Bought 2 500 dollar roblox giftcards for my friends. Complete bullshit. No conformation email or anything. Contacted support, they said they’ll refund within 24-48 hours. It has been 4 days and still nothing. They told me to contact my bank, which I did, and they said that the transaction already went through. It says error when purchasing, and it dosen’t even show up in the orders section in CashStar! This is a complete scam!

I reached out to customer support multiple times and didn't received a response for days. Every payment method I tried for buying a gift card was canceled without explanation. I ended up having to buy a gift card from Amazon, and it worked perfectly fine. This was a frustrating experience. I hope I won’t be using this service again.

I would likento give them a zero. This is a scam company. I went to crate and barrels website to buy a gift card and that took me to cash star. As stated by multiple reviewers, the transaction failed and the company is yet to return my money. Finding their number is very difficult. Once I did, they told me that I would be refunded within 24 to 4 8 hours becasue the transaction took failed. It's been 4 days, they have not yet refunded anything.

Got a £284 TUI giftcard through my work Achievers scheme - tried to use it against my only TUI holiday booking. It hasn't worked - TUI have not received the funds. I raised a complaint through Cashstar and they say it has been redeemed.

Their PlayStation gift card service was not working: when I tried to pay, I got an error saying the payment had been refused. I tried four times using two different payment methods, thinking that my payments were BEING REFUSED as the error told me. In reality CashStar has actually reserved money on my credit card and paypal account for gift cards I will never receive (and don't want anymore, CashStar I want you to cancel the pending charges).
The worst part though is how this situation was handled by CashStar.
First of all, CashStar customer support is only reachable by submitting a form on their platform (from the Netherlands at least). There is no phone number, e-mail or chat option. You don't even get a confirmation e-mail when you submit the form.
Second, they just simply do not respond. I have not received any kind of reaction to my two messages. I think they are just letting the pending charges expire, which means I am missing 4x 60 euros of spendable income for as long as that takes. Incredibly LAZY handling of this problem. The least you can do is send me a message informing me and CashStar is either too lazy or too incompetent to manage even that.
I will never buy a PlayStation gift card again as long as CashStar is the company handling them. Or any other giftcard managed by CashStar.

I purchased a gift card through CashStar and the amount was immediately deducted from my bank account. However, I received a message saying: "Unable to process your order", and I never received the gift card or any clear explanation.
I tried to contact their customer support, but got no response. There’s no proper way to track the order status, and the lack of communication is extremely frustrating.
This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. A company handling digital payments should have a much better system in place to protect customers and respond to issues.
I do not recommend using CashStar at all. If I don’t get a resolution soon, I will dispute the charge with my bank.
⚠️ Please be careful — avoid using this service until they fix these major problems and start respecting customer trust.

Huge risk of payment declining and not refunding you for a 1-2 week period - approach with caution!
As someone residing in the US with multiple different US based payment methods, every single one of them was declined. Rather than receive help from support, you'll simply be shooed off and told they have no details and to just buy a physical plastic card elsewhere. Their "response" to this review was just the exact same copy-pasted message, only from a different name. I have never experienced as awful of service as I have with CashStar and recommend nobody to purchase from them unless they get their act together - 2 stars only because they don't outright take your money and refuse to give it back.
They don't seem to want to provide the customer service at all, so why should you do business with them? What is going on in this company?

Been given a Morrisons giftcard from Tameside council through my sons school for dinners through the summer holidays, the link provided just says page not found and to call a premium number which I can’t do. Can’t contact school as it’s the 6 weeks holidays, Morrisons said they can’t help! Useless!

Bought a roblox 60€ card, everything worked etc etc but didn't get the email to redeem it. Contacted support, and never got an answer.
Edit: got an answer, but they just say the order has not been processed; though on the site, it says it has been processed successfully, and the gift card is there. Though there is no way to claim in, because I need a mail to arrive, BUT IT DIDN'T

I bought a $10 Roblox Giftcard on the 6th of July 2025, and got charged for it. I then received an email telling me to wait to receive my card then immediately, I got another email saying that my transaction failed although I got charged for it.
I went over and emailed their customer service, writing my issue, order number, email, and amount. A day later, I received the first email that said it is going to take about 72hrs for the cancellation and return of fund to complete.
I had waited 72hrs and didn't receive any payment yet. I emailed them and they took two bloody days to respond with an unnecessary comment again.
I then contacted my financial institution about it and they asked for the website link, amount spent, and an ARN code. I straightly went to email the Roblox Cashstar customer service and they sent "screenshots". There was a big blank after they said here are the screenshots. They're really starting to get on my nerves. I asked for the bloody ARN code and they keep dodging the question.
All I need is the ARN code to be able to get my refund.
I don't recommend buying anything Cashstar and I apologise to people who got scammed by them. Their customer service is VERY BAD: they take forever to respond and deliver you useless responses. Note that I'm not from the US so I cannot contact their phone number. This is what I got to deal with
