Butter is great!
I first used Butter for a flight for 2 to Jamaica! Was soo easy and simple to book! Absolutely no issues and made it affordable to pay for a dream holiday for me and my partner. Since I have used Butter multiple times and never any issues, always comes in handy. Butter currently only allows one purchase at a time apart from flights which is slightly inconvenient but all in all an amazing helpful app to split payments for litterally anything online!

Not as it used to be
I’m not sure what’s happened to them. Paid off my last transaction before time to book the flight and my credit went to zero. Customer support is useless. The app is buggy - you can’t edit anything, you can’t delete cards (just add), you can’t delete or change the bank account (the trash cans are just icons without any code, so no link/script attached). I can’t change my phone number and I’ve been asking the customer support for a year now. Can’t update my wages.
Update: I appreciate that Butter reps tried to reach out and explain things. However, please work on the UX, actually follow up on the CS queries (log the chats in your ticketing system) and perhaps don’t drop the long term customers, because of arbitrary algorithms or credit scores if they’re COMMITTED to making full payments. I’m pretty sure that if they had access to cheap credit elsewhere, they wouldn’t need to turn to Butter.co.uk to spread the cost of travel 😑 I still feel how I feel about the way many of us, long-standing customers who’d never missed the payment, had been treated recently and still don’t understand how you can take away the facilities from people after they made early repayments for he sake of chasing other BNPL providers.

Great customer support
I have used Butter several times and have never had an issue with their service. I had a payment concern as the hotel charged me despite using Butter. I flagged it to Butter and the customer service person, Hannah, responded to me within 10 minutes and resolved the issue within an hour!

I had used almost all my £500 credit limit then they introduced the only 1 purchase at a time shambles. Spent the last wee while paying ALL the £500 back, leaving myself skint sometimes. Also never was late for a payment. And now they are telling me I have ZERO credit limit. I have heard numerous people say this. DO NOT pay this company. They are going down and trying to get as much money back as possible by giving customers false promises. When they go bust you won’t have to pay them anyway.
So my advise is keep your money and go else where 😊
