Great advice on applying for jobs

A valuable day for all the young people attending to learn from the experiences and advice of speakers from a range of leading industries. Lots of opportunities for connections with organisations and other education establishments. I would recommend to any school or college who would like to help students see where their passion and skillset in sport could take them in their future career.

As a speaker, I got the opportunity to connect with future members of the sports industry and also learn their perspectives, challenges and thoughts around their careers in the sports industry- such an engaging event that taught me the importance of engagement and interaction, as well as hearing the inspirational stories from the keynote talkers- for anyone wanting to kick-start their career in the sports industry but dosent know where to begin, this is 100% the best way to get started

Careers in sport was a well organised and professionally ran event. The timings, venue, organisation were all excellent and really valuable to young people. The collection of speakers further offered invaluable insights for young people.

A really good event giving students a chance to see a variety of career pathways and jobs in sport! Well organised and a good location in Cardiff.

It was a good event but was spoiled by the behaviour of a couple of groups of students. We really felt for the presenters who struggled to compete with the noise.

Fantastic experience for students, giving them a valuable insight into the sports and digital industries. I would highly recommend the event for any young person wanting to learn and indulge in the knowledge from professionals already in the roles.

A great experience on the whole. I think the students got a lot out of hearing from successful people within the sports industry.

The only thing I would say to improve in the future would be to either make it half a day or to do two days a part 1 and a part 2 as in the afternoon a lot of the students attention started to wander as it was a long day of being talked to.

More practical/hands on exercises might also be of benefit.

A quality central venue, attendance from delegates was great (room was full). A variety of speakers and interactive segments that kept delegates engaged whilst providing vital information and opportunities.

Excellent day packed full of guest speakers and exhibitors stands giving students an opportunity to consider lots of careers in sport. As a member of staff hearing about the eight employability guides from YLVC will be invaluable to us. Thank you.

I've visited a number of these events now and they're really useful. They're an excellent networking opportunity, while the range of speakers and resources provides both the students and organisations with a unique opportunity to meet each other – and in an excellent sporting setting. We have been involved with Careers in Sport for almost a decade, and they continue to provide a range of useful services and resources. I wish it was around when I was a student!

This event offered students a fantastic opportunity to mingle and build connections with companies and individuals crucial for their future journeys. This was a great event for students to meet and network with companies and individuals that will help them navigate their future. A fun day interacting as groups participating in table games with some really good presenters.

Careers in Sport has stood the test of time, providing a unique and comprehensive resource for any young person contemplating a sports career. Harvey and his hugely experienced team is the secret behind its success. Also the live events always provide an informative and inspirational environment for all attendees.

I was a presenter for Careers in Sport at Edinburgh University, where I presented to over 150 enthusiastic students about a career in physiotherapy.

This is an amazing platform, by providing open days, up and down the country at fantastic venues, packed with information, as how best to approach and follow the pathway required for those wanting to forge a career in sport.

I was a presenter at Careers in Sport for their event at Selhurst Park, where I spoke to over 200 students who were all passionate and engaged about Sport.

Careers in Sport are a fantastic organisation and would happily work with them again!

The event was well organised and the set up allowed presenters to exhibit their skills and knowledge effectively.
