Ok service but make sure there’s no subscription
I was planning on buying a car and chose CarJudge to confirm various factors about the car, I was looking to buy. I saw that it was a relatively small fee for the check, I think £2.95 or so.The report came in immediately and I thought that was the end of the matter. Lo and behold I have since been charged 2 separate payments of £25.95, even though I haven’t conducted any further checks. On contacting them I was told that I had subscribed to them, No I hadn’t. Apparently as the initial fee is quite low, smaller than most others, if not cancelled you are subscribed to do further checks. This practice could be misleading if not checked thoroughly . The report itself was ok and never showed any warning signs, which was reassuring . I subsequently emailed CarJudge and explained everything, they responded quickly and thankfully I have been refunded. Moral of the story is read the fine print.

Useless, Misleading, Dodgy
The report I received was basically useless, containing no information that I hadn't already been able to locate for free. In addition, it was not made clear that by entering my details to buy the one and only report I wanted, they would automatically sign me up for a monthly £25.95 charge for multiple vehicle reports that I will never use.
Finally, in going through the website to cancel the subscription, all the "no I want to keep my subscription" buttons were massive and the "continue to cancel" buttons were tiny and faded. Furthermore I had to click through several pages confirming over and over again that I wanted to cancel. It's the kind of little sleazy tactics that make a company clearly thoroughly untrustworthy. I would never use the service again and would recommend that anyone else avoids them at any cost. There are dozens of other car checker websites out there, and they must all be either the same quality or better than this one.

I purchased what I believed was a…
I purchased what I believed was a one-time vehicle report for €2.90, but afterward I discovered that CarJudge had automatically enrolled me into a recurring monthly subscription without making it sufficiently clear during checkout.
They continued charging me €29.95 every month, and I only noticed later when checking my bank transactions. This feels extremely misleading and unfair to customers who only want a single report.
The subscription terms should be displayed much more clearly before payment. In my experience, the whole process was confusing and lacked transparency.
Very disappointed with this experience and I would not recommend this service.
Update: After contacting their support team by email, they eventually canceled the subscription and issued me a refund. The money is now being returned to my account.
