I took photos

I took photos of the unhygienic, filthy dishwasher stained cutlery at The Designer Outlet branch and was appalled. Not good enough and I hope that the team at head office requests the photos.

Cafe Nero fails to deliver ,- LMFAO

Cafe Nero doesn't even have the ingredients to fulfill its Christmas Promotion

Experience- High Holborn - the staff were not even awake or functioning enough to realise they had no cream for their hot chocolate Promotion.

Cafe Nero put out these Promotions but fail to realise they'd need the ingredients to deliver

Cafe Nero take your money and give you a substandard product - not what was ordered or promised or promoted.

Met with an F/U from Cafe Nero staff - " You don't want it?"

Hastings Cafe was not cleaned debris…

Hastings Cafe was not cleaned debris everywhere., The toilets were filthy at 09.15 in the morning.
They obviously haven't got a cleaner. From the amount of dust build up they haven't had one for quite a while .
Won't be going there again.
Poor show for a well known brand

Filth in Caffe Nero in Headington.

Went into Caffe Nero in Headington today.
Filthy Filthy Filthy
Walked out and went ELSEWHERE that was beautifully clean just doors away.
The Wc was filthy, the floor was wet, no toilet paper, sanitary bin was overflowing. The windowsil in house was dirty (very large windowsil here too). The food worktops behind bar were dirty with spills all over them. I sat at a table that had spills all over it and paper residue from a sache stuck into the spills. the seats soft furnishings were dusty and dirty.
All in all Ibring myself to eat or drink in such a pigs sty so walked out.
I feel that such a place wouldn't or shouldn't pass a food hygeine inspection.
DISCUSTING

Music too loud

Other than the volume of the music I really like Caffè Nero. I think it depends which manager is on as to how loud it is but in general the volume setting makes the music very much foreground rather than background. It is highly irritating! That said maybe some people enjoy it. It makes having a conversation difficult though.
It is so lovely when the music is truly background - for gentle ambience rather than it being forced upon you especially if it is a piece of music you don't like.

When the music is loud, people start having to talk louder to be heard and it gets noisy at busy times.

** 14th Dec and someone had turned down the volume - could hear the music but it was so much more pleasant ! Thank you to whichever manager was on today !

Damaging the cafe Nero brand and getting paid!

Today at 5.35pm I visited the cafe Nero at copper gate in York. What a truly shocking experience from the 2 barista’s on duty . I say on duty one female, dark hair, early twenties , nose piercing strolled passed me in the queue to then stand right next to the entrance and vape heavily which all came in to where I was queuing. The one barista left to handle the queue was the rudest, most arrogant, and
obnoxious person I’ve ever encountered in hospitality. The male was early 20s dark hair nose piercing, and very scruffily dressed his clothing was disgusting and dirty not fit for purpose. I also have to add the female after vaping came behind the counter and started sorting through various items didn’t even clean her hands. I asked if i could get a cappuccino to take away as I was going to miss my train this was met with such hostility. rudeness, he was totally disrespectful and I was made to feel humiliated When I paid the female she quoted the cost, accepted my money and gave me the change with no verbal response which I found totally unacceptable. I asked for her name but the male who was making my drink rudely said we don’t have to give you our names whilst he was looking up at the ceiling. I was made to feel totally humiliated, and very uncomfortable. The lady who was also waiting in front of me said how rude the two baristas were and that she also would be complaining to the company. These 2 individuals are so damaging the cafe Nero brand. I work all over the country for a highly regarded high street retailer, resulting in me being a regular, and also loyal cafe Nero customer . Please resolve this disaster of a branch in such a beautiful city. I certainly will not be visiting this branch ever again.

Terrible App Service

The coffee is good in the cafe, however, the 1 star (I want to give negative star) is given to the app service provider.
Something wrong in my app and I have deleted my account. However, when I asked them for getting my offers back in the app, they have never replied my email for almost a month even I have asked them for several times in this month.
I want to re-register my account, nevertheless, it blocks me from doing that every single time. I have never experienced such terrible service before.

