We had a small accident with the car we had rented.
Nothing major, just a scratch, but the car rental charged us a hefty repair cost.
The car hire excess service was great and efficient. They reimbursed us quickly and in full for the repair costs.
Best £12-15 invested in insurance.

The fact that Green Motion is excluded from cover is not clear and only mentioned in T&Cs. I’ve now wasted £40-odd quid.

AVOID - SCAMMERS
I tried to cancel the renewal but it is impossible to get in touch with this insurance. Unable to log into my account because the login system claims to send a verification code that never arrives (including in junk mail). The telephone line disconnects after I select from the menu. No response to my cancellation emails to their info email addresses ending in .com and .co.uk.
29.6.26 After I send a physical letter to their headoffice I have now received a refund of the money they fraudulently took from my account and a non-committal email saying the case is now closed. Still no confirmation whether they have actually cancelled my auto-renewal (who knows, might be trying to take money again next year) or an explanation why I never had any replies to my emails, why their phone number does not work and why they would not send me a code so I could log into my account. So I have followed it up and am still waiting.
