I was given a pair of Men's Size 30 waist Brasher walking shorts as a present. Sizing was an absolute joke...couldn't even pull the shorts up over my hips to reach the waist. There is no way the wai... See more

Brought my second pair of Country…
Brought, my second pair of Country traveler, as previous one’s were fantastic lasted well over two years, looked smart with chinos, as not a bulky walking boot. Second pair worn them 6 times the soul has fallen off. Very uncomfortable as seems no give in them. No way of reaching out to them about the issue, oh well, to find a competitor that is interested in customer service.
Poor quality socks
Like many other review comments I believed Brasher to be a respected company. I purchased 6 pairs of women’s light hiker socks in May 2023 but only started using them this summer. I have worn 4 pairs once and they have already worn thin on the heel. Terrible quality. Unfortunately, the warranty is only for a year so when I complained to Blacks (Brashers) they said there was nothing they could do. So £47 wasted. I am furious and just wished I’d tried them out earlier within the warranty period. I will never buy anything from Brashers again. I will take this issue up with trading standards.
Brasher Hiking Socks not fit for purpose
I purchased a pair of Brasher hicking socks, they looked good and at over 10 quid I thought would be good... I have worn them three times and the material on the base of the sock is coming off leaving the base material. Now I've got blue fluff everywhere. The sock material used is not fit for purpose and I'm surprised they would even sell it without checking the quality
Brasher leather boots falling apart
Bought some leather hiking shoes/boots just over a year ago. First the laces fell apart and contacted Brasher but they weren’t interested. Now the boots have fallen apart despite using Grangers wax protector. The seams on both boots have just given up on the toe. £100 - thought I was buying quality with a vibram sole - suggest avoid.

Dreadful company to deal with
Dreadful company to deal with. Placed an order on website, received email confirmation stating "We are usually pretty quick at picking and packing your order ... We'll send you another email when your order has been despatched which will include a tracking link."
1 week later, no parcel, no communication, so I submitted a web enquiry form, that was not replied to. Then I emailed - not replied to. Live webchat box closed down, even in the middle of the day!
We are now over 2.5 weeks since order confirmation, yet no communication or response. Perhaps it is a fraudulent company?
Shocking service
Shocking service. I placed an order over two weeks ago and had an automated response saying that they would send a tracking number. My card was debited the next day. I've had no tracking number and no delivery. No response to emails and if you telephone they just play you endless music on hold. I wish I'd checked this site first.
Smells like a scam
Ordered some Brasher walking shorts from Brasher site as the pair I already have (bought from Go Outdoors in store) are really good. They took the money but nothing has arrived and they won’t respond to emails chasing the delivery. Smells like a scam.
Blacks/Brasher - Never, ever again!
After buying Brasher Fellwalkers ( ladies) for over 30 years ( three pairs!) I had been a fan until now. I bought my last pair ( no 4) two years ago and have worn them maybe for three or four walking holidays in the Lake District. Nothing too strenuous but steady, comfortable hiking. I was stunned and shocked when last month I was walking in north Devon and the rivet holding the shoe lace simply came apart as I laced up one boot. They are now impossible to wear. I have just spent a frustrating half hour on the phone to Blacks Customer Service who tell me there is nothing they can do. All I require is a new rivet which I can get fitted by my local shoe specialist. But they need this exact rivet. But no, Blacks can't/won't help. Firstly this should not have happened after so little wear on a £150 pair of boots. Secondly it is absolutely unacceptable to throw away a perfectly good pair of leather boots in need of only a simple rivet but useless with out it. I will never ever buy from Blacks again, nor Brasher. It is clear they care neither about the customer, the product and most importantly about the environment and sustainability.
Country Trekker boots heel collapse
Purchased my Country Trekker boots in September 2023. Couldn’t work out why I was suddenly getting knee pain after walking in them. Looked at the heels and they have basically collapsed causing my leg to buckle inwards when I walk. I haven’t used them much only for country / towpath walking since Sept 23, seriously unimpressed by the lack of quality
No longer the same quality as they used to be
My first pair of Brasher walking boots were very comfortable and lasted for many years, until I wore through the soles. The replacement pair bought just over a year ago now need replacing. The leather has cracked and there is a a gap of several cm between the sole and the upper on one boot. Clearly the quality has deteriorated, as many other customers have also found. I wish I had consulted these reviews before buying. I will switch to another brand now.
Worst boots I have ever had
Bought some new Brashers just over a year ago. In less than 10 days of walking the soles are coming unglued and they leal. The rubber band around the sole/leather upper is extensively cracked.
My first pair lasted 20 years and were…
My first pair lasted 20 years and were re-soled five times. New pair of country master have failed after six months of light use. Both soles have begun to detach and they leak. Very disappointing. I was very loyal to the brand but never again.
Brasher Men's Walker Boots - Poor quality.
I bought a pair of Brasher Men's Walker Boots 3 years ago and the boot has now come away from the sole. Have always cleaned and cared for them. Very disappointed.
Garbage customer service
emailed Brasher with a query about my shoes, never heard back from them. Garbage customer service
No delivery, no contact!
With the order for walking trousers confirmed, two weeks lapsed without any further information let alone delivery of the product. Using Brashers online 'Track Order' did work, it only returned a repeat track-order blank screen. I understood Blacks Outdoor now managed Brashers and used their tracking system which returned a message from Millets with a request to use the 'Track Order' which is exactly the same as Brashers and gave the same result. There is no telephone for any of the companies so while another 'customer service' email is in the system, my confidence is exhausted and I'm seeking a refund. We shall see how that goes?
Further, the supplier(s) now confirmed a system issue and will make a refund.
Shoe fell apart after few days use.
I purchased Brasher's Country Walking Shoes. I was so pleased with these shoes initially, comfortable and smart. However just after three days of use the soles from one shoe detached. A day or so later the same happened on the second shoe. This was real pain as we were on holiday. I would avoid at all costs.
Do not buy anything from them
Do not buy anything from them , ordered some walking shoes, received order confirmation, after two weeks, nothing, no shoes, no notification, rang Blacks the parent company, apparently the order has been cancelled, by them not me and they taken my money, they say they are going to refund the money, fuming.
Zip faulre on trousers
I have a total of 4 pairs of Mens Brasher walking trousers & 2 pairs of shorts.
Around about 3 months ago the zip failed on a pair of trousers & then on another pair about a month ago, last week whilst out walking the zip on a pair of shorts failed!
Surely that can't be normal? I think I've only ever had one fail on other trousers that I can remember.
They do appear to be pretty lightweight nylon construction, as far as I'm aware they haven't been treated roughly & I would have expected better, it's made me think I need to look at other manufacturers in the future as this is pretty poor.
Contacted Brasher customer services but they didn't even reply!
Customer Care is a misnomer to Brasher
Terrible service from Brasher, I placed an order on 25/9 and received an emailed acknowledgement. I chased the whereabouts on my order on 14/10 but got no reply. I spoke to Blacks customer care (all part of the same group). I was told that Brasher had cancelled my order as the item had gone out of stock since I placed my order, and no refund made. Blacks Customer Care sorted out a full refund and apologised for Brasher not contacting me.
