The electrical hook up lead was too short on a couple of occasions, meaning I had to turn the van around, or drive perilously close to a drop off to be able to connect. I saw other vans close by who had lots of spare cable coiled up, so clearly your lead is unusually short.
On a more general point, there was no instruction folder in the van, so when I tried to learn how to use the control panel it was quite difficult. Yes, you can say I just have to go on line to see a video, but that's no help on a remote campsite in County Down with no phone signal or wifi. We spent a cold night there as I couldn't figure out how to put the heating on. The perfunctory instructions we had upon collecting the motorhome did not help when trying to interpret a control screen that is based entirely upon symbols without any helpful words. We've holidayed many times on canal boats and in rented cottages, and without fail there's been a folder containing essential instructions and information.
When I discussed all these points with Mark on my return he said I could have called and someone would come out. If any of these problems had been a game changer I would have done so, but we were travelling with a very particular plan on a tight schedule, so I didn't want to have to put time aside for someone to meet with us and then spend time fixing whatever the issue is. When I hire a van from you I just want to see you at the beginning and the end. It's up to you to make sure that's all I need to do.
This is the beginning of the season for you. The lack of attention to detail in preparing the van for us was pretty disgraceful. As the van had been hired out before you must have been aware of the faults before it was given to us, but the impression we came away with is that no-one had really been through a thorough check list. I'm a bit bemused that the van has to be returned before 10am so that you can prepare it for the next customer but, for example, it was only during the walk around inside the van that your rep saw that there were no shelves in the fridge and, indeed, I then had to request a second shelf when only one was brought in first. The chocks had also not been provided. A shambles indeed.
Your pricing structure gives you huge opportunities to P off your customer. It reminded me of Ryanair. Here's the rental price. Now, would you like to sleep onboard? Here's the charge for bedding. Would you like to level your van so the frying pan doesn't slip off the hob and the sink can empty? Here's the charge for chocks. Do you want to be able to use the toilet immediately? Here's the charge for fluid. Do you want to sit outside the van? Here's the charge for a couple of folding chairs and a table. It makes me think that you have an accountant that doesn't speak to your sales and marketing people. Here's an idea. If someone's shelling out a significant amount of money to hire your van, throw in as "free to the user" all the items mentioned above, but build that cost in your rental fee. Nobody will notice them. If someone wants to bring their own bedding, furniture or toilet fluid give them a discount. Then when I book I won't be peed off by all the extras that are actually essential, and you'll still have the revenue. Win win.
Having said all that, we loved the trip, despite the many issues. The van was, in the main, great and suited our needs in pretty well all respects and was a surprisingly easy to drive considering I'm not used to anything that size. We're used to camping in a tent and the additional comfort was a big bonus. This could so easily have been a 5 star review, but you screwed up.
PS I forgot to mention in our correspondence that the motorhome came without any steps. I assume that this is another oversight on the part of Bunk Campers. The step down from the side door is very high and it was easy to jar one's back when stepping down.

Christian is excellent really chatty and keen to get people to explore Albania. Ali was highly professional and great at showing people around the vans with a smile and some wry comedy. Obviously a very busy day and pressure washer broken so van was a bit grubby externally and needed the water topping on pickup.
Beyond that the van was flawless and whole customer care experience was very good.

Over all a great experience and I would go back to them again. It was a little frustrating having to wait 3 hours for the camper. The only other thing I'd change would be the bedding. It was so old and worn out. Other than that. The experience was great and the manager was very approachable and nice

Renting a vehicle outside of the country and making a deposit with a company you only know from internet reviews is extremely stressful. I reviewed many similar sites and was wary about all of them including Bunk Campers. I decided to go with Bunk because they were they had the smallest service area of all the others. I can't tell you how pleased I was with my experience. Picking up the camper took quite a while longer than I anticipated and the pickup times (between 2 and 4 pm) kind of take up the middle of your day but everything else was perfect. I opted to pick up the camper a day early and let it sit at the facility so I could avoid parking it downtown Dublin and just grab it at our convenience the next morning. Christian was extremely kind and helpful with both the rental and the return. The only issue we had with the actual equipment was easily fixed by email, but since it was after hours there was no "emergency phone number" that I could call and had to wait for a response. The response was relatively swift and our issue was resolved the next day. Also a tip to those planning to drive in Ireland: RIDE THE LINE. There are many small towns and narrow roads. You need to make sure you are very close to the center line of the road. Also using Google Maps it not the best option for navigation because it doesn't factor in the size of the road based on your vehicle. There are some taxi apps that will keep you on the more traveled roads. Bunk should be able to recommend some if you ask.

