Very helpful assistant.

Today, 31st December, I visited Budgens, Frome, to use the car wash facilities.
I enquired at the checkout as to whether I needed to use cash or tokens, or whatever other means.
The delightful young lady that dealt with me was patient (I am eighty two), informative and extreme helpful. She explained the options available, what it would cost and how to pay.
It was between 2pm and 3pm.
If she can be identified by the date and time by management, then perhaps she should be commended for her excellent approach to customer satisfaction.
Such helpfulness is, sadly, becoming more and more of a rarity these days, I find.

They got greedy.

I used to buy ciggerettes on justeat from here I'm disabled and sometimes i find it difficult to get out. Budgens were the cheapest. Then over night their prices became extortionate. Won't be using again.

Budgens hazelgove fiveways parade

Hi

I always have a bad experience having to visit your budgens fiveways parade shop in hazel grove Stockport.
Staff lack general manners never mind customer service!
Constantly always on the phone when customers are trying to pay for items, no please or thank you’s and just absolutely rude!

Also shop sign in big letters closes at 11pm and that states on the website too 11pm closed!
But it is always closed for 10pm or before.

Staff don’t really care in my opinion for our local community, we need this sorting asap please.

Thanks

Tuffenel Park N7 0EA Campdale Road

This is a copy of my email sent to Budgens Campdale Road Tuffenel Park, today I am still waiting for a reply.

I bought some “soft amaretti” almond biscuits with orange flavor in your Tuffnel Park branch of Budgens. I was surprised to find they contained groundnut shells in the dough when I tasted them. Yesterday I returned them, one member of staff tasted them and agreed to give me a full refund.

Tonight, when I entered the store, the same member of staff did not greet me when he saw me, instead in a very rude manner, said that he would never refund anything in the future as he had paid from his own pocket for this refund. He said that it was my responsibility to read the allergen information on the box. The box in question declared that the Falcone Amaretti contained the almonds (but not the hard nut shells!)

The member of staff obviously doesn't understand what is the difference between what is edible and inedible. I did ask him to provide his name but refused to write it down or provide it to me.

For your information, all the boxes of amaretti-flavored biscuits have been removed from display, if it is normal for them to contain the shells surely they would have remained on sale?

I am still shaking and I am saddened and disappointed with this kind of behavior, another member of staff came to see what was happening and he agreed that I shouldn't have been treated in this way, this wasn't acceptable. He stated that he would talk to him. Before leaving the shop this member of staff said “I am sorry bruv “ therefore as I was leaving the store I gave him his £3.50. I don’t feel as if the word ‘bruv’ is a suitable term to be used towards a customer as it is a colloquial term and rather unprofessional.

I am senior in age to this member of staff and I would have hoped that he may show me at least some respect, I shop there regularly often five days a week. I have never and would never treat any of my clients in this way, as I work in luxury retail. Is this the way to reward your loyal clients?

MARCH 2025 and no an apology

Budgens are really expert at ripping…

Budgens are really expert at ripping off some customers. They don't give a receipt. The item on screen is super tiny via cash till. Their sale items are at full price. My average shopping should cost about £5 I get charge about £7. Don't go here. I thought first time was a one off, it happens every time. Is such a shame as I love the jack's range. Their vegetables soup is awesome.

Don't use Budgens/Frasers BP Diesel fuel

Be wary of refuelling with Diesel at Budgens/Frasers BP stations. Every time I refuel there my "water in fuel" warning is activated. I've complained to Budgens but they pass the buck advising the stores are run by independent owners under licence. I complained to BP but again they pass the buck advising they only supply fuel and oil. Most Diesel car owners won't be aware of the problem apart from occasional erratic RPM/ misfiring as most cars don't have water in fuel sensors. Diesel fuel storage tanks are a big problem for water contamination as unlike Petrol, Diesel fuel exerts no vapour pressure; as ambient warms it absorbs more moisture, as the tanks cool overnight moisture laden air is drawn into the tanks via vent pipes and condenses in the tank vent pipes and tank walls, building up in the bottom of the storage tanks. Many forecourts infrequently test their tanks for total water as it costs money from independent fuel analysis labs. Diesel fuel now contains Biodiesel, the methyl esters in biodiesel are hygroscopic. This means that they can absorb considerably more moisture than petroleum-derived diesel and hold this in suspension in the fuel. Petroleum-derived fuels absorb considerably less moisture by comparison and tend to shed water as a separate layer at the bottom of storage tanks. The total water content in any Hydrocarbon is the sum of all three phases of moisture, dissolved/ emulsified/ free and the ratio between the three is dependant on fluctuating temperature and pressure. Change the temperature or pressure and total water content will go up or down

We got compleaty riped off at Budgens…

We got compleaty riped off at Budgens at Holt. We paid the £1.50 for an hour thinking g we would get the £1.50 off our bill of £8.00 only to be told you have to spend £10.00 before you get the car park fee of £1.50 back. What a total rip off needles to say we won't be going back there again.

No longer going to be a customer

Terrible customer service and very overpriced.
They left an ATM operating that was dispensing the incorrect amount and were seemingly happy to see customers short changed every time they used it.
Managers are not contactable.
Disgraceful

charged for 2 when you only bought one.

A bar of chocolate normally priced at £1 gone up to £1.39 within the course of a week. These small shops like Budgens should be made to give you an itemised receipt just the same as supermarkets, they're making a killing over charging customers who can do nothing about it once they've left the store. Pay with CASH and use your calculator before you pay, if it holds up the queue hard cheese , better than being charged twice for items you've bought 1 of or over the printed price ticket -Budgeons Hoover Drive SS15. Dont be fooled by the little old man ,iv'e got his number.

Reason I seldom buy at Budgens - Most of the items they sell are over priced i.e Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc wine all other Grocery Shops selling @ £10.00 Budgens £11.35 - I understand convenience shops need to add a little extra BUT this seems Excessive
