I’m extremely disappointed with Carmoney
I had a very frustrating experience with Carmoney after buying a car through their finance.
Within 6 months of purchase, the car broke down and I reported the issue immediately to the warranty provider, Warrantywise, on the same day. The process with them dragged on for weeks with little to no progress, which left me stuck without a proper resolution.
When it became clear nothing was moving forward, I contacted Carmoney directly for support. By that point, it was just over the 6-month mark — purely because of the delays in the process — but instead of helping, they focused on the technicality that I had contacted them “after” 6 months.
This was extremely disappointing, especially considering the issue itself was reported well within the 6-month period to the relevant parties. To make matters worse, the garage confirmed that the car required a completely new engine due to severe engine failure.
Overall, I feel let down by the lack of support and the unwillingness to look at the situation fairly. The focus on technicalities rather than customer care made an already stressful situation even worse. I wouldn’t recommend based on this experience.

The agent i spoke to named Rob, was really good quick and precise and done everything he could to help me, which I appreciated very much. A few unlucky episodes for me but he always came up with something and always txt me to keep me in the loop so congrats to him. My experience with CarMoney was brilliant. I had a guy called Cruz assisting me and he made the whole process were easy and straightforward. He went out of his way to get everything sorted for me with as little hassle as possible. I would highly CarMoney and Cruz.

My advice to avoid at all costs!
My knowledge with cars is poor and I got a vehicle on finance through car money, upon delivery if the vehicle through a dealership I will not name, I noticed cosmetic issues they told me had fixed, the coolant level was below the low indicator and the centre armrest felt insecure. I tried to reject but the delivery driver wanted £250 in cash and pressure from my partner made me keep the vehicle.
Within two weeks of having the vehicle the coolant system went pop and coolant was dripping under the car, in hindsight I realised there was a slow leak that has eventually given way. Now there were other issues with the car that led to it becoming uninsurable due to a discrepancy with the gearbox (manual / auto), car money asked IVIS to come assess the vehicle but due to IVIS wasting my time it would take three weeks so I had a mechanic come assess the vehicle, the bottom half of the engine was cleaned to find the source of the leak and traced it to the thermostat housing and he told me it’s been like that for a while with the amount of calcium deposits and that someone and been using tap water to top it up. But IVIS disagreed as they couldn’t find the evidence as the engine had been cleaned to find the source and I wasn’t there to explain the situation to them.
So my advice is to carmoney. I will be going to the finance ombudsman as factually speaking the IVIS report is not factual and is missing crucial information, plus the photos don’t even show the crack or issues in hand which I find to be hilarious
