Embarrassing on my part!
Sunday of all days.
Called for a boiler repair as there was a intermittent beeping sound. Panic!
I assumed faulty part and may have to evacuate.
Below was my dishwasher and the gents that came to “fix” the boiler found an “out of date” monoxide detector behind the dishwasher!!!
Again very embarrassing on my part.
The company itself has been top notch, Tom that I dealt with said the team would be out around 2 hours, a tad late but nothing major.
Very helpful, NOT A SCAM.
Would use again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I understand that when the company quotes £180.00, they kind of forget to tell you about the VAT also. Unless you ask, but overall the company is true to their word. I did not get paid to say this as i want to express how genuine they are.

Rang this company Saturday and Sunday of this weekend for my elderly parents who had a fire in their attic which caused loss of electricity. Both times we rang told we would get a call back but received nothing, very disappointed as advertised as 24 hour call-out within 45 minutes, please don’t advertise what you can’t deliver.

Just received your reply I can assure you on Sunday I was not advised to call fire brigade that had all ready been dealt with on the Saturday, I explained to your call handler it was loss of electricity due to fire damage and was advised I would get a call back which I never received.

The service was prompt and efficient. Lee, the plumber, was great, and soon cleared the blocked toilet drain.

Please call a local company we called callout mate due to a emergency leak and we were told a plumber would be with us in 2 hours this was Saturday about 1730 - 1800 then got a call saying no one was turning up till Sunday I called at 0915 on Sunday to check when the plumber would arrive and was told he was on his way he arrived about 11am he is about 15 mins away it’s a local company to us .We should have called them direct but at the time we were in a panic it’s cost us over £200 for a emergency call out who arrived the next day . We were left very disappointed by callout mate.

Very happy with the service I received. Plumber came within time specified and mended my burst pipe. It was a challenging job but he persevered and did a great job.

Very happy with the service i recieved, plumber arrived within the 2 hour slot i was given, sorted and refitted my kitchen taps and got my hot water going again, i will use callout mate again if needed.

Heard a spraying noise under the floor boards in my kitchen! Couldn't see where it was coming from but it was getting louder as time went on! Called and had a plumber on my door step within 40 minutes! Found the leaking pipe which looked like a total bodge job from the previous owner and sorted it all out within 30 mins! Great service from start to end 5* 👍🏻

Very expensive but the plumber stopped the leak in the roof but had to come back the following day to complete the job. Feel a bit ripped off because of the high costs.

This service wasn’t just “slightly” more than a normal plumber. It was exceptionally more!!!

The service from this company is awful. I called and requested an emergency plumber and was told that they should be able to respond within 2 hours and I would receive a call from an engineer when he picked up the job. I didn’t hear and after an hour I checked and was told again that the engineer would call but again didn’t hear from anyone. After 2 1/2 hours I cancelled the job but was still charged £100 cancellation fee. Do not use these people - use a reputable local firm if you can

Amazing service. Had a toilet overflow on Saturday evening and had given up hope of someone being able to help. These guys did the trick and within 70 minutes I was problem free. Great work guys. Would use again and the price I felt was fair given the hour of day.

Gordon the engineer was superb and even said my coffee was the best he has had in ages lol.

Absolutely awful paid £240 and boiler still not working please do not use this company stick to a local name you can trust.

My elderly mum booked a plumber on Saturday morning said be there in 1 hour? Sunday evening still no one and could not give a time when anyone be there staff on phone nice but a very poor service from the company . Mum phoned this morning they are going to refund her but she waited in all weekend with no explanation not a way to run a company ...

Put a screw through a water pipe! Managed to stop leak, rang Callout mate. Had to wait a couple of hours as plumber was stuck at another job, but he arrived not long after 4 pm, fixed the problem, and was great to deal with.

Had an issue with my boiler and couldnt find a gas engineer for an emergency call out, came across Calloutmate and gave them a call. They said they could get a local engineer in my area thats on their books to come out that evening to fix my boiler, I paid the upfront cost of over £200 asking if it covered parts and to be fixed, they replied that 90% of boilers were fixed in the first hour. After a couple hours I had no call from an engineer, I chased them up twice before they found an engineer who gave me a call. He had never dealt with them before and was causious which for me was a saving grace, after talking to him about the fault with my boiler and I told him I had paid to get my boiler fixed I was informed that my boiler would not get fixed tonight and that he was only getting paid for the first hour call out by them which started when he left his front door, which was 40 mins away, he was instructed that any parts and additional labour was to be covered by me. He refused to come out as it was a waste of his time and my money. Me and my wife then spent 2 hours calling Calloutmate back up for a refund as we were not getting the service we were sold, some memebers were rude and kept disconnecting and refusing to answer our calls. One member of staff admitted that the engineer had "balls'd it up for them" as if an engineer had showed up i wouldnt be entiled to anything as they just get an engineer to your door and not to fix the boiler as they said they could do.

I had a blocked sewer drain so I called a plumber to have a look, he explained to me that the drain was owned by Severn Trent so rang them on my behalf and got an appointment booked in for me on the same day, in the mean time before the plumber arrived I was looking for other drainage engineers in my area, I had to put my details in to find out if there were any in my area and found they were too far away, the plumber that came informed me that Severn Trent would ring me with a time when they arrived, instead it was this company, I explained to them that someone from Severn Trent said it was free, he then said no it's £180 or we don't come out, at this point I assumed I was talking to someone from Severn Trent so paid the £220 as it didn't tell me there was Vat on top, an hour or so later Severn Trent came out to do the work, an hour or so after they arrived I got 2 calls for other drainage engineers saying that they was on their way, I explained to them that there was already 2 men here working on the problem assuming that they were also from Severn Trent, it wasn't until later when I looked up the number when I realised that it was this company that had taken my money, I'm still waiting for someone to get back to me for a refund, I'm not holding out much hope as I've seen other reviews where where they couldn't get a refund, clearly the people that work here need to say who they are when they ring up to avoid confusion, I personally wouldn't recommend them as to me they are not professional at all.

i had a leak that i could not solve myself!!! and required me to turn the water off so that meant i was left with no running water with a house full of people i spoke to will at calloutmate and he managed to get someone to me within the hour to solve the issue. amazing service get what you pay for as most people would not even come out at that time.

Spent £180 and detailed the job to callout mate. Was told 1-2 hours. At 7 hours later they turned up. They demanded more money, had the wrong tools to do the job , and left in a huff. Subsequently I have been refused a refund because somewhere in the t's and c's (which I have not had, and are not on the webpage) it says so. Don't touch these people with a barge pole they are aggressive and unpleasant. Also they claim 5* on this website and it is not the case.

Very pleased with the outcome. Not the cheapest but after having tried other numbers with no luck they were quick to answer and get someone booked in. Also provided me with the plumbers direct details for in future so I can go direct to the local lad - would recommend if you’re stuck

Absolutely brilliant service with a short waiting time, needed an emergency plumber and within 2 hours had someone there to do the job couldn’t recommend more

They are expensive, but they did turn up at short notice when I had a leak.

They were the only company in my area that would offer a same day response and they turned up in just over 2 hours.

Credit to Will in the call centre who called me twice to ensure the plumber had made contact.
