Very nice people, and a great service. I had a bit of a ding above the driver side door, and they took the deposit, which was totally fair. They were very nice about it. Would definitely recommend. It’s a bit of an expensive holiday, but worth the adventure.

Very nice staff, very helpful, and our camper van was great.

Perfect vehicule for a perfect trip all around Scotland ! The bunkcampers team is nice but what a mess to reach and to pick-up the camper. Really hard to reach the team by phone to organize the check-in and to do the check-in, it took 2 hours.. that's too bad because the team is nice..

Worst customer service ever and we have rented RVs across the world.
Poor management and advice on pick up how to operate the display. We’re told to come at 4 pm and there was unorganized chaos. Left at 6 pm as we waited forever for our turn.
Bought extra insurance but never received the promised email conversation.
Non functioning kitchen sink from day 1. Leaking and spoiled our food we bought as it flooded the cabinet underneath the first morning. Contacted Bunk and Apollo per email and phone. No help not even an answer.
On return Heather told us she will speak to supervisor for some compensation as we had no sink for 14 days.
Never heard anything again!

We got there at 1440 to pick up our motorhomr after receiving a message from JustGo at 1200 that our motorhome would be ready for pick up at 1430. After going up to the counter, the lady informed me that our reservation had been switched from JustGo to BunkCampers. Initially I was okay with that as long as we would get everything we paid for. After her asking me to fill out the paperwork on the computer, I told her that I had already done that weeks ago but she told me since the reservation was changed I had to do it all over again. After filling out everything again, she came by to confirm everything was good and then said we should have the motorhome in one hour. At this time, it was already 1515. So we asked if we could get it earlier and she said we'll try to do our best to get it in 30 minutes. So we decided to wait since it was not in our control, and now 1600 came, no motorhome, 1700 comes, no motorhome. Finally at 1750 they came and said our motorhome was ready. Which means we waited over 3 hours just to get our motorhome. After the supervisor showing us around, our motorhome had an error message on the electric panel, so he went and reset it and said it would be good in 15 minutes. Then he left, with the keys, and while waiting for our bedding for another 15 minutes, I went in to ask if we were ready, and he said he forgot and that we were good to go.

We ended up missing our campground reservation that night due to them closing the gate at 2200 and had to get additional campgrounds during our trip to ensure we were plugged in so we wouldn't run out of gas since everything ran off gas when the engine was turned off. Initially we had 2 gas bottles (1 plugged in and 1 as reserve) and he said the 1 plugged in was low, so he decided to swap us out. Instead of giving us an additional reserve bottle, he only left one.

There were a slew of other issues like bathroom sink leaking, the side of the motorhome lining (which had been hit previously), came off and was flapping everywhere so we had to tie it (which someone had done previously), the reserve battery not working, the tires were old and need replacing, and the gray water extension not hooked up.

As we were leaving (with our motorhome) I told the supervisor that I would hope they'd refund the extras we paid for, and he said, yes let's talk when you come back. When I dropped off the van, I asked the person who checked our van if we could talk to the supervisor and she said "he's dealing with a million other things, but I'll send you an email and we'll get things resolved." We are not weeks after this fiasco and no one has reached out.

I would highly recommend people stay away from this company. My wife and I had the most terrible experience and will never come back!

Unfortunately, Bunk Campers gave us a faulty vehicle leading to multiple issues during our roadtrip. We also paid to rent bedding kits but they forgot to provide them. As of today, they still refuse to refund them. Overall, we experienced a bad customer service when you need them the most.

After sales service was non existent. Had issues with the van but no-one returned my call from message left. Made several phone calls at the weekend but got no answer and no call backs. Had no option but to return to BUNK site and end my trip. Still in dispute 3 weeks later. Would not recommend them.

We picked up a camper van at Bunk Campers Edinburg. We were off to a great start with friendly/welcoming staff and ready for a one week roadtrip my wife and I and our 2 young children. Then we only had issues. Unfortunately.

