A 1st rate company superb service 100 times better than all the other firms in the City...

- Very comfortable car for my trip at a very good value
- Easy to order, Debbie always had good communication with me and answered all my queries both prior and after I returned my car.
Only slight cons: - the car was not cleaned thoroughly prior to my rental however it was not that bad; -the deposit took a while to come back but it did eventually and Debbie always kept in touch with me.

Do not trust these cowboys, complete rip off if you have a bump. Get charged a fortune for excess they they rip you off with repairs of a month, they are just looking to screw more money out of the situation

I've been hiring regularly from CCVR for a few years now and I've never been disappointed -- they provide truly excellent, personalised service and are always friendly and polite, and I am always made to feel welcome. The cars are fantastic, always clean and in beautiful condition and super reliable. I changed to CCVR after hiring with various other national/international car hire companies and I have never regretted doing so: the service offered by CCVR is much more personal and the cars are in much better condition. Thank you to Martin and Debbie and team for making car hire such a stress-free experience.

This time we had a 3 day car hire from Keith and Sons.

They collected us from March and upon arrival at their yard presented us with a shiny near new Toyota Yaris Hybrid.

No probs doing the paperwork and with payment - all as was pre promised.

Car ran well and did us proud moving around the greater Norfolk area.

On return we were again dropped off at out starting point.

All to easy.....

Rented a car on the 5th of April returned it on the 6th and it is now the 1st of may and have not recieved my deposit bk they say it has been refunded but clearly it hasn’t as no money has come into my bank. Do not use this company they will not return your deposit then will lie and say they have

Excellent value, far cheaper than the multinationals, very pleasant staff, very easy to both pick up and drop off the car. Brand new car with no issues at all. If I need a car again when I visit my brother I will look no further. Highly recommend

Used CCVR to hire a van for a weekend. The process online was very simple and quick.

On picking up the van again the process was very slick. The van was modern and well maintained. The return process was also very easy.

I would definitely use CCVR again and would recommend them.

** Of note they still have a policy where your £100 deposit which is taken on the date of the vehicle hire. Is not returned until ten working days later. Not sure why this is, as other companies like Sixt managed to return it within a couple of days.

Highly recommend this family business and the professional, understanding, warm and friendly service provided. Will certainly hire again if we return to Cambridge to further explore East Anglia or beyond. Long story short - we are expats living in China visiting the UK for the first time in 5 years. Other Car Hire firms (the big boys) promised us much but did not deliver and let us down giving daft reasons. They didn't listen and didn't help. CCVR did and saved our holiday. Hired a good quality car for a month late June to 24th July and this let us have a superb and memorable time ( if we ignore the weather ! ) Thanks Martin and family. You all deserve every success.

CCVR has been my go-to car hire company in Cambridge for the past 15 years or so. Its rental rates are very competitive and I've never had reason to fault the quality of customer service. Wherever possible I try and use local, independent, owner-managed companies - CCVR is a good example of such a company.

'The Best' service from start to finish !
I regularly hire vans to take a RAF display around the country, I have used another hire firm in Cambridge for the last 2 years, my contact left and they were no longer willing to offer me the same rate, despite 12 perfect hires. I emailed/phoned around and CCVR were the only company that were instantly friendly and interested in me as a person, ( not just money ) they cared about my business and were unfaultable with their help ! They could not have done more! The van was exceptional, the hire charge amazing and booking/pick up/drop off just so easy and quick. Dont bother wasting time with all the others, just go straight to CCVR !

I'm giving CCVR five stars because of their fleet of electric vehicles. They're well-located in Cambridge with the cars parked around back at the Tesco superstore. My Renault Zoe EV was 100% charged, delivered in good shape, had low mileage and drove me about 700 miles around East Anglia with no issues charging at the many commercial sites in the area. Competitive prices, too, from what I can tell. Convenient hours. Really excellent staff -- feels like a family business. And if you're compelled to return it with a 100% charge, as they ask, there's a PodPoint charging station at the Tesco where you return your car to the CCVR office. Couldn't be more convenient. If I need to hire a car in Cambridge again I'm definitely coming back to CCVR for another EV.

Awful Rude Unprofessional ! Don’t use this company- independent and untrustworthy! Don’t answer their phones, speak to you like dirt and aren’t worth the hassle. Used Enterprise in the end and paid £6 more for great service and a brand new van that was clean.

This is the third time I have booked with CCVR; as always they were friendly and efficient, unlike their much bigger rivals such as Sixt who manage to combine rapacity and inefficiency.
