I used Canadian nanny to find a… parttime nanny
I used Canadian nanny to find a parttime live out nanny for my 10 month old. One frustrating part in my opinion was how little effort some nannies put into their profiles, but that’s not really the sites fault.
I wonder if there is a way to ensure potential nannies have actually read your profile. Receiving hundreds of “I’m interested in the job” just crowded up my inbox and made the selection process feel more overwhelming. We are after all finding someone to care for our most precious and vulnerable.
Easy to connect with families
Easy to connect with families, safe & I have recieved work of this site. From good family's 👍
Customer service is zero help, won't use this service again
I unposted my job listing thinking this would deactivate my account, however, got charged the following month. Customer service has refused a refund. Although this was my error, their website should specifically let subscribers know that unposting does not deactivate your account. I will not be using this service again as they could have done better at informing subscribers of how to cancel their account.

Great resource!
There were many candidates to choose from and interview. I disagree with the complaint that the site should validate legal ability to work in Canada. That is up to you to verify as the potential employer. Some people want to hire someone from abroad - maybe from their own country so that the kids will learn the language and customs. You have to ask if they are legally eligible to work in Canada - that should be the first question always! and go from there.
We did the background check, including social media and police check. Also, you need to give the new nanny a three month probationary period, just as it is done with any job. Sometimes it takes a few tries. That's life. You want to make sure the kids have the right person caring for them and that you get along with them.
We were very happy with the process and the support received by CanadianNanny.ca. They were responsive, supportive and knowledgeable.
It would be helpful if you could allow us to pull our add after we find a nanny. I do keep getting interested people and I have to respond to let them know that we found someone already. I don't mind paying the rest of the subscription, but it is time consuming because I don't want to be rude and just not respond.

Good system to connect employers with propective nanny candidates.
Needs to improve the system of ensuring that prospective candidates are legally permitted to work. Several interviews were carried out with candidates lacking the legal perogative to work in Canada. I do not wish to engage in unlawful employment.
I found a family to work with
I found a family to work with, so I'm very happy and thankful for the help, the page is friendly, which helps to get closer to families.
The overall process was quick, efficient, and easy
The overall process was quick and efficient.
- when posting the job, their system helps with the write up which is a great very busy parents like me.
- they have specific guidelines for hiring a nanny, for example for conducting interview, reference check, etc. These are great because they helped me feel more confident in my decision.
- they're system takes you to the end. E.g. running a background check and hiring a payroll. It didn't leave me hanging after I found my candidate.
- they have lots of qualified nanny candidates in their system.
If they can also make an app, it'll be amazing. I had to make sure I leave their website open on my phone while doing my nanny search which was fine too. But having an app would be even easier.

I would not recommend to signup for a subscription model. They do not tell you that you are auto enrolled and is not easily able to cancel the subscription. I think we should make a law against this types of subscription model as a lot of customers are badly taken advantage of by it.

Okay website resource
For the price paid for subscription, I have not had success with finding candidates. I received messages from candidates who had not read my job description. Overall, I liked having a list of candidates I could look over but I’m not convinced it was worth the price of subscription.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
After paying their exorbitant subscription fees for over a year, received 2 incompetent, underqualified, rude nannies. Emailed and called them about it and never received any feedback or communication. Tried to cancel and had to jump through some hoops. Overpriced, non existent customer service, incompetent nannies, convoluted cancellation policy and all around terrible company to deal with.

Is very helpful and safe
Is very helpful and safe! Because the site won't allow you easily to see the phone numbers.
#1 Nanny site
Profiles are large enough to include lots of details with pictures as well makes this the best nanny site for matching families and nannies! Also posting the area of town that the families/nannies lives in is very helpful!
Success finding appropriate caregiver
We got our new caregiver for our disabled adult daughter here. She is fabulous.
What wasn't so great was getting many people wanting to nanny my newborn or toddler, which we don't have. My add was clear what our needs were.
We are very thankful for finding us the right person for the job.

Good/bad
I found two Nannies that were very good and worked out very well.
Majority of available Nannies were old listings and never responded. One in 10 never even showed up to work.
The Nannies have not been vetted and in fact one turned out to be negligent and criminally irresponsible . I also found most listings were Nannies who needed sponsorship which is too much of a commitment.
All in all, I found your site quite good as it did work for me with a little due diligence

Good success but could be even better.
Easy to use but it would be nice to have a dashboard where I can see who I reached out to rather than scrolling back through my emails. Also, if I could write notes on those that I have spoken to or emailed with that would also make things better.
They keep spamming me with emails
I deactivated my account, but kept receiving emails. I kept unsubscribing from the emails but to no avail. I then decided to delete the account completely to stop the emails - but I'm still receiving them! And of course it's not possible to contact customer service, cause there is no customer service. Stay far away.

This company a rip off
This company a rip off! Job searchers shouldn't have to join a membership to communicate with employers. Full of employers who pay crap or waste your time by not listing the salary. Lots of scammers posting on this website. Their website is a waste of my money and time. Don't bother paying for membership.
