I traded in my iPhone with them over two weeks ago and I am still waiting for my money. I was told a week ago that they are busy so my iPhone is sitting somewhere in their warehouse if they haven’t lost it.
If you want to trade in your device don’t make the Same mistake as me and find another company. Companies like mazuma pay the money on the day of delivery.

Got a quote for a new phone contract in the bullring branch. Was massively over quoted to what i could find elsewhere and staff were very pushy. Glad I didn’t go ahead as i would have been really out of pocket (to the sound of nearly £1k over the course of 24 months!)

PERRY BARR BRANCH
I upgraded my Samsung phone in store - Perry Barr, Birmingham on 8th August, great no problems. They had a promotion where you buy 3 items and they are discounted, so I had the screen shield, (which I definitely wanted), phone case, and was encouraged to have the wireless charger, which I was reluctant to have. When I got home, I realised in the phone box it has 2 additional adaptors that can be used for charging, so I did not really need the wireless one. I went straight back to the Store, only to be told that only the Manager can authorise an exchange, but he left early, so advised to come back the next day.
I went back on the 9th August, and met with 5 workers in the Store, 3 of whom were on their own phones. One worker - Nigel was very helpful once I told him the situation, however, another worker (one of three on their phones), said that they could not exchange as the item was part of a promotion and I would need to return all three. I told him how can I return all three when one of them (Screen Shield) is on my phone. Ridiculous. He was adamant and just shrugged his shoulders and said there is nothing they can do, but I can speak to the Manager, but he's not there as he had to leave in an emergency, or I can call Head Office. Nigel called them on my behalf, but unfortunately, unable to get through. Nigel tried again to see if he could exchange the item, but this staff member kept going on and on being belligerent and rude, and still continued to play on his phone. However, Nigel cracked it and was able to do the exchange, but this staff member was the only one who could go in the till and give my refund once I had my exchange (item was less that the wireless charger). He did not apologise and give no explanation why he couldn't do this in the first place.
I will not be going back to the Perry Barr shop and I have told my family and friends of this experience who have also said they will not be going back. Some of the staff need training in customer service, code of conduct, etiquette and efficiency.

Wednesbury store manager steve admited store did not have any VAT claim forms but made it a point it's not his problems as he didn't know how many would go on holiday.

My cousin visited me from Singapore and he wanted to buy an iPhone .I recommend Curry's so without going to apple store I sent him to currys.
Mr Dias (my cousin) had specifically said he is from Singapore and on the way back home he has to claim VAT and he needs a VAT claim form .
If your customer service agent said sorry we have run out of all VAT claim forms he would not buy the I phone worth £749.
What they did was sold the product saying normal invoice is fine .(when I went to the store customer service agent who served my cousin did admit all)
At the airport with a small child he has got hassled and HMRC officer has said carephone warehouse has to fill the form and without it he can't claim.
As you can see the invoice vat is £124.83
My self and my cousin is very upset as he first told that he needs to claim VAT and your staff lied to him just to sell the product and I recommended Curry's thinking that you would not do fraud like this .So he sent me all the invoices and wanted to make a complaint.
The reason for my email is when I went to the store your staff member did admit that they thought he could just claim VAT from the receipt and all the VAT forms from Curry's were run out at that time
So I asked the manger Steven why didn't you'll tell at that time that you'll find run out of all VAT claim forms .
His response was how do we spouse to how many are going on holiday and at that time store had no VAT claim forms.
He said he will post me one and I can do what ever I want to clearly do not have any understanding about VAT
He was very rude to me in public and they did admit the store did not have any VAT claim forms.So the reason my cousin did not able to claim VAT because your store did not have VAT claim forms .When I went to complain store managers response was how am I supposed to know how many would go on holiday.
He did not have the curtousy to apologise.
So far what I understand is carephone warehouse Curry's did a fraud to a international customer and after everything did not want to take the blame as well.

Went in store to discuss an upgrade
Went in store (Talbot Green) to discuss an upgrade. Managed to get me an extra 4GB of data each month and reduced my monthly bill from over £40 to £28. Had a much better deal through them as opposed to with my network provider direct.
Terrible refund policy
Terrible refund policy. Told by one sales advisor they had a 4 week return policy and told by someone else when I went back that it was a 2 week policy, and they could only replace like with like - ie I'm unhappy with a Sony phone but, I can only get a replacement of the SAME PHONE that I am unhappy with. No refund, no store credit. Abysmal policy, feel thoroughly ripped off.

