Ordered a cake for my daughters 13th…
Ordered a cake for my daughters 13th birthday. As lost my job and could use Clearpay to pay. It came battered by the delivery company. I immediately sent proof of this and was offered a replacement. sent next day delivery so I would get following day which was my daughters birthday. No cake received. I messaged a few times to ask for tracking no response to any message.
Gutted that my daughter didn’t have a cake for her birthday.
Thank you for issuing refund and explaining the situation.
Cakes are amazing as I’ve ordered cupcakes from you a few times without any issues and will still order in future.
I may ask for it to be delivered 2 days before so there’s time to solve any issues with delivery.
I have also edited my rating as Andrew was not at fault.

Really sorry to read this review. I did in fact make and ship a replacement cake as offered and can see its been held at the delivery depot. I can't get a answer from the shipping partner due to the bank holiday but have emailed for a update. I have since issued a full refund. I am sorry you didn't get a reply yesterday i was working all day on a markers market and didn't have access to work emails or chat.

Great cake and very good customer…
Great cake and very good customer service. The only thing I have marked down for is the polystyrene box it comes in. Very bad for the environment and the polystyrene microplastics got all over the cake when we opened it. If different packaging in the future we would order from here the whole time as the cake quality and customer care is great, but while they use polystyrene boxes we won't be ordering again. Thank you!

Really sorry to read this. We are always working to find options for packaging that are more eco friendly, But the current offering just doesn't work for a cake. We have in recent times removed all branded printing on boxes, Changed our loose fill, reduced the printed marketing/packaging sheets and reduced box sizes to help towards being more eco friendly. We will continue to try find alternatives and try get better.

Need to address delivery issues
The cakes are really nice but I keep having a bad experience with the delivery. The last time I ordered the delivery was late so this time I ordered a day earlier but they delivered a day earlier so effectively we had at least two day old cakes so obviously the quality was not the best. Will try another company next time.

Really sorry our free delivery has been that bad its caused you to give us a 1 star review. I have taken a look at both your orders and your first order was delivered at 1:54pm which is early considering we offer free delivery between 9-6pm daily and don't offer time specific deliveries? On your second order I sent a email requesting early delivery due to reason outside of our control and never had a reply, we followed through with the early delivery instead of us cancelling your order. All cakes are baked and decorated the day of delivery and have a shelf life of 7/10 days, this is why we send all cupcakes in individual plastic pods to maintain freshness so your items should have been ok? You could and always can drop us a email with any issues to give us a chance to resolve them first.

I took a gamble and ordered a birthday cake online. It came on time, well packaged and intact!
It looked amazing and tasted amazing. There were so many compliments. I would 100% order from here again.

Horrendous company
Ordered a cake (£90) and it did arrive on time even though my emails were not replied to in the 4 days prior to delivery. The cake entire cake had been completely destroyed in transit. I emailed customer service with a picture of the destroyed cake they said they would refund the money straightaway. I then started looking for a replacement cake when the owner called me and promised to get a fresh cake delivered to me by next day delivery. I thought this was great. I then cancelled this replacement cake I was looking for, with the confidence that Cakes By Andrew would follow through on their promise.
No new cake has been delivered, no refund issued, no contact. Nothing. Do no order from these people
(Edit: this review was accurate at the time of posting, despite what CakesByAndrew have now claimed in their response. I have received an email notification that a refund has been issued, however the £90 has yet to reach my account.)

Ordered some bakes on 29th April and still not received them.Had a call on Tuesday 2nd May to say they would be here by Thursday and still not received them.Its such a shame as they were treats for my family.

Excellent cake and delivery arrived on time
Excellent cake and delivery arrived on the day it was scheduled. The only reason I have given you 4 stars and not 5, is because I did not get any delivery and tracking information. I did email and send a message on FaceBook to try to get some tracking information, however I did not get any communication back. This left me very worried (as when I tried calling, the number was 'temporarily unavailable') but rest assured, my cake did arrive on the day it was supposed to and enjoyed by everyone. If I had some communication back, it would have saved me unnecessary worry.

What a beautiful cake- and by far the…
What a beautiful cake- and by far the most delicious which I have ordered. The cake to a bit of a battering in the post, with some of the icing decorations shaken off, but considering it arrived by post it arrived in amazing condition. Managed to salvage it with resticking with a touch of water. And a few additional cake toppings to hide more obvious areas of transport damage.
So many compliments from the guests and a very happy birthday girl indeed. Will be using this company again.

Once our cakes leave the bakery they are in the hands of the courier, despite our best efforts to reduce the risk of damage (Fragile stickers, this way up labels etc) it can occasionally happen.

Did not deliver on time - which is important for a birthday! - despite advertising next day delivery.
I placed the order 3 days before.
I received notification that the order was on its way, and then nothing until this request for review.
I don't think I'll use this company again.
