Thank you Hans for the exceptional service!

Hans is a great broker -- always reachable and always replies on time, and addresses concerns properly.

Would have given a 5 star rating if not for the ff concerns:

- called the hotline 12 August of last year re an outpatient claim/reimbursement to be filed, and the i was told that I will receive an email advise re the next steps, which I did not receive until 3 September, quite a lengthy amount of time between the call made and the email sent

- The claimable amount was minimal so I decided not to proceed with the claim anymore. Just pointing this out to help improve your clients' future claims experience

- On another note, when I renewed my premiums for another year, I found the interface quite confusing and mistakenly paid for all the quarterly premiums at once, instead of enrolling for auto-charge quarterly payments like I did the previous year. I had to seek assistance from Hans to correct this transaction. Perhaps you can improve the user interface to avoid future similar incidents

We also appreciate you taking the time to share this detailed feedback. The long response time you experienced after contacting the provider’s hotline is certainly a concern. As a general note, the hotline is mainly intended for pre-approvals and emergencies, while general claims questions are usually best handled during office hours or by email. That said, if you ever do not receive a reply within 2–3 days, please let us know and we will follow up with the insurer on your behalf — usually immediately, and at least within 24 hours.

Your feedback regarding the premium payment interface is also very helpful. This is an external provider system that the insurer use, but we agree that the installment payment options could be made clearer. In particular, it should be easier to select only the first installment and then be given a choice, on the same screen, to set the remaining payments to be collected automatically on their due dates. We will share this feedback with the insurer/provider.

Medical Insurance

Generally a good service however probably through no fault of his Hans was unable to negotiate an affordable renewal premium for my wife and me so after many years positive experience with Brokerfish we have reluctantly decided not to renew our policy.

Patient, attentive, professional

Hans was exceptionally attentive and patient. I was a hard customer, I had a million questions spanning everything about insurance. Transparent Services and great value for money

The Website is very well designed, intuitive and providing links directly to the policy of each insurance; transparently.

On a side, I have an extremely useful support by email, that was providing me the best advice based on my real needs and particular context; and not trying to influence my decision in a particular way.

After contacting with more than 20 insurance companies and brokers, I decided to contract based on the suggestions from Brokerfish, with the most competitive price.

Great support all the way

Outpatient claim process

This was my first time using the new ‘Outpatient’ allowance with Optimum Global. The process went smoothly overall and the reimbursement was successfully credited to my account. The only area for improvement would be the reimbursement speed, which could be a little quicker.

I’m glad to hear your first outpatient claim under Optimum Global went smoothly and that the reimbursement was credited successfully. The updated Emerald plan with the added outpatient benefit really is strong value for cost-conscious expatriates worldwide.

You’re also right that reimbursement speed can be improved, and we’re actively feeding this back and working with Optimum Global to shorten turnaround times. The important part, as you noted, is that claims are assessed fairly and paid. In our experience there are also relatively few requests for extra documents, which helps keep the process straightforward.

And as you know, once the first claim has been submitted, we can help set up a personal, password-protected and pre-filled claim form to make future submissions quicker and easier. Our aim is always to make administration and claims as smooth as possible.
