Total scam!

This company is based in China! And NOT London, as stated on the website. The website claims to be a family run business. Items take a month to arrive, are cheaply made, ill-fitting and they refuse returns unless you pay a hefty £30 in postage back to a warehouse in China! Totally fraudulent website. Do not buy from here!

Ordered a jumper 6 weeks ago

Ordered a jumper 6 weeks ago, I have been asked for the number of my house address x 4.
Allegedly EVRI have tried to deliver but they have no record of the parcel.
Still not received the item.
The Company advertise as closing down sale, and have a photo of a very believable couple outside the shop.
I have given them until 31st May to deliver after that I want a refund but not holding out much hope.
I had no idea that everything comes from china.

Scammed

Like many others here, I got scammed. I ordered a dress that was shipped from overseas, not made in the UK as it was suggested, and the quality was terrible. Do not buy from this shop.

Do not buy from this company!

I would give zero stars if possible. You are unable to get a refund without bearing the cost of a return to China!! Do not buy from this company unless you are absolutely sure that the product you are buying is exactly what you want.

Scam.

Scam.. I paid £35 for a pair of trousers as they portrayed themselves as based in the Uk.

Trousers were bad, bad quality. Cheap cheap fabric, cheap styling: SCAM. Do not order from them

Complete scam

Complete scam.

Product poor quality.
I went to return - only to be told it needs to be returned to the warehouse in China and they would only refund me 25%.

Avoid at all costs.

Ordered a jumpsuit and it’s too big

Ordered a jumpsuit and it’s too big. Bought it in good faith based on the story of closing down and assuming it was London based . Need to exchange it and by looking further after no reply to my email I see it’s based in China. What a scam … terrible. Do not buy !!

Brown Wardrobe London is a front for terrible quality Chinese products

Brown Wardrobe promotes itself as a London based company owned by John & Alice Brown - with a picture of so-called John & Alice Brown posing in front of the London store. Unfortunately, I've learned the hard way and realise this is a complete con. My order took forever to arrive. Brown Wardrobe cover this up by emailing to say the delay is due to high demand at the warehouse. I then realise the delay is due to the fact the order is coming from China and not the UK. My order eventually arrived and the quality is atrocious - stand a few metres from a candle wearing these items and you'll go up in flames! When it comes to returning the items - no surprises that I need to foot the shipping costs back to China; and having read other reviews, I have no doubt my return parcel will mysteriously vanish and I will not be refunded. I have no issue with items coming from China when you know you're ordering from a Chinese company. My issue is when you're conned into believing you're ordering items from a UK company. Avoid like the plague.

Shocking!

Shocking!! I should read the reviews as quite clearly this is a scam website. The tracking shows that the order comes from china and then shipped.

Scam supported by PayPal's failure to act

Scam. Ordered 'high quality' jacket in 'closing down sale' via Facebook. Purporting to be a London company. When it came, after long delay, it was cheap, shoddy jacket, far too small from China. I rejected it and they eventually gave me a return address. I paid for DPD back to China and tracked package as far as Chinese customs where it 'disappeared'. Throughout the process I kept PayPal informed and made a formal complaint. They rejected it because the goods I returned had not arrived! I gave them evidence of the fraud and they ignored it. they keep closing my case and I reopen it. In my view PayPal are complicit in fraud and I have reported them to teh FCA. Don't use this company which advertises under several names, often 'of London'.

Complete scam

Complete scam
Shoddy clothes made in China and missold.
Cashmere cardigans that are made of cheap polyester, no label or tags. I asked for a refund & they expected me to return to China although apparently it is made in London.
I opened PayPal case & they emailed to say they would refund the money if I closed the case, I did & sent them email evidence. They have ignored all my emails since then.
Complete waste of money & clothes have been donated to the local charity shop. I will be opening up a dispute with my bank as this is £130 worth of rubbish. Avoid at all costs.
Wish I had read these reviews before purchasing

Bad purchase mistake

Poor quality items misrepresented by incorrect images.
Brands as a quality supplier however the reality is they are a massive producer in China , misleading with the name Brown's London. To return you need to pay and this is costly. I donated all items to charity & learnt the hard way from this experience. Please don't buy from them if you are expecting quality as shown in the images.

Satisfied

My order took just over a week to be delivered and the tracking was very misleading. But overall the clothes I ordered were all brilliant. I was concerned by some of the reviews but I have to say I am very satisfied.

An absolute con

An absolute con. It would appear I have the same to say as everybody else. I ordered a jacket, £40, to small, entirely wrong colour. To return it needs to go to China and the cost is nearly as much as the cost of the jacket.
This company, BrownLondon or SinclairLondon need to be barred from selling and their customers compensated.

SCAM. Avoid. Fraud.

Scammed my father out of a £40 jacket. Return address is China and return option means it costs £25+ for sending back. Additionally, it seems they lose the parcel meaning you are out of pocket further. The other option is a 20% refund for the total price of the product £8 with shipping back to their UK address not covered.

They are a Chinese technology company operating under the name sinclair-london or brown-london. They have been reported to the National Cyber Security Centre as well as Fraud Action.

Rubbish from China

Not London but China. “Jacket” material thinner than a shirt and not waterproof. Not worth the 40 day wait or £40 price .. not worth 40p. SCAM AVOID