Purchased a iPhone X on contract on cyber Monday with vodaphone in a carephone warehouse store. I was advised the credit check was declined. I was advised to contact vodaphone directly ...
I contacted the CEO office at vodaphone with a copy of my credit report. Cannot fault vodaphone they contacted carephone warehouse and rectified the credit issue - the person in store had processed under the wrong name etc.
Carephone warehouse contacted me to to say they can reinstate the order (didn’t mention that vodaphone had been in touch with them). Mohammed from retentions promised next day delivery etc. Then left a voicemail shortly after to say sorry it will be the 4th December.
I have been calling every day since last week to speak to Mohammed as I needed to collect the phone in store etc. 6 days on no call back from anyone and no phone .... I called today to folllow up and I have been advised there is no order in my name ...
The worst customer experience received ever. Avoid carephone warehouse their customer service team is incompetent and managers are never around to take calls.
Had a problem with my wife's new phone
Had a problem with my wife's new phone, popped into the Aberdeen Branch at Union Square last night where Chris quickly identified this as a contract issue as this was an upgrade. He solved the problem by replacing the handset and now the phone is working as it should, fantastic customer service. I will be heading in to see him once my current contract expires. I don't know if he can get a pat on the back but Chris deserves one.

Very bad customer service ,i noticed in most of their shops the employers are rude,i got a bad experience with a brand new s9+ wich was faulty and they didnt want to replace or to have a look..i will never buy anything from this company
Mobile phone shops- You need to get your act together.
Wanted to buy google daydream with phone, at carphonewarehouse in Currys in Birmingham. Could not give me a demonstration, also totally disinterested. Absolutely appalling service. Went around the corner to the other carphonewarehouse, also not interested, said they did not have a phone to put in the google Daydream headset, for a demonstration. I said I want to spend £800 and you cannot give me a demonstration. O2 in Birmingham centre, over 2 days, could not get the oculus headset to work. Good service here, but they should ensure they are working. John Lewis in Grand central, again, good service here, but said the oculus headset is not working, and has not been working for sometime. I work in retail, and have been very involved in training staff throughout my career, so I do have some experience. I am always baffled, how companies like Carphonewarehouse, year in, year out, get away with this cannot be bothered, apathetic attitude towards their customers. Shame on you. You should not be proud of the secondary service you offer. I suppose this is another £800 sale you have lost.👎😠😠😠

No service at all. As soon as they've taken your order, they're not interested in ensuring that your device gets delivered. When renewal comes next time round, they'll be getting the royal order of the FO. If they're still in business......

Incredibly poor refund system and unhelpful customer service
Ordered a new phone for collection in store on the 23rd Feb, my requirements changed and I had to cancel the order.
Called Carphone Warehouse to cancel, they told me I had to visit the collection store to cancel.
Over the next couple of weeks, I received emails that my order was ready for collection - but I had cancelled this.
Finally, on 12th March I received email to say the order has been cancelled - it obviously had timed out.
On 10th March I received email to say charges to my card will be refunded in 14 days
Emailed a couple of times to question this - no reply
Called today (3rd April) to sales team. They told me my money was held as a credit note and had to be transferred to customer services. After a 30 minute wait, this was finally refund
Why could the cancellation be done over the phone? Why did I have to waste my time and money travelling to the store to cancel the order?
The charges were not refunded after 14 days to my card

Never had such a bad experience in my life!!! Stay away from them. I was called in the shop to collect my phone just to be told after 1 hour and a half that they cannot give it to me. I would never never ever go back

Their deals are a con. Dressed up to make them look cheap but over the length of the contract will cost you more than if you had dealt direct with the operator.
Also, told us in the shop that we would have service within 2 hours but, after 2 hours, was told by customer services that would take 2 days. After 2 days, no service and was told by O2 that they had no record of it being requested. I asked CW customer services for the shop number and they gave me a number which turns out to be chargeable. I called 5 times, as no one ever answered the phone. Never again and I suggest you avoid too,

I seen a phoned advertised in store katie told me my colour options and price for sim free liked what she told me and decided to go a head with my purchase when I got to the till The person on the till tryed to charge me an extra £50 till I pointed out the advertised price was told this was wrong and if i wanted the phone to stump up the extra £50 Katie also asked me to pay more I refused bad customer service will not be BACK.
I Was going to buy Sony XA1 PINK as a Xmas gift for my wife. I also took pics of this phone and price advertised in store.
