Great folding bike, probably the best!

Rolls better than my C or T line and not restrictions on terrain

Great design, poor quality control, several annoying faults: air in brake line, wobbly wheel etc

It’s not cheap….. but it’s excellent. I cover around 30 miles a day commuting on mine. Across cycle paths, roads and gravel paths. Absolutely brilliant.

Good for what I bought it for. Long distance off road cyclce routes, single lane roads an fthen knowing at the end of theday I can always ge the train or the bus back home. Out of the box chain ring was too big for me. Went for 44T.

Excellent addition to the Brompton range, lovely to ride on trails and tracks

Convenient, comfortable, ergonomic and a smooth ride. Slightly larger than previous Brompton models, so marginally less stow-able on public transport, but a sturdier set of suitcase wheels on the pannier rack compared to previous models makes for smooth portability nonetheless, and the thicker tyres are perfect for cycling trails. Broad handlebars with deliberately shaped palm grips make for one of the most relaxing and secure-feeling bikes I've ever had the pleasure of riding.

So far so good…. Only had the bike a couple of weeks and so haven’t done too many miles yet. The build quality is great (I suppose given the price tag that’s what you would expect), like the rack/roller frame and the fold and unfold are simple. It does ride like a standard bike and I like the comfort and ride of the bigger tyres and bars. Overall a great all rounder. If I had a couple of quibbles then they would be: 1. Put an owner’s manual in with the bike. The QR code didn’t work properly and given the cost I don’t think this is too much to ask. 2. Take care with the routing of the rear brake hose and gear cable as they can rub against the chain ring. Not good especially as one is a hydraulic hose.

The rake at the back. The gears are super smooth when riding.

Great bike but the default tyres seem much less durable than previous Bromptons I have had - had a flat after only a couple of rides. Not sure if tyres fault or tube, as can’t see any visible puncture so maybe the tube failed - but have ordered contact urbans to see if any better

I’ve owned about two dozen Bromptons since 1996. I have toured Europe and North America on them, as well as using them for commuting to work. This G Line is very well built, and professionally designed and engineered. I’ve only done about 70 miles so far, but it rides smoothly and easily on its fat tyres, and the quiet 8 speed Shimano hub gives a reasonable range. The disc brakes work well. My only gripe so far is that the quick release pedal is reluctant to attach or to release: after multiple repetitions, the use of much lubricant, and the application of maximum finger and thumb pressure I still cannot get the ‘squeeze’ release buttons on the crank to operate properly. Back to my local dealer, I think.

A lighter frame and more gears would be perfect bike for me.

Without wanting to knock the other Brompton models, for a tall and heavy rider this has the stability in urban traffic that was missing on the C Line.

This really is a big improvement over the 16" bikes, It's much more comfortable to ride and live with, It is heavier but not much, Best of all it's made in the UK which is rare these days. Top marks it's so quintessentialy British it's wonderful.

Been looking at getting one since they came out. Finally took the plunge. Great bike, great ride. Gears are a little restrictive but still fine for me. It's expensive but its quality. Thoroughly recommend getting one.
