tried this company, what a mistake that was,they are a complete scam, ordered plates, arrived a few days later, totally illegal, no spacing,not to british standard, no maker. tried to email but it's not contactable,look at their site ,no address, no phone contact,false trustpilot reviews,looked at terms and conditions clearly states plates illegal for road, also no refunds for any reason,clearly illegal trading,am currently going via consumer line and trading standards, these scabs need stopping. avoid at all costs, I will only use Number 1 plates in future, used before, I am an idiot for not using this time,excellent service

Ordered plates which I’ve never received, I’ve sent 3 emails with no response to any of them! Absolutely awful experience. Will have to claim through my credit card company.

If I could have put negative stars I would have. Experience I had was completely negative they took my money and never sent the plates I ordered. They palmed me off with two emails saying the plates had been manufactured and it was the couriers fault, but the courier link with evri they gave me showed they never gave it to them. Other reviews show it’s a scam they take your money and that’s it. I had to raise a case with PayPal to get my money back. AVOID AVOID AVOID

They are complete charlatans. Their number plates are illegal.

I’ve tried to call them for a week and they have completely ignored me.

They should be referred to trading standards.

Ordered a set 4D plates 2 years ago and one of the digits has fallen off so I ordered a set of gel plates which have been delivered despite using EVRI as the courier, I then read on the website that all plates come with a 3 year guarantee, however it seems that even though a digit has fallen off manufacturing defects are only covered for the first 12 months, so the next 24 months only guarantee the plates against being noisy or suffering from damp or possibly self combusting, I can't quite think what else could go wrong with a number plate that isn't a manufacturing defect and there customer services don't have an answer either, so buyer beware and look for a supplier that honours the warranty advertised, I for sure won't be back.

The plates I was sent are incorrect. I have emailed, called and left voicemails repeatedly now for 17 days with no response. I checked reviews prior to purchase, clearly I should have gone directly to a retailer to get them done so I could check before purchase but this wasn’t convenient.
This is appalling customer service.

This company is joke. Paid fir fast delivery thursday 27th of february and today is 5th of march and was not even dispatched. Waste of time and waste of money. I called them up no answer. Left message no call back. Sent lot of mails no answer. Do yourself a faver and choose someone else. Useless

Won’t be using again. Express delivery was 5 days and questioning this just resulted in a hyperlink to Evri tracking. Which I had anyway.
This company don’t give a s*** and I can see why. Do yourself a favour and use another company. Waste of space!

Tried several time to contact them via email and voicemail for an invoice and no reply. Why aren't you sending an invoice automatically? Should have really read the reviews before placing an order.

It's now 5th March and I've still not heard back from them. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

23.04.2025 update - an invoice was not sent automatically and it's taken them over a month to reply to this review! Shocking!

Really like the 3D plates,great quality,can't fault them, the experience was let down by very poor communication,they do not reply to emails or the phone and the supposed same day dispatch took a week!!

Multiple emails and voicemails left regarding an order a simple request such as an Invoice to be emailed and have been completely ignored for 2 weeks now.

Calling any number or option for this business just goes to voicemail.

Buyer Beware.

Ordered plates which were dispatched on the 31st Dec. EVRI then were meant to deliver Thursday 2nd and failed, then again Tuesday 7th, still no plates. Cannot contact carplatesdirect.com to find out what is going on. My car cannot be used until I receive these places which is extremely annoying and inconvenient.

Number plates arrived today 8th Jan 16:19

Received my plates today, they look lovely. But the plates aren’t actually road legal, they don’t show the British Standard number on the plates. Since reading these reviews I’ve found out that there will be no refunds. Be careful when buying from these, as you can’t legally use the number plates. That’s £70 down the drain.
