Many people found the printers unreliable, frequently encountering issues like paper jams, blank pages, or devices stopping working soon after purchase. Customers also faced significant frustration with connectivity problems, including difficulties with WiFi and software compatibility, especially with non-Canon cartridges. Excellent after sale support from Cannon!

I have a Cannon printer TS3350. I had phoned Cannon for help set it up back in 2022, the advisor was absolutely helpful and professional.

Today I have also had another positive experienced when I talked to Malathena of Cannon, who patiently explained things and guided me to reinstall my printer and to print from my phone.
I am so pleased and grateful for this. Thank you.

Non-delivery and awful customer service

A very frustrating and dismissive response to a complaint re. non-delivery of an order. Not a company to business with if you are a professional working to deadlines. They will take your money and then sit on it - in return for nothing. Avoid.

Disappointing Experience with Canon Printer Support

I recently reached out to Canon for help setting up the Canon Print app on my laptop. I had already set it up on my PC, but couldn't find how to install it on my laptop. Despite entering my contact details to seek assistance, the experience turned out to be incredibly frustrating.

I received a call from an Indian gentleman who, after I explained my issue, started asking about the age of my laptop. I told him that the age of my laptop didn’t matter and that I simply wanted to install the Canon Print app. Rather than providing clear instructions, he began discussing unrelated issues about Microsoft updates.

I told him multiple times that all I wanted was help installing the app, but he continued to talk around the issue, making the process much more complicated than it needed to be. In the end, I found the app on the Microsoft Store myself and installed it - I cant find anywhere that it tells you the app is ONLY on the Microsoft store, all while he kept going on about Microsoft updates. At that point, he abruptly hung up mid-conversation, leaving me feeling completely unsupported.

Additionally, the software package Canon provides claims to install all the necessary programs, but it doesn’t. It installs the drivers and just a couple of pieces of software, but not the full suite that users actually need. A standalone version of Canon Print should really be available on their website, as it isn’t easy to find otherwise as its the best bit of software for your printer,

After that, I received another call from a lady, and I took the opportunity to file a complaint about my experience. This was incredibly disappointing, and I won’t be reaching out to Canon for help again.

I understand that sometimes things don’t go perfectly, but this lack of helpfulness, the unrelated information, and the abrupt hang-up were inexcusable. I’ll be doing my own searches for support in the future.

Excellent service and truly high-quality gear

I’ve had my Canon EOS R7 for quite a while now, and it continues to impress me with its build quality and performance. The lenses I use with it are also exceptional—solid, reliable, and great value for the quality.

Recently, I attended the Photo & Video Show where I had the chance to speak with Canon representatives in person. They were extremely friendly and helpful—by far the nicest team at the event. It was clear they cared about both their products and their customers.

I’ve also had to contact Canon customer service in the past regarding a small issue, and their response was quick, polite, and very helpful. I felt like they genuinely wanted to solve the problem, which isn’t something you get with every brand.

Canon has really earned my respect, both for their gear and the way they treat their customers.

Extremely dreadful horrible and terrible service ever

Subject: Urgent Complaint – Failure of Next-Day Delivery & Inconvenience

Dear Customer Service,

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service I have received from Canon and UPS. I placed an order for a Canon PIXMA TR4755i Wireless Colour All-in-One Inkjet Photo Printer on Monday, March 24th, with the expectation of next-day delivery, as Canon had promised. However, my order did not arrive on Tuesday as expected. Instead, I received a message from UPS stating that the delivery was scheduled for Wednesday between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
I waited the entire morning for the delivery, yet it did not arrive within the given timeframe. At 2:10 PM, I had to leave for a medical appointment. Shockingly, UPS attempted delivery at 2:36 PM, which is completely unacceptable. This is an appalling failure of service.
To make matters worse, instead of making another attempt to deliver the package to my home, UPS left my parcel at an alternative location, which is entirely inconvenient for me to collect. I do not have access to a car at the moment, meaning I would have to pay for a taxi just to retrieve my own package—an unnecessary expense caused by your failure to deliver on time.
This raises several critical concerns:
Why was my order not delivered on time, as promised?
Why am I being forced to pick up my parcel from another location when I paid for home delivery?
What kind of unreliable service is this?
Why did your online sales assistant provide false information to customers?
Your service has been nothing short of unprofessional, misleading, and unacceptable. This situation is a clear breach of consumer rights, as I was given incorrect and deceptive information regarding my delivery.
I demand that Canon take full responsibility for this issue. I expect my parcel to be delivered to my home immediately, without further inconvenience. Furthermore, given the time and money I have lost due to your service failure, I demand a £20 compensation to cover my additional expenses.
Failure to address this issue promptly will result in me sharing my experience on social media and consumer forums, warning others against purchasing directly from Canon.
I expect an immediate resolution to this matter.
Regards,
Shereen

Truly appalling customer service

Truly appalling customer service. Having tried to find out why my validated cashback claim hadn't been paid, I've been given several excuses. The latest being unexpected problems with payment transfers. A golden excuse used back in 2018. At least the one good thing to come out of it, is that Canon don't want business and pointed me in the direction of Sony. I've found Sony Cameras and lenses superb.

