1-2-1 support stopped early with no warning or apology
After following the sleep support plan for a month or so we needed some additional support with our little ones nighttime sleep so we purchased 1-2-1 support which was supposed to be 8am-8pm. We had some good tips for her daytime naps and had some of our more logistical queries answered regarding these. However all contact from the consultant stopped at around 5pm when we were struggling to get our little one down for her third nap and we hadn't discussed most of our nighttime queries (the support was supposed to continue until 8pm). We were really disappointed with this given nighttime sleep was our main concern which we voiced during our intro call with the consultant and in the form we filled out beforehand. Two months on and we are still having difficulties so will likely now try another company.
Edit: Calm and Bright have reached out, will update my review further when resolved but I am really happy with their response so far so have updated my review from 2* to 3*.
Further edit: We got further support from Lucy and she was absolutely brilliant! She understood that when we first tried following their plan we really struggled and my little one would cry for 2 hours straight so we didn't want to leave the room whilst she was upset this time around. We did a slow method (a month on and we still don't leave the room straight away but we are completely fine with this), she gave me support with stopping feeding during night wakes etc and our little one has gone from waking up every 2 hours to sleeping through the night 90% of the time (she sometimes wakes when she is ill or randomly at 5am but goes down easily without a feed or much crying)! Something we truly never thought possible. We are so grateful and happy we could do it a gentle way which involved us being there and reassuring our little one when she cried. Thank you!

Thank you thank you thank you!
We’ve used Calm and Bright Sleep Support for my eldest and knew that it was time to use it for our 6 month old. Their plan is so comprehensive and it worked brilliantly. Our son could self settle without us going in on Day 2. This is magic! We’re nearly 2 weeks in and our son sleeps from 6.30-6.30 with just one wake up to breast feed (our choice). If I’ve ever had any questions, they’re quick to respond on Instagram. I can’t thank them enough- they’ve changed our lives twice now! Thank you thank you thank you!
The most caring, supportive sleep coaching
Sal is absolutely wonderful! She gave us so much incredible support and clear, informed advice, as we did the C&B rested baby plan. She is calm, reassuring and really kind. Having her there on Whatsapp gave me the confidence I needed to help my 10 month old baby learn to sleep better, after months of struggling. It's made a phenomenal difference to how we all sleep and function as a family. Can't thank you enough Sal!

I can’t thank C&B enough yet again
I can’t thank C&B enough yet again! After changing my life with my 14 month old a year ago, I knew I wasn’t going to let it get so bad this time around with my third baby. I purchased the updated rested baby plan (and am so glad I did!) I started about a week ago and did a bit of a combination of the scenic route/gentle retreat. On night one we had one wake and a couple of reassurance visits and ever since he has slept ALL NIGHT EVERY NIGHT, including when sharing a room with us and his two brothers on holiday. I am amazed and grateful and relieved all over again and most importantly we are both so much better rested to spend our days together.

Incredible
Hi, I just wanted to thank C&B.
I recently listened to the podcast episode with Gi Fletcher and it has changed my life.
I have been severely depressed, with suicidal and intrusive thoughts… at breaking point with lack of sleep with my now 7 month old.
We had been waking continuously in the night, as soon as being put down - I think due to feeding to sleep and nursing mostly for comfort.
I didn’t know what to do and how to change things to get some sleep for both of us, as I was always so keen to be a ‘responsive’ mother.
The episode with Gi gave me the confidence to try something else, that there could be a better quality of life and parenthood out there.
Literally by the second night our little girl slept 7 hours straight and I am a new woman.
She is also a happier, well rested baby. Thankyou. Thankyou so so so much.

The single best investment you’ll ever make as a parent
I honestly cannot thank C&B enough. Whilst I’d love to say my, almost three year old son was a quick case, he has had several medical issues which have meant his sleep journey hasn’t been simple. However, Gem and the gang have always been there to guide and support us and every time we have used their method, his sleep has infinitely improved (it’s just sometimes regressed when he’s been poorly or had an operation.) We’ve tried different levels of support depending on how poorly he is and each time they’ve worked really well.
We used the fast track last night after a very long spell of bad sleep following an ear infection and he woke this morning like a different child. Calmer, happier, no pun intended but, brighter. I feel more like myself again and whilst I know I will still have a night or two where he may protest a little, it’s nowhere near as bad as the hours I’ve spent with him waking me up every few hours in our bed or refusing to sleep whilst I’m sat in his room but not sleeping if I’m not there either. He slept more deeply and didn’t wake early for once. Honestly I could not function as a parent without Gem and her team and am so grateful to them for their sustained help. I cannot recommend them enough.

