Just witnessed an employee cursing at a customer. It reminded me, when I was a student in 1999 I worked for them, stacking shelves for one week. Had to quit becasue it was clashing with my lectures. T... See more

First time at this place I witnessed avoid if at all possible…
First time at this place I witnessed a disabled woman forced to degrade herself by peeing behind the building because the staff wouldn’t let her in to use the facilities. This time myself and another customer had to wait at the pumps for 30 minutes for them to do a staff handover. Meanwhile a couple in pyjamas were let in via the front doors (customers aren’t allowed in here). We were told that they were staff and to f&@k off and mind our own business.

Making Liz Truss look competent
Charged £2.49 for £1.99 brown, organic, loaf. Arrogant assistant showed no interest in refunding me. I went to shelf and presented her with the price label (£1.99). She did not apologise and was unable to carry out the refund. These people make Liz Truss look competent. The branch is in Henfield, West Sussex - avoid it!
Dishonest store near Coldharbour Lane Southwest London
This store is my closest and my local being less than a 5 minute walk away. On several occasions when I’ve brought my items to be priced at the till I have been overcharged according to the prices that are labelled on the shelves. Just today, I have gone to purchase two packets of Maryland hazelnut and choc chip cookies which were priced at £1.09 each on the shelf, I have a picture of the ticket to prove this. At the till, my total bill being way more than expected, when queried, I have been told they are actually £1.75 a pack. I would never pay so much for such an item. It is much higher than what is expected and higher than other very nearby local retailers. When I questioned this the staff were very rude. They had no clue that the ticket price on the shelf was less and when I showed them, they were dishonest, trying to hide the ticket as though it were never there. There are 2 other flavours of this item and they were each also priced at £1.09. The manager/supervisors solution was that I choose one of these other flavours that I didn’t desire. This is not the first time this has happened. On a visit a few months ago, I was charged £3.69 for a small tin of Princes corned beef. This is usually the price of the larger tin. I queried this and was told that the price for the small tin had gone up so much that it was now more expensive than the larger tin. At the time there were no large tins in stock. However, the usual two tickets were still on the shelf with the lower price of £2.79 indicated for the small tin and the higher price of £3.69 indicated for the large tin. This is an item I purchase at this store frequently, so I’m very aware of what the usual price is. The shop staff tried to convince me that the small tins had been placed in the wrong place and that the ticket with the smaller price was indeed for the larger tin, which they conveniently did not have in stock and once again dishonestly tried to hide it, adjust long the higher price ticket over to in front of the small tins. I was fortunate to have taken photos of this also.
I understand that sometimes there can be errors in ticketing. But I am absolutely disgusted with the behaviour of the staff when this is pointed out to them. They were shouting and arguing with me and very rude. The dishonesty is shocking. We are all aware that under consumer law and customer rights, an item incorrectly priced should be sold to the customer as advertised. I am disgusted that rather than admit this, the 3 staff members this morning resorting to trying to hide the incorrect pricing.

Absolute joke of a company.
Absolute joke of a company.
Asked me to quote for replacing 2 x LED ceiling lights, got a price from the wholesalers. Gave them a price for labour and materials the very next day, to which they agreed.
Ordered the lights, came and installed them on a Saturday morning, then after I’d finished, they refused to pay the agreed price.
This is NOT how you do business, you agreed the price, you WASTED my time and now I’m OUT OF POCKET for the materials.
Word of advice to any trade, if these clowns ask you to do work for them, don’t expect to be dealing with any normal decent person.
Budgeon's Haverstock Hilll or Bludgeons…
Budgen's Haverstock Hill (or Bludgeons as a friend called them because they bludgeon you with their prices) has gone downhill since the take over. My main complaint is that this particular store smells really bad of I'm not sure what but it's absolutely disgusting. I had to leave recently because it was so bad I felt sick. My friends refuse to go there now for the same reason. Please sort this out Budgeons...
The Going Strand store is hopefully not…
The Going Strand store is hopefully not the face of the company? Poor service, being banned from the store for complaining about the decision to not serve an energy drink to my 18 year old daughter despite being with me… I was buying a lot of products but after she was refused service I decided not to buy there again because the law states no legal age for energy drinks, there self imposed ban caused not just a sale of monster to an 18 year-old because she had no id but because I was with her and tried to buy it despite being 39, refused sale of that and the beer I was buying, so they lost me, her and everyone I can tell about this that thinks it’s wrong to without law act like a higher power and ban customers for trying t buy stuff there entitled to buy let’s hope the blockbuster effect has a resurgence.
If you don’t remember if you were late returning a video rental 3 times they banned you, they did not need your custom any more, they went out of business, seems they did need local customers, they turned into LoveFilm, taken over by Amazon… trouble is Amazon already sells everything budgens does in partnership with Morrisons… well that’s my experience and why I won’t shop there, refusing a sale against no law then preventing me from spending over £50 there only to walk further to Tesco spend £38 on same stuff… including daughter buying her own energy drink… think about it
Budgens Upper Street
Extremely expensive, never have sales and the range isn't the best. But for some reason I love it! We shop here regularly

Very happy with a beautiful tree and the service.
Budgens in Wixams
Budgens in Wixams an absolute joke , waited for a DPD parcel for 2 days to be told their Pick up delivery machine don’t work so I can’t have my Apple parcel delivered there now , what a waste of time and space !!! If you can’t receive parcel just remove yourselves from that list then , Simple as that !! Pathetic
Budgen's Upper Street
Budgen's Upper Street, Islington.
I brought a hot chicken slice only to find that it was a sausage roll when I opened the packaging at home. I went back to the store explained the issue but instead of simply giving me a full refund I was very shortchanged (by the manager) by quite a bit of cash and wasn't given a receipt. I made a written complaint, the manager was given my direct contact details, but he did not respond.
I've also been short-changed by the in store post office when I've paid for tracked delivery but they sent it standard second class. Again I had to make a complaint to get back the money I was owed and a receipt which wasn't given to me at the time. Several times I've sent post which I've pre-stamped, so all they had to do was process it. But the staff always made mistakes, tried to overcharge me, sent it by the postal service I didn't ask for and were reluctant to give me receipts. The main postal lady is fully trained and is always helpful, but the other staff always make mistakes and never look like they know what they are doing. When I asked why these mistakes kept happening, I was informed that the Bugden's staff are not fully trained and they don't have time to train them properly!
I've shopped at Budgens for over 20 years but will not be shopping there anymore. I'm not going to buy from a store which rips me off, literally stealing money out of my pocket. It's a slap in the face when when I've contributed food to their foodbank bin on a weekly basis and have stopped people from stealing from their store. Budgen's cannot be trusted. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Completely useless shopkeeper
Completely useless shopkeeper. He didn't know that Amazon sometimes only gives a collection number to collect a parcel and he insist that I need a scan code. Only after tell him that l will call the police if he dont ask to his boss at the moment, he proced to do it. I think Amazon should not have this kind of partners.
Budgens Convenience store Lymm
Cashier was rude and spoke to me like she was doing me a massive favour, I asked her to put my change in the charity box when it stayed in the till I challenged her about and she replied "I haven't got time to do it now, I'll do it later, which leaves me wondering how much money has the charity lost out on to this shop, will boycott this store in future