Rubbish home printers

Rubbish home printers. I have got a Cannon 500 and I have had issues printing since the very first day. The Bluetooth connection with my hp computer has worked only twice since I have got it.
The Bluetooth connection with mobile was very smooth, however I recently changed to Samsumn s24 and it is rubbish. It prints maybe 1 document then it stops printing anything else. Maybe, if I am lucky, it prints a second one after restarting everything and spoiling 10 paper sheets.
I obviously need a reliable replacement and it won't be a Canon. Poor documentation and online assistance too.

Cannon con to make me buy a new one

Very disappointed to find that Cannon no longer support my MG series printer and do not offer a driver for Windows 11. Their site suggests I purchase a new product. I therefore have no choice! But it most certainly won't be a Canon!

Canon scamming customers

Tried setting up my new canon pixma and it couldn't be found on WiFi connection, contacted canon support to which they took control of my sons laptop and proceeded to see why it wasn't installing and the advisor told me that I had almost 900 security threats on my wifi network and this was the reason I was having the issue so tried to charge me £109.99 for the techs to clear my wifi network. Luckily I said no and went away and sorted the problem by Google on canon help website. How many people have been SCAMMED by these so called canon techs

Charged £9 more for printer ink…

Charged £9 more for printer ink directly from Canon than for EXACTLY the same pack from Amazon. When I emailed I got a whole heap of blurb about third party ink. Pointed out this was for the Canon branded ink. Second reply just told me it was my responsibility to shop around! Needless to say I will buy direct from Amazon next time.

Avoid Canon Pixman Ink Plan

In January I signed up for the Pixman print plan at £2.49 per month but could never get it to work (it said printer couldn't connect to their server).

I contacted Canon support and they said it was a problem with the ink (that they had supplied) but they didn't know what the problem was.

While all this was going on they charged my debit card £3.99. When challenged Canon said they would refund me but never did.

I have now scrapped the printer and moved on but am still looking for a refund of the £3.99 Canon took.

I have just been reading all these…

I have just been reading all these awful reviews about canon. I am in Ireland I bought camera for my daughter on canon Ireland website. Got same camera for €400 cheaper somewhere else. Sent camera back for refund on 28th November. Still no refund I have spoken to canon over 20 times I get someone in Greece telling me lies about how camera is being scanned and I’ll have my refund soon. I am owed a refund of €919. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with disgraceful. I am very concerned to read so many bad reviews maybe this company should be reported to some kind of legal organisation. Very stressful snd upsetting situation.

Disgraceful - No Support from Canon

I have raised a ticket with Canon recently requesting for their support team to go through step by step process on how I can restrict colour printing on our image runner. Someone from Canon support sent me a link to a manual which was apparently supposed to show me instructions how I can do this.

I went to the guide that the support person sent me the link to but no where on that instructions did it mention where I needed to go to setup the restrictions.

I emailed Canon support back responding with screenshots of the guide they had sent me, asking them to kindly point out how I can go about setting this up as the instructions weren't very clear and showed images of copy setting and print settings but no proper instructions on how to get through certain setting to take me to restricting colour printing/ copying.

What irritated me most about Canon support is that they didn't bother responding to my email with the screenshots of their manual to show me exactly what I needed to do! Canon thought it was acceptable to close the case ticket as resolved and they did this 3 times in a row when I've responded back to them asking then to show me.

Canon support is absolutely disgraceful! Our Canon account manager is even worse as he has tried selling us newer model up from our current image runner and said that our current device does not have the functionality to allow us to restrict colour printing. His purpose was to upsell us but luckily a when one of their engineers came to check our other image runner at our other site, they confirmed that our account manager was lying to us to upsell the product which is absolutely disgusting. We are only a small primary school and we can't get any proper support from Canon at all!

I just want other schools to think carefully before signing any contracts with Canon!

Terrible Experience – Avoid Canon Shop UK

I am absolutely disgusted with the service from Canon Shop UK. I purchased a camera kit over a month ago, and it never arrived. Despite countless attempts to resolve this, they keep giving me the same excuse – that they are waiting for the delivery company to finalise their investigation before processing my refund.

It has been over a month, and I am still without a camera or a refund. The lack of urgency and customer care is appalling. As a loyal Canon customer, this experience has completely shattered my trust in the brand.

Do yourself a favour and avoid purchasing directly from Canon Shop UK. Their service is an absolute disgrace.