Just incredible. The best plan, the best people.
I cannot properly put into words how wonderful these ladies are. We struggled with sleep teaching initially, absolutely no fault of their plan whatsoever. (The plan is amazing, it works! It REALLY works)
I reached out to them to say I was having some trouble and they reacted so quickly and had matched me up to a senior sleep advisor within hours.
In came Sal… my new favourite person. She was incredible, not only the nicest person I’ve ever spoken to but also the most patient and reassuring voice at the end of the phone. Or as she put it ‘a little friend in your pocket when you need her’.
I would recommend the calm and bright platform and people to anyone who wants to change their little one and their families sleep. Our lives have improved beyond belief. By night 2 (night 2!!!) our boy was sleeping 7 hour stretches, until that point we were up every 2 hours with him.
This plan is a game changer, just trust it and it’ll work 🫶

Game changer, wish we’d done it sooner!
We did the sleep teaching back in Feb and it has honestly been a game changer! From our little one sleeping on us in a chair all of Jan (17 months at the time) to suddenly sleeping in her cot all night and settling herself! Really wish we’d done it sooner!
She’s had a few illnesses since Feb and at one point spent 4 nights sleeping in our arms again. I was getting anxious that she wouldn’t go back in her cot and we’d have to sleep teach again. But we put her down and she settled herself 🙌🏻
It’s such an amazing feeling to know we can start dinner at 7:30 as she’ll go to bed and settle herself. I can’t thank Eve, Gem and the team enough for the plan and ongoing info and tips on Instagram! 💕

Life savers… we purchased a plan from…
Life savers… we purchased a plan from Calm and Bright after listening to them on Giovanna’s podcast. For background, our baby was really unsettled for the first 4 months, I was walking 5 miles a day just to get him to nap and spent most of the night awake with him screaming In discomfort. Eventually we got to the bottom of his discomfort, he had an egg allergy, I cut egg out of my diet and with 48 hours he was a new baby. However, he had got so used to motion he couldn’t nap without it and would wake every hour still at night. We’d made a lot of progress with a gentle sleep coach, I was no longer needing to nap him in the buggy but the nights and naps were so inconsistent and I was at breaking point. 6 months of sleep deprivation and physical exhaustion I no longer recognised myself. We bought the plan from Calm and Bright and within 2 days we’d gone from 4 wakes a night to 1 feed at night and longer naps. We’re now 6 weeks down the line, he’s sleeping through the night and napping well, I feel alike a new person who’s able to give my son so much more love and attention. And my husband and I can enjoy our evenings together, even more importantly my baby is so much happier! I was worried the approach wasn’t responsive but it was and the plan gave us so much confidence and conviction. Jenson was poorly a couple of weeks ago so I gave him more support and he woke more at night but once he was better we were back on track. Thank you so much Calm and Bright for turning me into the mother I’ve always wanted to be ‘Calm’ and ‘Bright’ not ‘hostile’ and ‘exhausted’. Xxx

Short term results but nothing consistent.
I really like the ladies running Calm and Bright. They are super helpful and understanding and offer so much support.
The method itself hasn’t worked for us in the long run. I don’t know why really, I just think it doesn’t suit our daughter or our family.
We bought a rested baby plan when our daughter was 12 months old because I was at absolute rock bottom with exhaustion. We got very quick but short term results. The main thing that came out of it was that we managed to night wean her off breastfeeding. We had a few weeks of her sleeping well before things backtracked.
After that, we had to repeat the controlled crying intervals several times after illnesses and other things that interrupted sleep, which I was uncomfortable with as I expected not to have to go through it more than once.
More recently, Having tried to return to the controlled crying method after about 6 weeks of multiple night wakes due to separations anxiety, illness, travel and starting nursery, we’ve found that it just does not work at her age, it completely stresses her out and promotes more night wakes than if she is helped to sleep calmly.
So, we now have a 20 month old who can sleep through the night but often does not l, particularly if I (mum) am doing bedtime. She will sleep through if others put her to bed and that may or may not be a result of the C&B plan. However we are still exhausted by the inconsistency of her sleep and working on accepting that this is just how she sleeps for now.
Maybe if we’d used this method when she was younger we could have seen better results. Just something to think about before you try the rested baby plan if your child is that little bit older.