Woefully slow

Tired of going to Nero as they never have enough staff. In Lakeside today. Very long queue with two staff members working and another on his phone. Took 15 minutes to get coffee. The one in Billericay is always the same. Thankfully the one in Brentwood is well staffed and efficient.

Avoid Worthing Caffè Nero

Worthing Caffè Nero. I was last here in 2012 and the place looks like it’s not been cleaned since then. Upstairs was filthy and depressing. Smashed glass windows taped up, rusted window frames stains on walls in the stairwell. Generally filthy and to top it off a dirty cup. Avoid.

So surprised and disappointed. This branch needs to go to Ashford outlet and take a look around the Nero’s there. Come on Nero’s. WTF is going on.

Cafe Nero at the top of tates avenue - a girl that was working there last night was absolutely luvly, her customer service skills are absolutely brilliant and the rest of the staff are very good at their jobs too including the manager who is very pleasant, it’s definitely the best Cafe Nero. The coffee is really really nice, a really good cafe

The bun with cream was dry and the cream tasted old. When I tried to complain I got declined a new one because he was not the one making them. Never gonna set my foot inside that place anymore. Worst service ever. Even the pistachio latte tasted just water!

Gone downhill....

Caffe Nero used to be our 'go to' for a decent cup of coffee (hot chocolate for the good lady) and a light lunch or pastry. Since our last visit it has gone the way of many other branches as written about on here. tables with dirty crockery left on them, not wiped clean.
The good lady also visited the toilets which were very dirty too. And why do you always have to ask the staff for a paper napkin? Instead of employing small children they need to employ an older person with catering experience to manage the place!
We certainly won't be going there again.....

Terrible service no response to email in 3+ months

Terrible service. Ignored by customer service about a simple question ‘are pets allowed on furniture or not’. 3+ months and still no answer.

Account deleted, I won’t go to a place where animals are allowed to rub their backside all over seats and tables, as I’ve seen.

Where the Hot Chocolate isn't Hot

York Monks Cross, well on Friday 8 November 24 was serving probably when it shouldnt have been. The Hot Chocolate I chose was the Millionaire and cost nearly £5 served in the paper cup because there were no regular indoor cups left. This was fine because there were no seats left. Now I happen to normally watch Barrista's whilst making my drinks. I like to receive an order that is commensurate with what I pay for. On this occasion I was asked if I wanted the cream. I would not have ordered the Millionaire drink if I hadnt wanted the decadent taste of chocolate cream or the toppings clearly on display. It appears I got neither. I do offer allowances, in this case paper cup and cap. So I didnt notice anything out of the ordinary until we had left the shop expecting what I had paid for when I was extremely disappointed. The Hot Chocolate was tepid. Not even warm. It clearly did not have the Millionaire factor. Far from it. I paid nearly £5 for a drink that I was extremely unhappy about. Unluckily for me Im Disabled and could not have returned as I was in extreme pain. Would I chance going to Caffe Nero again. Dont unless you watch them like a hawk and taste the beverage before leaving the store and taking them to task if there is a problem with your order

Every week for ten years. Never seen me before.

Have been going to Caffe Nero in Newcastle every week for ten years (at least). I get the same drink every week. It’s been customised over the years but that was encouraged by the staff- to get a drink I could only get in Nero. Served in a small Milano glass which you can only get in Nero. I get it in the Hexham store too- when I walk in they offer straight away as my usual. I pass 5 coffee shops to get to SMP Nero.

Today the server refused to serve me the drink that I always order. This server has served me it before but when I mentioned that I was told they’d “never seen me before”. Ten years, every week- never seen me before. I went through a period on maternity leave where I went in every day. And I made a point of still going in every week even though I’m not in Newcastle as regularly as I used to be. Just awful and to be honest quite upsetting- this was my little hideout when I needed to get away from the office. But alas I’ll never set foot in that place again.
