Do not deal with Andrew, he's toxic
This has been one of the worst experiences in dealing with any consumer-facing business in England. The owner of this company, Andrew, who has just slammed the phone down on me, is rude, and belligerent and shouldn't be trusted to supply food of any type to anyone in this country.
The reason I was calling him was that he insisted that my wife take down her own review that detailed the fact that the cake he supplied us for a 10-year-olds birthday party endangered the lives of many people at that party.
Whilst he was correct that my wife wasn't able to clearly detail on her order the fact that there were allergies to nuts at this children's party, when I suggested that his wording was not satisfactory, he told me that his website platform was not flexible enough to do it properly.
When asked why the cake he supplied was advertised with no nuts, and came with hazelnuts thickly spread throughout the icing causing multiple people to need treatment, he suggested it was our fault as his kitchen is way too small to handle separating nuts in a common environment and that we should have made it clearer despite us asking him to remove elements that contained nuts.
Overall, despite the fact that the situation was ambiguous, it is Andrew's attitude and complete disregard for the outcome and lack of remorse at the situation that his careless baking has caused.
He is not a man to be dealt with as when I tried to discuss this with him, and my wife did in fact remove the poor review as he had requested, he also refused to refund the cake that ended up in the dustbin where it belonged.
He also threatened to sue me for defamation of character if I wrote the truth in this review, so quick to want to incur the cost of litigation and so naive to think that he could afford such a step. Maybe he's related to Coleen Rooney !!
I guess I'll see him in court, may Cakegate begin!
Meanwhile, I fully recommend you use anyone else you can to supply your cakes to ensure your children's birthday party doesn't end up covered in vomit.

I have checked this order and it appears the disclaimer for allergies was selected 'DISCLAIMER: I confirm that the receiver of the above products has no allergies. I have read the ingredients, dietary and allergen information on each product and would like to proceed with my order.'
I have also checked the webchat and the request to 'leave off the Daim bars' was adhered to and followed up by the staff in the bakery, however this chat did not make any reference that this request was due to an allergy. Having reviewed this information it is clear that the CBA team were not made aware of any allergies by the customer.

I was told day of delivery the inside of my cake that I chose wasn’t possible due to suppliers. Then my cake was delivered with blue lips. I chose a cake with lilac lips. I arranged my daughter balloons to match the cake, so then I had a cake that didn’t match my balloons

Absolutely delighted I found cakes by Andrew. Will deffo be using again. This was the cheapest vegan cake I could find that was Absolutely stunning and also bigger.
