Picked up camper in Belfast.
Never been in a camper before so this was a first time experience. Mark in Belfast was amazing, no question unanswered, above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and enjoy our holiday. Great camper van, clean and well looked after.

Very responsive and well oiled. What could be a harrowing exsperiance of coordination, scheduling arrivals ,pick ups and returns is made seemless by the staff

Don’t no use this company in Belfast as they are unprofessional and shocking company trading standards should approach them

First class service staff in Belfast were brilliant made our first time to hire so easy

On day of pickup we had several calls and separate times to pick up our vehicle. Which was poor process and service. Ranging from 1.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm.
When we arrived to pick up at 3.30 we were made to wait for a member of staff to be free which meant by the time we did our walk around it was after 5pm we were able to leave

When doing the walk around (which was very well done) we were told about there being gas provided. How to work everything you need in a vehicle and refill anything you’d need.

We later found inside the storage there were old used towels and bed linens inside the motorhome still. This is unsanitary, it also cost us money and time to resolve

While on our journey we discovered there was no gas and the spare gas was empty after being told it was full.

Half of the electrics inside the vehicle from the beginning, it didn't work due to a fuse. There were no spare fuses in the vehicle.

Adblue light went on the first day which we were told rarely happens.
Complaints initially didn’t even respond. Has taken weeks and no resolution or reimbursement.

Our first camper van experience was excellent! We are a family of 4 with a four year old and two year old and couldn’t have been happier with our Bunk Camper. It was a true adventure!

I had been particularly nervous about getting sleep however the camper was spacious, warm and the mattresses were top quality. It was completely blacked out at night so even the morning sun didn’t wake us.

As a mum I found the experience totally hassle free, we had everything we needed to hand as there is so much storage and being able to drive to the beach without having to pack up and get ready was easy, you just go!

We made memories to last a lifetime and can’t wait for our next trip!

Deceptive and misleading business - Don’t be fooled, this business is not legitimate and they are scammers.

I am urging you DO NOT BOOK. Their website says they have automatic transmission vehicles that they can allocate based on availability. When I booked, I emailed them immediately to ask if my booking could be allocated an automatic transmission vehicle. My booking is in 5+ months so this shouldn’t be difficult to find availability on.

I have since been told they don’t have any vehicles in Ireland/Northern Ireland. At all. My booking is for a vehicle pick-up in Northern Ireland. Not only is their website misleading, it’s completely deceptive.

As communicated with the so called “Guest Experience Team”, Elizabeth Dickson, this business is breaking the law and will not get away with it.

No customer service here because it’s become clear, they’re just straight out fraudulent. I have reported them to consumer protection and hope to get my stolen money back. Don’t risk it yourselves! Take this as your warning and clear sign, this business is a SCAM.

The camper we picked up this July in Belfast had well over 50000 miles on the clock, was shabby, the fridge didn’t work when we were driving, we couldn’t use the bathroom because of a leaking waste pipe.

When we complained it was agreed it was unacceptable and we should get in touch with the company to complain. After one email reply explaining they were very busy they stopped answering our repeated emails.

Terrible experience. Never again

Communication was excellent. We had all the information we needed before going on the trip, with timely email reminders and updates. We made a couple email enquiries before the departure date about inventory, etc, and received prompt, helpful replies.

The local branch were in touch by email and text about pickup. The pickup went smoothly. Mark was very friendly, thorough and patient. He showed me existing damage to the motorhome and encouraged me to take photographs. Allow about an hour for you to load all your stuff, have your induction and get going.

The motorhome itself was clean and well maintained. It was easy to drive with its automatic gearbox. It had everything we needed/wanted, except a microwave or a bike rack. Mark explained that the bikes would be safer in the garage compartment of the motorhome anyway. It didn't have a bin, but we pre-empted that and brought one with us. There was no washing up bowl, so we bought one on our travels. The sheets didn't fit the beds properly, which was a bit annoying. The water pump stopped working one night, but it fixed itself by morning. Must have been an airlock in the system. Bunk Campers were available on the phone at 10pm and would have sorted us out in the morning had the problem persisted.

