Pending order with no update!

My order has been pending from the 20th December I don't even know if the things I order will be delivered and when they will be delivered. Can you please give me an update. The money is still pending as well on my barclays account. What is the delay please?

If I could give one star I would

If I could give one star I would . I stupidly listened to them and paid off what I owed as it was less than what I needed to buy. Kept getting fobbed off saying they can’t let me have anymore orders ( even tho I still had credit availability) untill it was cleared . I waited 2 weeks for the “ system to catch up” still owed 50 but would let me pay for two weeks. Yesterday woke and the account had caught up So I cleared it called them coz I still couldn’t order to be told oh your account is now in for review ! Then I get a email saying sorry your no longer aloud to have credit !! What ever you do don’t fall for the “ clear your balance befor making new perchaces “ coz it’s rubbish there clearly just getting all money owed into them to shut down. And no one listen to the “I can’t mention his name “ coz he’s just as bad as the “under writers”

Sadly, would definitely not recommend the Shopping area of the site

The one star rating by no means reflects the individual customer service staff, it is a reflection of the shopping area of the site.

When these (app and browser extension) were working they were excellent, however there has been numerous downtime of both over the last couple of months. When contacted Butter advised dates for it to be up and running which were incorrect. When they did come back up the browser extension was not working properly.

Very soon after they were up and working an arbitrary restriction was launched, with no prior communication, to one shopping purchase at a time. This seems to have been made with no consideration for previous payments and available credit limit. The explanation given over the phone is to prevent customer overspending during the Christmas period, what then is the point of linking a bank account and having a credit limit process!!

The upgrades advertised (Butter X spreading payments over 10 months and the virtual card for shopping) sounded promising, however there are no benefits to having these if customers are restricted to one purchase at a time. Like others, I am considering paying off and closing my account.

I have not used the Flight/holiday area, but it seems that the customers that have are happy with this service. Perhaps you should have stuck to this service Butter which you seems to have been doing quite well, rather than looking to expand into the Shopping/virtual card Service and doing so so poorly.

this company used to be great! What is going on at BUTTER! *Updated*

** UPDATE**

Since posting a review the company has engaged with me regarding my concerns and have accepted that mistakes were made in how they communicated changes to their platform lending criteria mainly limiting purchases to one at a time. While this may have been frustrating at the time I now feel like I have a better understanding of the reasons behind that change and they have said that they are working on ways to increase the flexibility on future purchases and experimenting with different options. They have assured me that steps have now been put in place to provide customers with information on any further changes. I guess as a new company in this space it is easy for customers to judge harshly on their experience but the most important thing is that they are learning from mistakes and working to improve the overall experience as a whole and I am satisfied with how I have been treated and hope to continue using their services going forward. I have changed my initial review from 1 star to 4 as I feel that represents a positive improvement.

this company used to be great! Launching the first buy now pay later card which is now largely redundant as you can only use the facility to make one purchase at a time. What a stupid idea, no other bnpl product on the market at the time of writing this review has this restriction. You have a credit limit facility for the sole reason to manage the amount you can spend, this should not be limited to one single transaction. If you are going to put a restriction on how many purchases you are able to make this should be set at a sensible amount based on your credit limit! Like 10 or 20 purchases. This would be more in line with apps like Ziltch. I hope you listen to your customers because we are your business without us you don’t have anything! Whatever business reasons you have for making this change I think you should really revaluate this as it will do you more harm than good in the long run.

Absolutely disgusted by this company…

Absolutely disgusted by this company been with them a while now made purchases always paid early and recently had my credit increased I went on to purchase gifts for my children’s Xmas last week and the purchase wouldn’t go through so I phoned them up to be told that they review customers accounts every 90 days and I would hear back within 72 hours. I originally had £200 credit limit and I’ve just went on and checked it and they’ve took it all away it’s absolutely disgusting that they can do this to people at this time of year especially when I’ve never missed a payment and always paid early I’m appalled

Keep away from them

This company treat customers with disregard, two weeks before Xmas they stopped all purchases without giving notice to their customers, which shows no loyalty or respect for customers!
They keep going off for a month without warning (I am sure people can pursue a court case) as they require to give notice if they think that it will affect those who are interested in using their services!
Please keep away from this company.

ISSUE RESOLVED

RESOLVED!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS HELPED ME WITH THIS ISSUE. AND IM HAPPY TO CONTINUE USING THEM! Butter use to be brilliant. U could spend up to your credit limit and pay ova selected months. I went to use my account today only to be told untill i have paid of my purchases im not allowed to order, i still have credit that i needed to access. No communication on this desision was given! 2 weeks before xmas as well! Id rather stick with laybuy and clearpay!

They will get there

I have been with these from the start. Originally just offering flights now they have moved into lots of things yes it's been rocky and a really bad last few months but things getting resolved finally. I'm Hopefully things will get back on track and butter will get better and better in time. As someone else said William is an asset to this company and is a great.. keep communication going that way your customers stay informed and won't go on a rampage.. looking forward to see where this company will go in the future 😀

Had an email from William asking if he could contact me regarding my original review sent email back of saying yeah no problem :- William not long after contacted me and to be honest I had a great chat regarding butter and the recent changes that had been made to there service and how they communicated those changes or how they didn't communicate them very well.

Was nice to actually speak to someone from there company over the phone and talk to a human being, I do believe it's a good product and service and if they can implement some changes to make things a little bit more clear then I've no complaints.

Infact I will still use the service after speaking to William and it's good to see company's trying to reach out to there customers who haven't had that perfect interaction with them.

I was sceptical like a lot of others…

I was sceptical like a lot of others thinking it was going into administration and they was just telling us excuses as I was told 24/48 hours I’d be manually put back onto the retail part but 72 hours later I finally got back on, and I did the same on the home page pressed the “x” nothing happened and then today it finally worked!! So keep trying this eventually it will work :)

Spoke with another member of staff…

Spoke with another member of staff today they explained what happened it was up last Friday but some of the technical side of the app wasn't approved so it cause issues with getting retails back up up running, they have a list of thousands of customers and they are going through one by one setting them up manually, they said it will be back on this week! 10000% the guy was lovely!

Spoke with William today and he was an…

Spoke with William today and he was an amazing help. Didn't realize how simple getting back up and running is. Found out mine wasn't working and all I had to do was log out , log back in and on the home screen ( the part where it says working behind the scenes ) there is an x button on the top right, all I had to do was click that and all is working again. For any one who is having problems try this. Still having problems then call as the team at butter are amazing and will help you. William thank you so much for your help you are an amazing customer service person. Keep up the great work uou do :) 😀
