What a total waste of time and money
What a total waste of time and money. Buyback boss promises "no bait and switch" but that is exactly what they do! I sent my iPhone to them in perfect condition. I was the original owner and used it up until the day I sent them the phone. They tell me it is "blacklisted" and was reported lost/stolen. Absolute lie. They also said it had several scratches which it did not and had to requote the price. I had them send my phone back and of course they kept the original box that I sent it to them in. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I am very sorry that we upset you as that was not our intent. To clarify our findings, I have sent you through email a few of our IMEI reports for reference as to why we labeled your device as blacklisted.
For all devices, we check the carrier and IMEI status on SickW, Swappa's IMEI check, and the carrier specific as well. While we found that your device is only considered carrier locked to Spectrum mobile on SickW, we found that Spectrum is not marking the device as compatible on their website. With the device being locked to Spectrum but not compatible for activation with the network, it is our policy to mark a device as "blacklisted" because it cannot be activated by another carrier. It is not necessarily because the device is lost/stolen but could just be due to a misunderstanding by the network. Are you interested in contacting Spectrum to see if they can provide more information about the blocked status?
We did return the device to you at your request which we were happy to do free of charge.

Said my offer would be a certain amount, sent the device in, then the tried to offer me a fraction of the original offer. When I called them out for it they raised their offer by 100% but still a fraction. This is definition of scammy and not transparent. I would never recommend them! The worst!!!!

Buyback Boss was a great experience for me! Admittedly, I was nervous to send valuable devices in the mail based on an estimate that I thought could be a bait and switch situation, but that was not the case at all. I described my devices honestly, and after Buyback Boss received and inspected them, they actually increased the amount they paid me. That is incredible integrity on their end, because they were under no obligation to do that. If you have devices to sell, definitely consider Buyback Boss, it was a very good experience for me.