1/ A non functioning campervan was provided :
- No front light (Another vehicle stopped us on the road to kindly inform us that one front light wasn’t working)
- We had no leisure battery (the battery was not connected to the vehicule hence no electricity for one week)
- The bedding kits were missing. It was about zero degree at night and my wife and I where travelling with our young children (1 year old and 4 years old). Both got sick after the first night.
- It wasn’t possible to turn on the gaz heater as switching from leisure battery to gas has to be done via an electric control panel (the control panel works only if there is a minimum of leisure batterie)

2/ Unfortunately, we also had a flat tire. But he vehicle did not have a spare wheel resulting in :
- Waiting 24h on the side of a road with our young children before road assistance could pick us up as they had to order a tire for the camper van.
- Road assistance towed our vehicule to a garage 2H30 opposite to our destination. It took another day to fix the wheel at the garage.
- Road assistance mentioned that they would have been able to simply change the wheel if a spare one was provided with the rental (Instead of towing us too the garage, removing the wheel, dismounting the damaged tire, ordering a new tire and mounting the new tire to the wheel.)
- During all that time, it was impossible to contact Bunk Camper customer service. They never replied to our calls, messages or emails.

3/ At the drop off at Bunk Camper Edinburg.
The manager verbally assured us they would reimbursed the 2 blankets we bought (50GBP), reimburse the bedding kits which were not provided (110GBP), and refund two days of rental (277GBP). And that they will call us back the same day to confirm the transaction. Unfortunately they never did. We followed up everyday, and everyday we were told they would call us back. Again, they never did.

We finaly received an email from Go See Travel stating that Bunk Campers would reimburse only the blanket we bought (50GBP) and compensate with one day of rental minus tax (114GBP).

In the end, we received less than a day of rental as compensation that Bunk Campers estimates fair for:
- Providing a vehicule with no front light
- No electricity for a week (Affecting the interior light, heater and fridge)
- Two missing bedding kits
- No spare wheel
- 24 hours waiting on the side of the road
- One day at the garage waiting for the repair
- One day looking for a place to buy blanket
- No customer service at all
- Two young children who both got sick after the first night with no blanket and not heater (it was ~1 degree at night)

We still have hope that Bunk Camper will make this right. But we find it important to inform everyone. If you rent a fully functioning camper van : that’s great. If you get any serious problems, like us, we’re not convinced you’ll get much help. At least that’s what happened for us.

- just got one bed sheet instead of two
- had to wait two hours picking up the motorhome
- windows did not open well
- door opend during driving
- could not empty grey water, so the sink slopped during driving
- did not receive cleaning stuff
- arm rest from co-driver’s seat was broken
- floor was dirty
- locks from outdoor doors were extremly hard to handle

- the motorhome drove well, so no worries with motor
- staff was friendly :)

Camper was not ready on time, and when we finally received it it was after 5pm - staff were in a made rush to leave work so inspection and instruction were rushed through in the rain resulting in many problems not detected , gas stove did not work , toilet did not flush , brake lights did not work - plus other many small defects - just not good enough value for the hefty bill charged for this rental - how this vehicle passed any internal inspection is beyond me - all we got was an apology - no offer of any form of refund for the rental we paid for but did not Receive!!

