Very easy to use, either online or over the phone, have been using for years

Great price and easy to set up online. I got my policy and numbers to call if I breakdown, immediately.
I have not had to use the breakdown assistance, but the reviews are good.

Not very impressed with their service at all. Kept both my wife and myself waiting for over 4 hours before we were recovered. Our son came out to pick us up due to the waiting time. Lots of phone calls but lack of action we were stuck out in the road when we broke down.

I haven’t driven my car for a few weeks and so I assumed I had a flat battery. My husband bought some jump leads but to no avail and when I tried to start the car an amber engine light came on only. I called Britannia LV and the person was quick to bring up my details and within the hour ( I was at home no urgency) a person had arrived and fixed the problem. A flat battery was the cause in the end (my husband and I have never tried to jump start a car so perhaps we were doing it wrong). All in all a fantastic response!
It's too hit & miss. Both headlights went on my car. Breakdown truck came out, but doesn't carry bulbs! I offered to pay the breakdown company back if they went to a garage and bought them. Couldn't do that-he said he'd follow me to a garage, I buy the bulbs & he'd fit them. Remember it's dark & I don't have lights! I looked in the glove box & luckily the previous owner had left a spare bulb. That was fitted so I drove home with one headlight. Result-I'm now with the AA.

Can I just say I have exceptionally high standards, I work as a manager in a call centre myself and have worked training people in customer service for 7+ years. Tonight I spoke to John (who apparently is in training!!) who was kind, efficient, friendly and went beyond what I would say was good service. Being a young girl alone 200 miles from home he offered me several options, called me back to check I was okay and sorted and put me on hold to check anytime he thought he could do more for me. I don’t care how much this cover costs, I don’t care what I can save, service like this and the fact I don’t have to panic or worry is priceless. I haven’t had to claim my money back yet but if that’s as easy as the call was I have no worries. Thank you!

These have been ok for UK cover but do not use for European travel as the company outsource to Opteven who are hopeless.
I broke down in Romania on the 6th September and and my car is not due back in the UK 29th October. Nearly 2 months for recovery.
I had notified them that we needed the car back urgently as we were emigrating. Sadly communication was very poor. The company will wait until they have a full car transporter which is not good.
Could not recommend for European travel, use the AA who have much better European network for repatriation.

I cannot fault Britannia Rescue in any whatsover.
The attendance times are excellent and the options when broken down are superb. They clearly choose their contractors well too as the service received when attending is excellent too. On the single occasion that they have failed to fix my car, a hire car was arranged in less than 45 minutes - no quibbling, no arguments and no problem at all.
I won't use another firm at all now. Britannia have been nothing short of superb.
good price hopefully good service when I need it.
Easy set up with no problems and still the same price as last year..
Having been with QDOS for the second year called them for the FIRST time after breakdown 30 miles out from home
They called back saying the recovery truck will be with us 60-90 minutes
Then called back to confirm how many passengers in car
Told them 4 Adults and 3 children
The they called again to say the truck will be 50 minutes and to confirm the number of passengers and my email
Few minutes later a woman called to back to confirm the number of passengers and my email address AGAIN
Then a few minutes later called back again saying can 2 or more of the passengers make their way home in a taxi and retain receipt we will reimburse this
Then she called back again to confirm this as the truck was not kited out for 7 passengers
So we called a taxi and sent some passengers home and waited for the truck
It came recovered us home
I looked in my email to see if I have received and contact from Qdos no nothing
So I called and spoke to a girl who asked for my email AGAIN
Saying she will send out reimbursement form
After about an hour I noticed no email has arrived I called again and a girl directed me to the finance department
There a girl asked for my email AGAIN and said she is emailing me the form
I checked my email later in the night and NO email had arrived
I waited for the next day and called AGAIN
Told a girl on the line exactly what has gone on the previous day she asked all the questions AGAIN and said she will find out and get back to me in a tick
She got back saying she spoke to manager and he said to take my details AGAIN and he will sort it
It is 3 days since and NOTHING has been forthcoming from QDOS
I would have given 5plus for their initial response to my first breakdown but then they quickly descended into very unprofessionalism
I would have recommended to friends and family had they simple fulfilled their PROMISE
now never mine recommending I will not renew my cover with again

When I first purchased your breakdown cover I quickly had to call you out on three occasions once to help me start my car as the starter motor had seized up and again almost immediately to tow me to my repairer as i foolishly turned off the engine whilst I got organised. Quickly followed by a flat tyre on my driveway, the doddery old twit had lost his mojo and didn't have the strength to undo the wheel nuts. On each occasion your operatives were polite and helpful for which I thank them. I'm in about my 6th renewal year ironically with no more incidents. Don E
