Appalling experience

Appalling experience. My daughter bought a car from Blair James who also trades from the same premises as Cars for Everyone. The car was faulty from day 1 and whilst Blair James seemed willing to fix it at the start, after 2 of his so say ‘repairs’ the car remained faulty. Despite reassurances from him that it was safe to drive it broke down with engine failure. At this point we asked for a refund as was our right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Straight away the once pleasant Blair James turned rude, abusive and unwilling to give a refund. We took him to court and the judge saw in my daughter’s favour. Despite this Mr James has NOT paid the debt and when contacted swore at my daughter. We have since found other customers of this dealership who have had the same problem. Any good reviews on here are presumably from those who were lucky enough to buy a car with no faults and so didn’t have to deal with the unpleasant and highly unprofessional side of Blair James. We have had a terrible experience and my daughter who is only in her 20s has lost all of the money she took years to save to buy what she hoped was a decent car.

WARNING

I would strongly advise anyone to think very carefully before buying a car from Blair James trading as Cars for Everyone and Cars4Kids, The Place, Mill Lane, Alderley Edge, SK97TY
The car I purchased developed a fault on the same day I collected it and ultimately ended with engine failure. When a refund was refused, I followed the proper legal process and obtained a County Court Judgment (CCJ) against him.
Despite the court ruling in my favour, the judgment remains unpaid. Communication from James Blair has become unpleasant and abusive. Based on my experience, I would urge potential buyers to exercise extreme caution