The drop off process was very efficient. I always worry about hire companies trying to rip me off, but this was not the case. Paul handled the drop off and was equally as friendly, efficient and patient as Mark had been. He noted a broken garage door handle, but rather than try to bill me for it, he apologised for the inconvenience!

The highlight that prompted me to write this review is that Paul and Bunk Campers kindly agreed to refund the £40 we had paid up front for an extra gas bottle that we didn't use. Thank you!

I would advise that you do not need to pre-pay for an extra gas bottle, except perhaps if you were on a long trip in the winter and would be using gas to heat the interior.

2nd year renting from Bunk Campers in Ireland, 2022 ex Dublin and 2023 ex Belfast. Great service both times, prompt and efficient check in and camper familiarisation. Being able to leave our car at the Belfast branch was a big advantage, and we were happy that it was safely and securely parked up in open view, not tucked away down a dark alley or in a remote field. Camper van was pretty well equipped and we had no maintenance or reliability issues. Upon our return to Belfast the depot manager ( Paul ? ) seemed genuinely interested in where we had been and what we had been doing and dealt to our complete satisfaction with resolving the minor breakage we caused during our travels. Already planning another trip, but maybe further afield, New Zealand looks interesting ……

Great guys and a good campervan. Rented a campervan for 17 days for a roundtrip in Ireland. I definitely recommend them.

Recently rented a 6 berth camper van from bunk campers in carryduff, the whole experience was seamless. Booking and pick up was so straightforward. The van was spotless and well stocked with everything me and my 3 friends needed to make our trip stress free!! Big shout out to Paul for making the whole experience so good!! Would deffinelty recommend bunk to anyone looking for a reliable rental!

Easy pick up, staff were very helpful, campervan was spotless with all equipment & bedding.

Easy pick up, well informed and fairly easy to drive, even on country roads

Have just been away in bunk campers. very dissappointed as for the second time of booking they did not provide the campervan we picked. The one they give us was adequate however we specifically picked the aero plus for the single beds at the back and the ease of getting in and out of them. The one they give us had a high double bed which entailed us bringing a stepstool to climb in and out of. Most awkward when you are in your 60s. I rang customer service upon picking up the van and am still waiting for a reply. The fridge lock was broken causing our food to be scattered through the van, there was no connecter for the waterhose, there was no levelers provided making it difficult to cook and the fire extinguisher was a year out of date.
I would appreciate hearing from someone in bunk campers as when we returned it and explained these things nothing was said.

We hired a Vista II & toured Ireland for 5 days. Our trip was fantastic & we were blessed with fantastic weather. From the very start of our trip to the end we were impressed with the service from Paul & Steve, what a professional, helpful & knowledgeable pair! Our motorhome was perfect & we loved waving to other ‘Bunkers’ we saw on our travels :) Top Tip….Mizen Head is a must if you are touring the area :)

Great customer service - we had to go back to the rental place twice about issues and they sorted it quickly. Quick return time. We had a Europa and it was easy to use all the facilities. Clean when we got it. A small issue with the bathroom sink, which leaked, but wasn't a huge issue. Very helpful - one time we stopped in was just because we were concerned after switching the gas. There was actually nothing wrong, but they still checked everything out in the rain for our peace of mind.

We rented the Aero for a 10-day road trip in Ireland and it was the perfect match for a couple! The van was clean, comfortable and all-inclusive, making our trip a unique experience. The water tank needs to be refilled every 2-3 days, but this is relatively easy in a country like Ireland. Bunk Campers customer service was spot on. The drop-off and drop-off procedures were a matter of minutes. We will definitely choose them for our next roadtrip.

Friendly staff, brand new fully equipped vehicles, couldn't have asked for a better experience with them, looking forward to booking my next trip