Amazing service and such a helpful team of professionals
I contacted the team on Instagram initially. Everyone was so quick to reply to my messages and questions; they even took the time to voice note in answer to my questions. It was so personable and friendly.
I purchased the plan for my 8 month old who bottle refuses. I had been getting up 2-3 times per night to feed her. Their plan gave me the confidence to drop feeds and leave her longer.
There’s so much information/misinformation out there, it was helpful to get all the info I needed from one, reliable source.
I have been doing the plan for about a week now. I used the fast track method as I really wanted to get back my sleep ASAP. Our baby has been sleeping so much better already and I haven’t had to get out of bed to feed her. It’s such a change in a short period of time.
I’m so thankful for the plan and the support I have had from everyone at calm and bright.
There is also NHS discount which I didn’t know about which makes all the difference.
If in doubt and you’re not sure I would seriously give it a go. You might be surprised at the effects!

Lucy is so down to earth and wonderful…
Lucy is so down to earth and wonderful to have helping you. She helped with early wakes for us. And son is sleeping much better now.
She put me at ease and made me feel confident with sleep. And realise that sometimes they just need a bit of wind down time before going to sleep like us as adults but as long as he's happy it's fine.
So thank you very much.

Thank you Anna & the team - the best thing I ever did!!
I sought the help of calm and bright after being on the brink of a breakdown through lack of sleep with my 4 and a half month old. We were up roughly every hour from three months and with my partner working away leaving me as the sole parent at home it meant there was no rest for me. I was at breaking point when I reached out to calm and bright, I brought their 0-6 month rested baby plan and also a 1-1 support call which after speaking with Anna on the phone changed my parenting journey. Both my partner and I committed to the plan and her advice, he took a week off work to be at home to support me with implementing. We had a lot of tears, both mine and the babies however after a few days there was a vast improvement and now a week and a half has passed and she is sleeping from 7pm - 7am with one night feed at 3am which we do half asleep. She also does 3 solid naps in the day time now with no kickback or protest. I cannot thank calm and bright enough, especially Anna on our support call who was so understanding and none judgmental. If it hadn’t been for the support call I don’t think I would have been able to do the plan successfully and can’t thank her enough. This has changed my journey as a mother and finally now feel like I can enjoy my baby. My baby wakes up happy and rested now, no more daily screaming and fussiness. I am able to parent in the way I always wanted now I feel refreshed rested. Thank you calm and bright.

100% recommend, amazing results
I was so skeptical about sleep training, I worried about the how it would affect my 6 month old baby and whether it would actually work. We were cosleeping, he was waking every 1-2 hours. During the day he would only contact nap (in a dark room with white noise on). We were both constantly exhausted. After reading the reviews for Calm and Bright we decided to try. It has been life changing! Day 1 was tough, there were some tears but I was responsive and felt happy that I was not just leaving my son to cry by himself. We saw results at night immediately - night 1 he settled in a few minutes and slept in his cot all night and only woke once for a feed! Naps improved a bit more gradually but by day 4 he was falling asleep for naps in 5-15 minutes with no tears.
On night 5 my son was ill and we had to stop following the plan and give him more comfort. I was so worried that it would mean we had to restart sleep teaching but it didn’t set us back at all! Night 6 he was feeling better and self settled in his cot.
I had a couple of questions during the sleep teaching process and messaged Calm and Bright. They replied quickly and were always so lovely and helpful.
I 100% recommend this company. They have made such a difference to our lives and made us all so much happier. I am able to be so much more present with my son in the day as I’m not exhausted, he is much happier and I finally have evenings with my husband again. The plan really does work!

Finally we sleep
My little one had been waking every 1-2hours for the whole 12 months of his life. I brought the plan and by the 2nd night he was sleeping through. Life changing . I am now a much happier and present mum and my baby is so much happier now he is getting the rest he needs.

