Disappointed
Come on train your staff.
No idea how to make a hot flat latte. Took it back and got a scolding flat watery one instead.

Once a week I make a point of visiting Cafe Nero at Charing X Road just before Shaftesbury Avenue at least once a week. Its basement replete with leather sofas and easy chairs makes it so welcome and warm, like a home from home. And a special mention for the staff who are the best you’ll find anywhere (special shoutout too for Ricardo!).
Simply tasty coffee
Simply tasty coffee. And also I usually take one of those coockies
Absolute ripoff prices for coffee
Absolute ripoff prices for coffee. Many Artisan coffee shops have better coffees at cheaper rates. Why are they not being SHUT DOWN!!!!
Good coffee, tired stores, flaky app
I go to lots of different branches, and find the service, food and coffee pretty good. The chain is let down by two things - most of the stores look a bit tired and like they could do with a deep clean. Some can get very busy but you then find it's caused by people using them as a home office, making one coffee last three hours.
The other slight negative is the app, which seems fairly flaky, particularly if you're combining different forms of payment for the same bill e.g. two different gift cards, or one gift card and one card payment. Support from Teya isn't great if you contact them. I've even had staff members tell me the app is known to be temperamental.
The recent withdrawal of loyalty stamps for customers using a discount code was a bit of a PR disaster, as Nero blamed it on the app which should "never have given the stamps in the first place" apparently.

My coffee cost over 4f but half my cup is milk fluff. Many time returns to the barister but its look the are learning like that. Its not 1f coffee we paying almost 5f so I respect to have full cup of coffe and milk not half cups of milk fluff
Lovely coffee and food but not enough comfy seating
I really like Nero’s but West Wickham and Oxted stores haven’t got enough comfy seating! Sitting in the gloom of the back under the cold air conditioning unit isn’t the best experience to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Love their mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini’s though 😊💜

I go into Cafe Nero in High Holborn London where I am served by Mira or a young Asian guy (I don’t know his name)
They are so friendly and welcoming. They remember my choice of drink ( Frappe mocha) every time and always have smiles on their faces. They are a great credit to your company so I thought I would share this with you. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for them both
Cafe Nero - Stourbridge, West Midlands
Visit cafe Nero Stourbridge, West Midlands on Saturday 28/9/24 - I am a regular visitor here excellent friendly and helpful staff, great coffee and a great atmosphere. Relaxing atmosphere staff leave you alone and get on with what you are doing. Family friendly.
Terrible service
House of Fraser Belfast. Terrible service…this was night staff that clearly didn’t care.. slow and grumpy… terrible …19:30 26/9/24 won’t be back.
Greedy, customer-alienating corporation
Caffe Nero have now removed loyalty stamps from the purchase of drinks using any type of discount code or voucher. The only reason any of their customers would need to seek a discount in the first place is due to their exorbitantly priced drinks, even charging for a fourth shot of coffee, which would otherwise be thrown away. And now the customer is being penalised for so doing with loyalty stamps being removed.
The mean-spiritedness and money-grabbing nature of this chain is increasing in line with its corporatised culture.
Nice coffee, bad loyalty programme and customer service
The cafes are fine - most are a little tired but the baristas work hard with what theyve got. They have a loyalty app replacing their paper based card, sadly the app and customer service from Teya are a joke. I haven't been able to set it up - due to some technical issue which tells me to contact customer service.
So far I've emailed in 3 times (they have no telephone number) and apart from a short 'were so busy message, I haven't had a response - that was nearly 2 weeks ago.
I've got free coffee and vouchers that I simply cant enjoy.
Astonishingly poor customer service.
Astonishingly poor customer service.
I had a £20 gift card that didn’t work so the customer support just told me to bin it, as if that would solve the problem. Then they ignored all of my follow-up messages.
Beeston Nottingham bald barrista
Unpleasant and uncomfortable experience visiting the BEESTON cafe nero in NOTTINGHAM. The middle aged bald man with piercings and glasses is very rude and racist. He definitely speaks down to you if you are asian or chinese and treats the white customers differently. I've heard him yell at a group of Chinese people who sat down while the drinks were being made yet he couldn't do enough for some difficult white customers. Seen this on numerous occasions. He criticuses your order embarrassing you infront of the other customers. Nasty piece of work. We don’t need his opinion. He's paid to prepare drinks. Shameful of such a big coffee chain to employ people like this. Tbh there are a couple of other barristas who give off the same message at this store. You need to read the Google reviews as this man is mentioned repeatedly. I stopped going to this coffee shop months ago because of this man. I went back today and was met by the same terrible attitude.

Just wanted to say the staff at the ilkley cafe Nero are always nice usually just pick up a takeaway coffee sat in today and noticed how bad it was please please can this place be deep cleaned and refurbished. It’s so grimy and the toilets are absolutely awful. I’m sure even the staff would appreciate it if the place had a makeover so they could have a sense of pride in their cafe. It needs a professional deep clean.

Gave me a free coffee when my card wasn’t accepted ( I tried to pay three times )
That made me happy .. cheers
Disgraceful approach to allergies! Not taken seriously
I have frequented Neros over many years on the horsefair branch and never have i been treated so disgracefully.
We ordered a vegan pastry slice fir my 4 year old daughter who has a serious allergy to dairy. I asked twice to be sure, that i had been served the correct item and that it was vegan and was told yes if course it is.
I got back to my car and gave it straight to my daughter but she said it smekt strange it was only when i got home that i realised that it was definitely not vegan. It is extremely lucky for Nero that she only had a corner of the pastry. Had she eaten it we would probably be tellimg a different story. To make things worse we returned to the shop the following day to ask why we had been served carelessly and the kids behind the counter thought it was funny.
I spoke to a young girl who could not care less about their negligence and there was no sign of an apology our caring attitude towards my daughter or us as customers.
We werent even able to get our money back on the item
Nero need some very serious staff training, its only a matter if time before they kill someone who has serious allergies. I wont be going bsck EVER
Absolutely Joke!
Heathrow airport...arrivals.
After overnight flight...ordered hot chocolate which was ok, as find their coffee a bit bitter. Also ordered a toasted teacake.... which I then had to be asked to be toasted (clue in the name?) & was then given 1 small butter pat. When I asked for another I was told it was an extra 20 pence!! I have never only ever been given one butter before, let alone charged for an extra one..... was going to buy another drink...... I think not now. Very poor.
The entire store was disgusting…
The entire Shrewsbury store was disgustingly filthy.
The floor had obviously not been cleaned in days, if not weeks. The toilets were evern worse, absolutely filthy and, even well before noon, there was no soap in the dispenser.
My Italian Creme Cake was OK. Except for some bits of black dust on it.
Lovely coffee in Fitzroy Street…
Lovely coffee in Fitzroy Street Cambridge. I arrived at a busy time, but the two chaps behind the counter were working together efficiently to deal. Good communication between them and with customers, especially given the tiny space they had to work in. Prompt service, despite the number of orders they were taking. Fuss free use of my app to pay. Lovely coffee and a really good atmosphere inside. Quieter upstairs. Very relaxing.