My wife and I have organized a tour of Scotland for our honeymoon, the last two weeks of August 2022 and the first week of September. We trusted the company Bunk Campers and booked through their website with an all-inclusive insurance package to be safe in case of any necessity, including roadside assistance.
After two days of leaving Edinburgh, about 5 hours away from the rental point, we stopped at a gas station and filled up with nearly 100 pounds. However, the camper broke down and wouldn't start. We called the assistance number provided to us before leaving and after an hour, a tow truck with a mechanic on board arrived. The mechanic identified the problem and it was associated with the transformer. The vehicle needed to be replaced and we had to be taken back to Edinburgh. The mechanic could not do anything else and left.
This happened around lunchtime. After more than 30 calls to the assistance service that continued to tell us that they would arrive after 30 minutes or that they had already left, we were left stranded in the middle of nowhere until the next day. We spent the whole night there.
The next morning, the nightmare of calls started again, and finally, around 10 am, a tow truck arrived to pick up the camper and take us back to Edinburgh. However, the surprises didn't end there. The tow truck took us to a Tesco shopping center parking lot that was an hour away and left us there, saying that someone would come to pick us up later. After waiting for another 5 hours and making endless calls, no one ever came to pick us up. So we found a way to take a bus back to Edinburgh and booked a hotel at our own expense.
The day after, the Bunk Campers agency apologized, saying that the recovery agency had created problems. They provided us with a new camper, and we set off again. Upon returning from the rushed trip, as our itinerary had been compromised, we calculated the refund due to us for the inconvenience. The refund included the days lost, the lost food expenses, the hotel expenses, the fuel expenses, and the means of transportation expenses, not to mention the emotional damage. The agency promised to process the refund within 28 days or by the end of October 2022.
After these days had passed, we had not received anything, so we wrote an email to the agency. They responded that they would expedite things, but we still didn't receive anything.
So, we took legal action, spending more money and sending an international registered letter using a lawyer. Upon reception, it was completely ignored, so we sent another PEC without receiving any response. It's almost May 2023, and we still haven't received any refund. It's shameful.
We will continue down this path until we receive the credited amount, but everything seems surreal. We absolutely do not recommend this company. The refund is about £1200, a little less. A company that appears to be so great has disappeared into thin air. Shame on you.

We hired a van with Bunk Campers for a vacation in Scotland. It didn't go very well.

• Our Europa’s engine broke down on the morning of April 10th 2022, leaving us stranded on the shores of Loch Lomond and waiting for help the whole day. We tried calling the Edinburgh branch, but no one picked up until 5 pm.
• One full day of just waiting for a truck to take us back: that truck never came. In the evening, we decided to risk it, and drove all the way down to Edinburgh (the engine thankfully held).
• He mentioned a new van would be ready for us on the morning of the next day at 9:30.
• The next day the engine failure was confirmed by the Bunk Campers mechanic: it was their fault, the van had to be swapped with a new one.
• We were offered a smaller van (the Vista plus, I believe) albeit not at 9:30 but later in the day (around lunch time). It was either that or we had to wait another 2 hours for the next available Europa. We chose to just go.
• We lost in waiting almost two days. We had to drive all the way back from loch Lomond to Edinburgh, then the next day up again for 3 hours to loch Ness: lots of miles and gas we wouldn’t have spent otherwise.
• We missed an already paid bookings around Scotland.
• Mostly, we’re sad we couldn’t do some of the things we planned, like a small boat cruise on the isle of Skye.

A few words on the Vista plus we got in exchange:

• That van was broken too: not in the engine, but in the grey water collection. The waste water was dripping from its belly and never reached the container.
When I understood that something was amiss, I asked my family to try and use the sinks as little as possible. But then, what’s the point of a motorhome if you can’t use the water inside? We hired two motorhomes from Bulk Campers and both were defective.

In sum: two broken vans, two wasted days, money spent and money lost unnecessarily.

Of course we asked for compensation, and of course they're playing dead. We're still waiting, but it's obvious Bunk Campers is a joke.
Stay away from them: if something goes wrong, you're on your own.

Great service, great van, great experience.

Everything in the campervan was easy to use and navigate. The team are professional and clear form start to finish. Highly recommend to anyone and would definitely use again.

We rented the Aero Plus and it was a great experience! Bunk Campers provided wonderful customer service and very helpful. Camper van was very clean, comfortable and we had no issues on our road-trip. Perfect for a family!

Excellent customer service! All the staff were so friendly, helpful, personable, and genuinely cared about any questions or concerns we had. We specifically dealt with David out of the Edinburgh branch; heck of a guy. Overall a great experience, and definitely recommend.

Great staff who were friendly, helpful and informative. The van was in good condition and had everything we needed for a great holiday. The booking process and handover was easy and quick.

Able to pick van up earlier than expected. Really compact camper van well equipped. Excellent central heating system, electric hook up or gas. Really powerful engine, good on snow and Ice. All in all an excellent winter mountain road trip.
