes them uncomfortable. Not what I would expect from a pair of boots costing £100.
Ladies Brasher “Live To Walk” purple raincoat
Ladies Brasher “Live To Walk” purple raincoat. Bought from Go Outdoors in the early spring . Assumed it was a reputable make. Shower proof it might be but I got soaked through in the rain once I started wearing it the following winter. The coat is just not waterproof! So disappointing 😥
