Horrible experience. No way to speak with a actual person. Every email takes days for anyone to respond. They don't send out gift cards in timely manner. Still waiting after ordering on Black Friday... See more

As everyone else claims, CrashScam will take your money and run away with it. They were bought years ago by another already dead company who last posted something in 2020, they are also banned from Twitter. The support contact redirects to a non-existent form and a fake phone.
As the other reviews say, immediately after you buy a gift card from the PlayStation site, they automatically send you a generic mail stating that they were unable to process the order and that's it. Your money is gone.
Be careful!

Cashstar is a scam. I can't believe that the PlayStation official website redirected me to them. How is it possible that Sony works with this scam company? I purchased a gift card with my PayPal, the transaction went through, I got charged and never received the code. I have messaged their customer support countless times and they just never reply to me. I lost my money. PlayStation customer support says that I need to talk to Cashstar, same with PayPal customer support. Unbelievable.

"playstation.cashstar.com" SCAM!
WEBPAGE for Gift Cards – THIS IS A SCAM.
CASHSTAR SEEMS TO BE A SCAM!
Do not be fooled by official-looking referrals or websites.
I purchased a gift card directly through the PlayStation webpage, thinking it was safe and legitimate. The payment went through, money was deducted from my account, and immediately after, I received the message:
"Unable to Process Your eGift Card Order."
No gift card. No refund. No proper support. Just silence.
The payment was processed through CashStar – a company that appears to be acting fraudulently or with gross negligence.
This is not an isolated issue. This is a pattern.
I am reporting this to PlayStation, my bank, and the police. Others should do the same.

This is a Public Notice of possible breach of bank account, debit card, credit card, and private data information. Twice, within one weeks' time, unknown electronic gift card purchases through this entity called "CashStar". The transaction begins pending as, "AMAZON" followed by a city name that is likely nearby, in the amount of $0.00, then the following day shows up as, "CS *STORENAME* GC" , (with store phone number), ME" followed by the amount of the gift card ($25, $50, etc.). First experience was March 13/14, 2025; second experience March 24, 2025.
There has been no prior experience with this company, as online electronic gift card purchasing has not been initiated by this party.
Thank you, kindly, "Josh R." for your response. The link in the email did not work when attempting to respond. We are still trying to remedy the situation, as the second ($50) charge has not been returned to our account. There has been no information as to how or where the access of the private information originated, however, CadhStar electronic Gift Card services has not refunded the amount in dispute. Thank you.

I ordered a £50 gift card through the Boots app, but I have yet to receive it. When I contacted Boots, they told me to reach out to the third-party company responsible. After checking the reviews for this company, I was shocked to see how many customers have faced the same issue. It’s clear that this company is unreliable, if not an outright scam, and I’m astonished that a trusted retailer like Boots continues to use them. This needs to be addressed—customers shouldn’t have to chase their money for something as simple as a gift card.

I tried buying a €50 giftcard from playstation-cashstar, but at checkout it said that my transaction failed. Very weird because there was enough money in my account. I tried again and the same thing happened. Never mind, i thought. The next day i open my bank app to find out that the €50 was taken twice, but had received no giftcards. I want my money back.

Tried to buy a $100 Delta gift card. The transaction failed so I tried again. Same thing.
Yet the charges are still pending a week later and taking money out of my available balance.

I purchased a 10$ us playstation gift card from cashstar thinking it was a store from playstation. And when I bought it I got a message that the transaction was failed, I thought that after that I will get a refund to my PayPal account but I was dumbfounded to find that I didn't get my money back. If an employer from cashstar saw this please contact me and refund my purchase.

I pay a CVS Pharmacy gift card from Cashtar but like many here, I was scammed, because after the purchase they sent me an email stating that my payment could not be processed, but my money was deducted from my bank account.

I did my research before ordering a Boots gift card via CashStar. And I clicked on the link that was on the Boots website but unfortunately it does appear to be a scam.
I placed my order and seconds later the money left my bank account and I got an email confirming my purchase. Then almost instantly I got a second email saying ‘We were unable to process your eGift Card order from Boots’. But clearly they were able to because the money has left my account. However, I never received a gift card from them.
This was two days ago and still no refund.
Wouldn’t expect this from Boots or a company they contract.

I was sent this website from PlayStation itself. They said to buy a gift card and make my account current so they lift the suspension. I have never experienced such an unprofessional company. I called them last night to make sure the company was legit and they said they were. They promised to expedite the process of my gift card. They didn't hesitate to take money from my account and sent me an email saying there was an error processing my gift card and they would return my money. Well I still haven't received a refund. Don't buy from this company at all!

Just wanted to give a positive review and disagree with people saying it's a scam.
I ordered a $75 PlayStation voucher from CashStar, as the official PlayStation website for gift card purchases redirects to their site. I have to admit it did look pretty sketchy, and I probably should have done a bit more research before buying. Reading all the negative reviews got me a bit scared, but the gift card was redeemed with no issues at all.
For a reference timeline, I placed my order Sunday 2nd March 2025 at 11am PST, and received confirmation emails from CashStar around the same time. The delivery mode I'd chosen was a link that could be shared with the intended recipient. The link was available to me immediately from the confirmation screen after purchasing, which I shared straight away, but the gift card said it was still processing and to wait 30 minutes - 2 hours.
I got a second email notification 40 minutes later about a link to share the gift card, around the same time I got a text from the recipient saying they now had access to the code. I decided to reserve judgment until the code had been successfully redeemed, and there were no issues with that. All in all, it went about as smoothly as I hoped it could have.
Given the other reviews, maybe there are some improvements that could be done by way of customer service, but my purchase went off without a hitch. It would be nice to be a bit more clear about the gift receipt timelines at the time of purchase. I think because it's a digital gift card people expect delivery to be pretty immediate. A good experience overall (on this occasion for a first time user at least), but next time I might just use cdkeys or something.

Horrible service—avoid buying from them. My purchase didn’t go through, yet I still have a pending payment on my PayPal account.

I have just ordered a £100 PlayStation gift card for my son but I have not received a code to be able to redeem it? I believe this is a scam website but am happy to be proved wrong if this can get resolved?
Will be contacting my bank and also writing to PlayStation to inform them of CashStars operation.
Please resolve immediately and I will happily update my review!
I have sent order details… awaiting response and gift card??
Fair play - Have received a response CashStar team and delay was apparently caused by a technical issue. Have requested a refund as gift card purchased elsewhere for my son’s birthday.
Will update as/when refund received and amend my trust pilot review and score accordingly!
Final Update - Following further correspondence with the Cash Star team I was informed that the transaction was never processed and after several days the ‘pending payment’ on my bank account has now disappeared with no money taken. Obviously a processing issue so be careful but no scam.

I bought the Roblox gift card for $100 3 days ago and still didn't get it The customer support doesn't reply. This was supposed to be a birthday gift for my son, who is hugely disappointed now!
I don't understand how Roblox still cooperates with scammers!

I've been trying to open an account for a few days but I can't open it, can you help with this?

I purchased $100 PlayStation gift card (Order Number: CND6MGU5HX) and never received any confirmation email nor the gift card itself. I tried to use the self service portal and put my email but never received the link. I then tried to submit a support ticket but, then again, never received any email or response. This is very frustrating because the money was withdrawn right away from my account, but the gift card is never sent. And yes, I have checked both my inbox and junk mail for all of the above.
Update: Dear Maurice, I provided the requested information.
