I love my new calming blanket, I have the original but find it to hot over summer and the open weave blanket is the best. Having the best sleeps, bit hard to get out of bed.

My son loves his Kevin sleep buddy. He minds him very comforting and helps him de-dress. He sleeps with him every night

I have always had trouble sleeping, I would feel anxious, and toss and turn for hours trying to get to sleep. I would also feel hot and toss the blankets off then on again when I got cold. A friend told me about weighted blankets a long time ago, and I decided maybe I should look into them. I really wasn’t sure if they would work, so I started to research into them. It took me three month reading every review good and bad, and checking out every different type of blanket and brand. I finally decided on calming blankets, they gave you a lot of information on the blanket and had so many good reviews. I also sent an email asking for advice on which blanket would suit me and they replied very quickly. They suggested the bamboo blanket would be the coolest blanket for me seeing I sleep hot. I ordered the 6.8 adult bamboo blanket and bamboo cover. It arrived within a few days, and I was very happy with it. It probably only took about two nights for me to get used of the blanket and I had a really deep sleep which I hadn’t had in years. I started out very sceptical about the blankets and now I just love it, it feels so warm and cuddly I don’t want to get out of bed in the morning. The customer service was also fantastic.

This blanket is so hard to keep evenly distributed.
One side gets all the weight during the night and the other side gets just the cover. To manoeuvre this very heavy blanket to try to get the weight evenly distributed does not work. This blanket is to hard to manage and thinking about giving it away.

Great quality product bought a weighted Kevin koala for my sensory seeking daughter. She loves it. Thank you. So much.

the blanket is good but the annoying part is, you need to distribute the weight again whenever the weights of the blanket shift, its better if its fix

My calming blanket is genuinely my favourite thing I own - it makes me feel so comfy, I actually get sleepy when wrapping myself in it. The green colour is beautiful, and the size is perfect! Obsessed with it 😍

The blanket is amazing except that it requires a bit of adjusting inside of the cover. Other than that 10/10 service and blanket.

REVIEW UPDATE

I just wanted to update my prior review for Calming Blankets. My review at the time, was just genuinely just put out there to see if anyone else had experienced this, and potentially getting advice on what to do or how to fix. As per the original review, these blankets are amazing. And we do love them - it really does help you sleep and feel less anxious.

I had no intent to follow up, as it just didn't feel worth it, as overall we use them daily and they legitimately do help with anxiety and to sleep better.

I did not expect expect that Steph would have proactively sought me out when I didn't respond to the message she sent on Trust Pilot. That was hugely unexpected. Not only did Steph go above and beyond to find my details and order; but she was really genuine when saying she wants to make sure we have the best experience. I got an apology and 2 new covers to replace the ones where the ties had broken.

This literally says it all. Calming Blankets are true to their values, and want to ensure every product is to the highest standard - but most importantly they really care about every customer. It's not an FMCG product, so they could easily have just left it as it was by replying to my review to get I touch. As it's not an item you would replace frequently.

In summary - if you are going to buy a weighted blanked, Calming Blankets all the way. BEST customer service I have EVER had - and it wasn't even asked for.

Truly stunned at the how wonderfully they managed this situation - and I will be singing their praises to anyone who will listen :)

It’s a bit tricky to review these. I have 2 (adult 4.5kg and adult 9kg). The blankets are great in they genuinely help with sleep, however with the heavier blanket I use, within a month or two I found the ribbons to secure the blanket broken. Now a year on all of them are never gone. So it just bunches up.I either have to use without a cover (which I don’t like from a hygiene aspect - as would like to wash the covers).

The lighter one is better, but started to break as well over time.

It’s disappointing as they are good. Great quality and does help you sleep. But the company potentially has not thought enough about this design flaw. Either you have to shake it out daily, or forego using the covers. At least that has been my experience.

For mine and my daughters, I now put a flat sheet and don’t use the covers, as it’s just such a pain.

I have raised this complaint several times, but no one has got back to me. Am I the only person who has/is experiencing these issues? Please note I did not make an official complaint just raised it in comments on social. Mostly to get any help or advice from others who have experienced it.

I was not happy at all with the claiming blankets as they were not blankets they were like large pillow cases so I’m not happy with the so called blankets

I absolutely LOVE my calming blanket!!! I always pull it out to watch a program or movie at night time and get snuggled up with a tea or hot chocolate. It is absolute BLISS!

THE BLANKET WAS HELPFUL TO GET ME TO SLEEP BUT DUE TO THE WEIGHT CAUSED MY ARTHRITIC KNEE AND HIP TO PAIN. ONCE THE WEIGHT WAS REMOVED THE PAIN SUBSIDED. IF IT WASNT FOR THIS IT WOULD BE GREAT. BUT HAS BEEN A WASTE OFMY MONEY AS I CANT USE IT DUE TO MY LEG / HIP SORENESS. IF I COULD HAVE A BLNEKT THAT DIDNT AGGRAVAATE MY SRENESS IT WOULD BE GREAT. MAYBE I NEED A LIGHTER ONE

After taking 1 hour to get the 9 kg cover on ( I suffer with COPD)I had to lay down for a hour to recover . But I did have the best nights sleep.

Very good service. The blanket was delayed through no fault of the company and they kept me very well informed. Bought it for my husband and he is delighted with it. It's also good for a workout 😂 if you have a heavy one it's like the ropes in the gym when you're shaking it out!

My daughter absolutely loves the sheets. The joy on her face when she got in for the first time was priceless. She has not woken during the night at all in the last 2 weeks of using them, and previously she would wake at least 4 nights per week. I've been telling all my friends with kids who are challenging sleepers.
Only down side is there is a small hole already but I suspect she was chewing on it.

Bought for my 14 year old son, who loves it. He is a very restless sleeper and this gives him good quality sleep, and stops him thumping into the walls over night. Bamboo cover is ideal for these muggy nights.

My son loves his adult size weighted blanket. Previously he needed to be under 2 heavy doonas plus 2 heavy blankets to get to sleep, now he’s down to just the 6.8 kg weighted blanket and one heavy queen size doona. It took a couple of weeks for him to get used to it, and he’s still not sure if he prefers to the weighted blanket lengthways, so that it covers his whole body, or crossways, so that it only covers his upper body, but it’s definitely an improvement on the previous setup. I purchased it with a bamboo cover, which is super silky to touch, and he says it’s very comfortable. Love the ties inside the cover to hold the blanket in place. I’ll be purchasing a second cover now that we know the blanket is a great success. Shipping was quick and communication from Calming Blankets was excellent. Highly recommend the product and company!

Got it for my girlfriend and she loves it. Although I think this product is a bit too effective. After receiving the blanket my girlfriend has done nothing but sleep. Hence the 4 stars nevertheless it is a solid product and makes a very delightful gift.
