Horrible My money was held Hostage

Horrible, horrible, horrible. They told me that my money would clear in 5 days and it did, but they quickly took the $5,000 right back out and said it would be held for another week or so till end of month May 2026. My cash was liquid when transferred and still not available. Nobody could give me a good enough reason that made any sense. After 4 calls to them, on the 29th of May 2026, my money was to be there. I said if it wasn’t there on Monday the following day, I would call the banking commissioner to report them and I will still do it anyways. The point was to have a HYSA account so that my money wouldn’t sit in Webster bank uninvested. When they took the money back out of my Briodirect account, I transferred almost all of my money out of Webster bank to an Amex HYSA that cleared in a day or two. Mind you it was much more then the initial $5,000. I told BRIODIRECT, that If they couldn’t handle the $5k they can’t handle any of my money. I told them that they need to get up to speed and use plaid or be able to transfer sooner. People like to see their money in their account not a ZERO. It is a big inconvenience, thank God I wasn’t closing on a house or that I didn’t transfer any of the other money to be taken and held hostage. They don’t care and nobody assured me or made me feel good about banking with them, nor did anyone call to try to rectify anything at all.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam. They collect all your info to start a savings account -- not a loan or checking or credit card, a SAVINGS account where I give them my money to hold -- and they take ten days to say you're declined for some baloney about identification, which I gave them uploads of front and back of drivers license and everything they asked for.
