Great communication
Clear, effective & timely communication made it easy to deal with Carbar. Taking delivery of the car was a breeze and I was encouraged to ask any & all questions I could think of at the time. Very pleasant experience.
Phenomenal service from the beginning
I needed the car at 9-9:30Am and they did it. They really listened and I wasn’t too late to the funeral I had to go to.

Initial experience
The whole team was very supportive on giving information and quick to respond. I needed some extra time to arrive for collection and they waited for me and didn't rush on explaining everything.
Overall good experience so far
The experience with CarBar was super easy and the staff were really friendly, which I appreciated.
That said, I was surprised that there was no condition report or odometer reading provided when I picked up the car. Given that the contract mentions an annual KM allowance (e.g. 20,000km/year) with extra charges if you go over, I would have expected this to be documented up front so both sides are on the same page.
I even asked for the odometer reading by email and sent my own photos, but my question was ignored—which left me unsure of what’s officially on record. That raised a bit of concern for me around trust and transparency.
Overall, the process was smooth, but this part of the experience could definitely be improved with more upfront documentation and clearer communication.
Delays, Misinformation & Dirty Car Upon Collection
The delay in my vehicle being ready for collection was attributed to the car requiring a new set of tyres and that there was difficulty locating a supplier. Hmmm. Fair enough, although I now had to hire another car while waiting. But then finally got the Tesla.... and NO NEW TYRES in sight - someone's telling porkies !!!!!
Carbar's own policy says "As part of our agreement, tyre suppliers have been instructed to replace your vehicle's tyres with the same brand and specifications supplied when the vehicle was new."
But apparently they don't really mean this :(
Also I had to wash the car and vaccum it as well cause it was not cleaned for the new subscriber. Also the Tesla software updates hadn't been done for some time, so apparently hours of my time were going to take care of that for carbar too.
Also not sure why the Tesla Premium Subscription isn't engaged with the vehicle?? This is very helpful showing current traffic conditions on your sat nav map - this is typically considered a standard included feature on a hire car.
Also the Tesla they gave me is an aging 3 yo Model 3 with 70,000km

Signing up process was easy and smooth. Collecting the car was easy too. However, the car wasn't cleaned like it should have been. It would be great if before the pickup the car is washed and cleaned properly before its handed over to the customer.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! Provide cars that are faulty (AC didn’t work properly, apple car play did not work, faulty fuel filter which caused the car not to fill up properly and run through fuel so quickly). Have the CHEEK to charge for 20,000km when I only had the car three months and used 3,352km out of the 20k km and tried to charge me for excess mileage. Charged $100!!!!! For a Hoover and wash upon return which NO OTHER hire company does when returning a vehicle! The whole point of hiring is to swap within a few months and avoid cleaning! The car wasn’t even that dirty! Tried to charge me twice for two subscriptions even though I was supposed to receive a refund for the first subscription! AVOID AT ALL COSTS LIKE THE PLAGUE! They are scammers and will scam you out of the money! A negative social media report will follow to highlight the negativities using this company. Will be raising with the bank as fraudulent!