BRILLIANT EXPERIENCE!!! This was our second time using bunk campers and it was flawless again. We rented the Europa for 4 nights. Camper was brilliant and the folks in the depot were very friendly and easy to deal with. I would 100% recommend and I will 100% use bunk campers again

We picked up the camper at Dublin Airport and Christian was very helpful and we were in and out in no time
The holiday was great no major problems with the van and I would give the whole experience👍
As a critique the the only negatives were minor
1) The main windscreen blind would not close fully
2)There was a used tissue in the little cubby hole beside the bed on the passenger side
We will definitely be back

Clean motor home with everything we needed for 4 people. Very comfortable and clean. The customer service was amazing, they went above and beyond. They shared a lot of information about where to stay and what to be aware of with rules and regulations. Would definitely come back!

Nah i wouldnt rent off them again lost my buissness and a future 4k plus ...left stuck with no heat because bunk campers dont supply a spanner to change lpg, had to go buy one.
on top the will take ye for your deposit on the most minor things change that wee plastic piece 130€..rear running light cover cost 10e ..2 screws to put in ..had to pay for the plastic recycling for the little 50mm x80 mm plastic that broke 10€ but yet had to pay to recycle something that wasnt there, then pay 85e per hr To put 2 screws in add your vat. Camper itself for a 2024 was built out of cardboard , weak and bad layouts. Never got refunded for dog that i never took. I can say aswell exspect to lose your deposit..irish roads arent meant for these units exspect to lose your deposit on top when ye hit country roads in the republic runnin english plates as they arent republic based but nprth youll get funny looks from the locals and not good ones..Friendly staff but a money pit for renter and chance of loosing your deposit is very high to say the least.

We are from Germany and had planned a trip through the south of Ireland. The team explained to us the special features of the motorhome and also the Irish traffic. The motorhome was in perfect condition. We felt well prepared for the round trip.

We chose the VALUE PACK option to be as peaceful as possible, with our large family (4 children). We recovered the motorhome on Thursday August 1st; after more than two hours of waiting* (only one person available to serve all customers – to avoid this situation we had chosen a day during the week…).
During our first stop, a 2-hour drive from Dublin, we noticed that the water pump was not working. We tried to contact the support number on August 2 morning. We had someone from Bunk Campers company by phone. He took the references from the contract and the vehicle model. And explained to us that we would be called back.
Without news, on August 3 morning, we sent an email to THL to ask for a call back.
We have never been called back by Bunk Camper company or THL company.
We have also informed CampingCar Online. After reading our email, we were finally contacted by Bunk Camper on August 5 (already half of our stay without water !).
After lots of manipulations via screen sharing (whatsApp), we were unable to resolve the pump problem.
The technician then told us that he was going to find a technician near our destination of the day to intervene. On August 6, a technician was able to intervene. The end of the stay was near, so we refused the intervention so as not to further disrupt our trip.
We returned the camper van on the scheduled day, without problem.
In addition to the lack of water in a camper van for 6 people, I also
alerted by email to the fact that: missing fitted sheet for a double bed, no brush/dustpan, no strainer, only one outdoor table even though there are 6 of us!
The pump problem made us lose time (to understand and seek assistance) but also penalized our planned stay (stopping to do the dishes for example).
We are also dissatisfied with the level of equipment provision (remember that we were a family of 6 including 4 children, with the expensive « value pack » option).
For all the harm caused, I request damages.

What a wonderful experience.
Last year I had a not so nice experience with another motorhome rental company in Edinburg.
This time it was a wonderful experience how it can be done with Bunk.
We had booked an Europe 4 person for two people from Wednesday 29 May to Saturday 8 June 2024.
The booking process went smoothly. Online check in was clear.
Location Dublin is close to the airport. Looks a bit outdated.
However, we were very surprised when we were offered a spik spinter new damage-free Adria Matrix 600 SL Axess with a stepless 9-speed automatic transmission. All comfort was provided. Great and easy to drive, especially in mountain landscapes.
We were kindly and professionally helped by Samantha.
Also when returning the motorhome we were received and dealt with smoothly and friendly Deepak.
Recommended.