Fantastic experience, 100% recommend
My experience with Calm and Bright was excellent from the start. They were helpful in suggesting which plan I should go with when I initially messaged them on Instagram - I used the Rested Baby Plan, Scenic Route for my 5 month old son, with a 1:1 call before I started. The plan was very informative and easy to understand. All my questions were answered on my call with Sal in a very supportive, understanding and sensitive way. Whilst the first few days were difficult, I felt fully reassured by the tools I had been equipped with through the Instagram videos, the plan and 1:1 call, and additional support was provided within 10 minutes of asking a question on Instagram once I had started. Results came quickly, and on Day 3 Nap 1, my son self settled within 18 minutes. I would absolutely recommend this company to all parents wanting help with sleep teaching. Thank you, Calm and Bright!

Felt like a failure
Didn’t work for us and felt like even more of a failure!
After umming and erring for months whether to buy this plan, we did after saving some money to do it. We really had tried everything so this was the last resort.
We have now tried for a couple of months and our baby is still taking short naps, wakes in the night, and wakes early! We followed their plan to the T and really did throw everything at it to make it work, disappointingly for us, it hasn’t changed or made our baby sleep “11-12” hours a night, like they love to tell you! After this has not worked for us, I now feel like even more of a failure when they love to tell you how it works for ‘everyone’.
I feel like they are brilliant marketers, know how to target exhausted, sleep deprived and depressed mothers and get you to part with your very little maternity pay to sell you a dream! (Pardon the pun - if only it did allow me to dream).
They come across as wanting to support you with your needs at heart but I really do just think they are selling a great marketing ploy. When I contacted them to ask for help, they were very vague with their answers, and then reccommend I buy 1-1 support. It feels like they just want you to buy one more thing, and dangle that carrot in front of you, promising to solve everything each time.
I have not paid for 1-1 support, so maybe that is something which will ‘fix’ us, but I was under the impression that the plan would have done that anyway. So I am not prepared to pay even more money.
I feel like you only hear the success stories from them, but maybe they would be more relatable if they actually gave you REAL life examples of their plan not working, and then what they have done to help that! As at the moment, I just see lots of reels saying how exhausted one mother was, and then she wasn’t two days later - but what about those mothers who are still exhausted? Have you thought about them in your posts Calm & Bright? As at the moment you are contributing to my feelings as being a massive failure.
If you are thinking of buying this plan, it might work for you, but also remember every baby is different, and I do not feel this is addressed in their plan. There is no ‘one size fits all’. It is very much a modified Ferber method, so maybe try that before parting with your hard earned cash.
For context:
My baby is 11 months old. Sleeps in his cot for all naps and night time sleep. Is breast fed and was cosleeping for the first 7 months.
We have a great bedtime routine, good room environment (pitch black, good temp, white noise), he goes to bed well fed, no health concerns. So feel like we’re doing everything we can!
The best £89 ever
The best £89 we’ve spent.
We wasn’t able to start the plan straight away due to my sons eczema not being under control but after holidays we decided to take the plunge and move him to his own room, take away the dummy and work on the resettling and I cant believe how easy it was.
Last night we had our best night and my son slept from 7.20 until 5.48 and resettled himself back to sleep at 6.13 and woke at 7 🙌
Couldn’t recommend the plan enough or how straight forward it is!

I owe you my sanity.
I couldn't have done any sort of sleep training without calm and bright's audiobook and without having paid for their rested baby plan. I really had to feel ready for it as I couldn't handle my baby crying for even 30 seconds.
After 3 nights, at 8month old, he was going from waking every 2 hours, to sleeping from 7pm until 5.30am (he is an early riser... and I'm OK with that.)
Both me and my baby are much nicer to be around now ❤.
Thank you. I owe you my sanity....

Absolutely amazing!!
You ladies have saved me.
We started the rested baby plan - I didn’t dare hope it would work for us like it has for others. But WOW.
By night 2 he slept through the night waking for just one feed (he still needs one feed at night).
By day 3 he was doing minimum 1.5 hour naps in his cot.
Before this, he had never napped in the cot. We were doing contact naps, naps in the car/pram. And we were waking hourly in the night, only able to get him back to sleep by feeding.
I feel like I’m going to get a bit of me back. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
