Have always fed my dog healthy heart grain free butchers dog food as it does not contain chicken which she does not tolerate. however after a pack of 6 had useless ring pulls that where not for for purpose , had to which Iuse a tin opener.
Contacted customer services and after a lot of to and froing they offered me £5 of my next purchase because they say I only complained about 1 can which I clearly did not.
I do not want their insulting token gesture just more quality control . Am now buying a more expensive brand and have had no issue with ring pulls.

Rotten dog food
Purchased £400 of Butchers tinned dog food, emailed 2 weeks ago to complain as multiple cans were of poor standard (some still sealed). Attached receipts, photos and still heard nothing back. I have kennels and multiple dogs had upset stomachs. Needless to say I will be returning the rest and looking for another brand to use!

Our cockapoo had only ever eaten dry food when we rehomed him last year. We started him on a mix of dry food and Butchers trays for dogs with delicate stomachs. Within a few weeks, he was picking out the wet food to eat, and leaving the kibble. Now, he still has a small dish of biscuits to nibble on, but wolfs his Butchers food down at every meal. He comes to tell me it’s food time, and loves trying out different flavours. We have a very happy, healthy dog now, who is full of energy - and I think a lot of that is down to Butchers. Good quality products, with a great range of textures and flavours, and a reasonable price for the quality, would totally recommend

I have always been happy with Butcher’s dog food and my dog does very well on the turkey recipe.
However, it now seems that many suppliers only sell the variety packs and no longer stock single tins.
My dog can only eat the turkey flavour, so buying a mixed/variety pack means most of the tins would not be used and go to waste.
It would be really helpful if Butcher’s could offer a multi-pack of just the turkey tins, or make sure suppliers continue to sell single tins.
The food itself is good, but the lack of single-flavour options makes it difficult for dogs with specific dietary needs.

Have used butchers dog food for over twenty years and until now I was happy. The consistency and meat content has been changed and things added with no warning anywhere! The food is sloppy and mouse like. My dogs definitely do not seem to enjoy as much as they used to

Great products that I have been very loyal to and used for years. Customer service is excellent and efficient. Jules C has been so helpful with an issue I felt they should be aware of. A lot of other companies could learn from their quality of service to customers. Well done 👏

After complaining about the amount of jelly in the tripe loaf variety and the watery content also in the tin , I complained and Julia offered me a £10 voucher , I told her that I had bought 4 boxes of x24 cans and they were the same not the normal standard , she then offered £40 as a bank transfer which I thought fair and accepted, our boxer girl is 10 yrs old and has eaten this tripe loaf all her life as other dog foods upset her stomach ,
All my emails were answered quickly and politely, by Julia and Taku also Liz thanks again for your help .

The customer service is very good . They go out of their way to resolve matters.
Even if it's not the outcome you are hoping for, they explain why and offer alternative guidance..much appreciated..thank-you

I have been feeding my dog tripe grain free for nearly 3 years as she has allergies to grain and the last 3 months every time I buy a box of six or more every tin has a different consistency and almost all of them have a ball of jelly in the middle of the meat and hardly any meat. The meats are all different colours and really unhappy with the product

I wrote a review on Butchers dog food regarding only 23 tins in a box of 24 that I bought in Asda. I received a reply where they mistakingly believed I had found the missing tin. This isn't true as there were only 23 tins in the box. So on future purchases I have to open the box in the shop to confirm there are 24 tins. So beware when buying

Bought a multi mix box for new pup and it was not till I was halfway through the box that I read the ingredients, with lamb 38% chicken and 4% lamb
Beef 40% chicken 6%beef, chicken well that’s not misleading it is mostly chicken with a Hint of lamb and beef! The reply was Typicle to say the least we stay within the rules and regs, maybe so but it is misleading and to some confusing!

I have used Butchers for years for various dogs. However I started using the multipack 24 cans mixed variety beef & kidney, lamb & kidney & chicken with kidney. I purchased online from Pets at Home. Nearly every delivery has at least 6 deformed and damaged cans in it. It is impossible to contact Pets at Home. I have tried their chat bot several times without success. I have emailed Butchers too. There is no phone number available for Pets at Home. I have spent literally hours trying to make contact. Butchers just tell me to contact the retailer. I am going to give up and find another food and retailer. Pets at Home customer service is terrible.

I received a prompt automated acknowledgement of my request
This was followed up by a clear conversation with the excellent Julia C who sorted everything out and kept me informed.
What’s not to like - impressed.

I recently had to contact Butchers Customer Support regarding the quality a batch of tinned food I had purchased. All of the tins had some kind of production fault, instead of the jelly going around the edge of the tin and the tripe loaf in the centre these looked like those Arctic rolls you used to see in the 70's. A little bit of mushy meat like mousse and then a big centre roll of clear jelly.
The team soon sorted it out and explained what may have caused those tins to look like they did and one customer services lady, Liz B, went above and beyond to make it right and I received a full refund for the tins plus a little extra. There were a few hiccups with their refund system, a glitch in the software I believe, and Liz B sent another link and code so I was able to receive the refund ok.
Thank you Liz B and Jules for all your help during a frustrating time. And Dora sends her thanks too and is looking forward to the next batch of Butchers tripe which should be delivered this week. We are hoping it's back to it's more solid consistency as that does fill Dora's tummy up better.
It's good to have a helpful team working on consumer problems when needed. Thank you everyone.

This is my spaniel’s favourite food. Every flavour has them jumping with excitement and their sensitive tummy’s love it. We recently had to contact customer service as we had one strange tin in a batch of 12 but the customer service representative - Julia C was super. She identified the issue and quickly provided reassurance and a resolution. It was a joy to deal with her. I only wish all complaints with other companies could be resolved with the efficiency and human touch Julia applied. A real credit to the team at Butchers. Merry Christmas all!
