First time I used in two different shops Farmfoods and Asda. Card shows 4% base reward for Farmfoods and 3% for Asda when shopping in stores. But at the summary after purchase it shows 0% rate, cashback status paid 0, earnings 0. So I guess no more rewards from these shops and I guess from others as well. At first it showed pending, but now cashback status paid, but unfortunately it is 0 pounds.....

Set up was a faff. I stopped partway through because I didn’t have the requested information to hand. However my card was still sent out so clearly the information was not actually required. Because I had only been partway through I hadn’t checked my inputs and my name was mistyped. I now have a card I can’t use. Not sure exactly when so have said 15/10 which will be close enough.

So key items would love to see improved - this never works for shops in Airports / train stations. M&S, Nero etc. the amount of time i have to change cards. This is my primary use . Can we go digitial - my average purchase is my lunch so Digi Card would be so much better .

Please support adding the card to Apple Pay!
Otherwise decent

Great idea, but does not work consistently, so you have to have money to pay for things on both your byond and another card for when the byond doesn't work (been declined when there is confirmed balance on card in Sainsbury's, Asda and VUE in the last month).

App is really glitchy, keeps chucking me out. Would be helpful to be able to add to apple pay.

I dislike that you charge me if I haven't used the card in a while. Why do you do this ? There are surely no costs to you. It's nice to accumulate money for Christmas.

The concept and idea is good, the app has its flawes.
The biggest issue for me is the card not working when I go to pay for things, a few retailers near me like my local morrisons and local tesco express I've not been able to get it to work at all. Other retailers vary and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I estimate I loose about £4- £5 cash back per month by it not working, but equally I'm getting about £10 a month from when it does work.
Considering you have to pay for the card, this does annoy me quite a bit.
The only other issue is I've recently got my partner a card, linked to my account. I used the option in app to request a partner card. It didn't say there was a cost but £5 was taken off my balance to pay for the card.
I don't really have an issue with paying for the card as such, my issue is it was not clear and I didn't even know I would pay for the card until the money was taken. For me this just seems quite dodgy.

I have been using this now for a few years as part of my benefit package, just use against the one retailer which helps with my weekly supermarket spend. Only 1 negative would be that when you get a new card you get another new pin, aware you can change back but would prefer if it was like your bank card and this stayed the same.

My card always declines at one particular retailer. making it inconvenient if Ive topped the card up for a specific purchase. works great everywhere else and I have managed to earn some good cashback

The savings you can make using the card are on average with other providers in the market. The user experience is not great, app is basic, can’t add the card to digital wallets, partner cards are not automatically renewed. Recent contact with customer service team was very poor and gave up in the end as just went round in circles.

I like using the app and the concept of byond. However it needs more retailers for it to be truly beneficial. I tend do the a lot of online shopping, so more primarily UK businesses would be great. Even if a discount can't be applied, it would still be great to use on other websites even if there isn't any moneyback

We like using the byond card with the cash back, however recently I experienced my card being declined twice in the same shop. The store is on the list for cashback. So I missed out on cash back rewards. When querying this I was told a new card would be sent out, but this is taking a while to arrive. My partner card has expired, but no replacement will be sent out. I have to go onto the app to request a replacement card after mine eventually arrives. My partner uses their card regularly at one store, so multiple cash opportunities will be missed. Not impressed. Bank cards get sent out automatically without requesting the partner card, so why doI have to request a partner card

I’m fed up of not being able to use this card on Apple Pay. I tend to go out with just my phone and I’ve lost out on discounts so many times because I don’t have the physical card with me. It’s so frustrating.

The cashback used to be higher % when I 1st signed up to the Byond card, now I can usually get a higher cashback % from my bank, I always double check which card is better to use.
Sometimes I top the Byond card up and then try and use it at a shop on the list but it declines at the till, Byonds excuse is that it is up to the store to sort at their side .... so i end up paying double (cash stuck on the byond card that i now have to spend elsewhere)

App is poor if you are a 2 people (ie mum and dad) want to both use it and top up independently.
Also the card is more in Apple/ Google wallet. This would a really easy addition.
Rest is good and we really like the savings

It’s a great way to save money. I wish the opportunity was opened up to further stores. But otherwise a great money saying tool. Thank you
