Awful, awful customer service. They have misleading information on their website and cannot return what I bought to the store they have listed on their own website? this store should be banned. Stay away, people! not worth your money or time. Now I have to pay shipping for 2 pair of shoes that did not fit and need to return by mail.
This expensive needs to be more durable
Extremely comfortable but unfortunately just not durable, holes in a pair that cost €140 after five months, a pity as I loved them otherwise

I wouldn't even know how to begin. I am so frustrated. We don't expect to be treated like a king walking into a store but I hope that they would at least wouldn't chase you out to continue yelling at you.
Mind you its customer service, the customer isn't always right but in no way should you be yelling at a customer OR STARTING AN ARGUMENT WITH THEM.
My parents wanted to buy some shoes. The employee overheard their conversation and then made the wrong assumption and proceeded to yell at them. Saying if its ugly you don't need to buy it.

when I called to get the name of the employee I was told that they would not give me any personal information. I couldn't even get the name of the person on the phone. They said why? They were rude off the bat. I wanted to know who I was speaking to. I didn't know that people were so rude on the phone to begin with. I was courteous to start but less and less so as the conversation went on. It wasn't even the person that I had a complaint against. They told me you can complain and give a description and they will figure it out. What type of customer service is this? Rude beyond belief and then also said that I was rude. I asked do you not wear name tags? Wouldn't you want to be called by name or should I call you person. They told me I could call them ma'am.
Wow. Just wow.
No point in going to this store. A simple apology would've been nice to hear.

I'm writing for customers to be aware of Ecco's policies. I have been trying to reach someone at Customer Service for weeks and have mainly received generic content emails telling me about their return policies. The email says returns are processed and refunded in 2-4 weeks. A MONTH to see your money back?? Worst of all, 2 of the pairs they sent me were damaged and had some sticky, white stuff all over the sole that was unwashable. I sent everything back pretty promptly and it was received back at Ecco Jan 5. I've been fighting ever since to get an answer or more importantly a refund. This really amounts to fraud at this point when no one is responding at the company so I can't escalate anything. Also they're keeping all the money while not answering so before I get my credit card merchant involved, I truly have no idea if and when they plan on giving customers back their money. Very shady and please save yourself the trouble!

Return took more than 4 weeks after receiveing the returned items but the refund not proceased yet. Will never order again from them. I have been regular customer more than 12 years and have at least four pair of shoes every year

This company takes a very long time to process refunds; they say 2 to 4 weeks once they have received the item. Not a competitive refund policy and I won’t order online again from Ecco. You got your shoes back now give my money back!!! The customer service is nonexistent. There is never a functioning chat service nor a phone number so you can only email. Not happy.

Dealing with ECCO has been a total mess! No phone number and online chat, just this online comment that's not helpful at all! I placed an order, and by one month, there was still no update. Sent emails and comments, but no one seems to care or respond.
After a month, they send me the wrong shoe and cancel another one! Where's my refund? Nobody knows, and it's frustrating to send a ton of emails with no action.
Poor quality.
The seem on the front these shoes says it all. Junk . Junk. Junk
No quality shoe maker would allow this cheap sole to be sold to the public. So disappointing.
I thought this was a good, serious company.
I got a pair of boots that didn't fit and to return them, it says to contact Customer Support to receive a label if one wasn't received.
They insist free returns are only for registered members even though it is nowhere except for 1 tiny line in the shopping cart, but nowhere in the FAQs, main page or when browsing the site.
They are also refusing to escalate my ticket to a manager.
I've provided links and screenshots but no use.
Columbia is very clear on the cost to return something and provides all the info required. Why can't ECCO do the same?

The quality in 2023 is not what it was…
The quality in 2023 is not what it was a few years back. Will no longer be a costumer of these shoes. The prices are still high as when they made a good product but the quality is terrible. The leather exterior looks like synthetic material, the interior of the shoes seems to be made of inferior quality textiles as well, they don’t even smell like quality. It takes a long time to build up a brand but it will take a very short time to lose trust and loyal costumers by an attempt to increase profits at all costs.

I’ve had two pairs of Ecco soles…
I’ve had two pairs of Ecco soles disintegrate. Walking boots which they eventually gave me a voucher for. That is not something regularly worn unless you are a keen walker. They were old but under UK law if there is a known problem warranty is not limited to one year. So anyone seeing this claim under warranty. Second pair of sandals (bought before above) have just collapsed and left debris all around a five star luxury hotel! I have two pairs of their trainers still (one bought with above voucher) but they will be last to be given house room
Disintegrating soles, poor quality
The bottom of the Ecco shoes started disintegrating while I was walking. They were not inexpensive, but obviously of poor quality materials!

Ecco customer service disgrace ,contacted there head office by email was told to go to where bought footwear,so did this morning first lady I dealt with in store said she had seen this on these ecco shoes and would replace them there and then,then she went up stairs and this man appeared said no way offered me 50% credit ,said was all my fault these shoes were like they were soles cracked and uppers coming away from soles which he then told was I cut them some how,now for ecco shoe 6 months old that wasn't worn everyday to fall apart like this unreal ,so anybody going deal with ecco in shop street in galwaya I suggest stay away as for customer rights and 12 month warrenty you can for get it,this gentlemen proceeded to tell me he was over ecco ireland which I don't believe, so we will see how he gets on with ecco headquarters and and also legal route I will now take all because of his ignorance ,so if anybody decides to shop in ecco shop street galway forget about warrenty you will be fobbed off

Low quality poor durability and expensive
Consider how much ecco shoes cost, their product quality is extremely bad. I have a pair of loafer, and after wearing for less than 10 times, normal use, the side strips came off, unrevealing the poor construction of the shoe. I reached out to Ecco for assistance and so far have not received any feedback. My no name made cheap shoes last much longer than Ecco shoes.
Poor quality soles
The soles of Ecco sandals are not designed to last, made of plastic, which disintegrates after a few years. What a shame they aren't made of rubber so they can be used for longer. Will not buy these again.

The shoes were quite expensive but the quality...
In one year the sole cracked in half, as well as the glued parts were falling out and I had a couple of holes. They weren't even suitable for a repair. I threw them away in about 11.5 months after the purchase time.
Will never buy again.
