Didn't get contacted for follow up appointment in reasonable timescale

Following initial appointment with doctor over video link, I requested slight adjustment from the nearly £500 first prescription given by doctor because couldn't afford that amount per month. I called and my prescription was adjusted to amount I could afford, I received medication really quickly and follow up appointment was booked for telephone appointment on 21st June 25 @ 10.40 but I never received call which is very annoying as I did need to speak to doctor about changing prescription. As 21st June appointment was on Saturday I couldn't call helpline which is only open midweek. So I emailed CB1 and I received reply back on 22th June 25 telling me they've rescheduled my appointment for 7th July 25 @ 10.40am but as initial first prescription which was issued on 5th june 25 and as prescription are only valid for 21days Im now left not being able to speak to doctor in reasonable timescale so im not left without medication.. Their meant to care about their patients, what a joke!!

Wowzers!

Been a patient of CB1 Medical for a month now. Took a while deciding who to go with as there are so many similar clinics. After a good while reading reviews, I noticed lots of folks mentioned how they moved to CB1 Medical. So far the experience has been amazing. Easy to navigate app and someone is always at the end of the phone too. Had a great consultation with Dr Simon who answered every question I had. He advised me on what products would suit my needs and didn't try to over sell anything. The process has been swift and easy. One payment a year for consultations where other companies charge per consultation or per month...
The medication has made a world of difference. 8 years after breaking my back I am finally able to sleep! For more than 2 hours at a time too! I wish I had signed up years ago.
My other medications (pills by the bucket load) are now redundant.
Give them a call and see if they can a help you.

amazing

The staff are so polite and helpful, i love that i can choose different strains from my pre approved list depending on my pain levels etc. very reasonably priced, only 50 for the year’s consultations is a bonus too! Delivery is super quick and efficient, i get my order usually bang on 2 days after purchasing. Honestly ive not slept this good in years! I have crohns disease and CB1’s products have changed my life for the better and im only on my 3rd prescription. i'm no longer in constant pain, i sleep better, my appetite is better, i feel like ive been polished up nice and shiny- my energy levels are coming back after being severely fatigued for years! i honestly really really do recommend cb1 medical to anyone reading this! absolutely brilliant company with absolutely brilliant service. Honourable mention to Dr M Al Rikabi, he is so professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and really puts you at ease. He knows his stuff and was such a pleasure to speak to when i had my initial consultation. couldnt have hoped for better healthcare! im over the moon.

Affordable, fast and reliable

I've been a patient with CB1 18 months now and have never had any real issue with the clinic. Pharmacy and reception staff are friendly and helpful and Dr Delaffon is understanding and listens to me and my needs.

CB1 have always been prompt on issuing medication and delivery, but this already good service was stepped up a level in October last year with the introduction of the app. I typically receive my medicine 2 working days after requesting.

Fantastic affordable clinic, would recommend to any medical patient.

Terrible experience, been with another company for over a year, which I had to cancel due to cost.Promised an easy transfer, got turned down by doctors now left with no medication and no clinic. Mental health is through the wall. Liars

Great First Appointment, Disappointing Follow-Up

My first appointment at the clinic was great—David was really helpful, listened to my needs, and I felt supported with the products I was prescribed. Unfortunately, my second appointment wasn’t as positive. I felt there was less attention to what had worked for me before, and I was advised to try something new without much explanation or confidence it would help. The advice between staff felt inconsistent, which left me confused. Overall, a strong start but my follow-up experience could have been better.

Apparently can't find me with every…

With everything it looks like you should be approved.

But we can't find out who you are with your NHS number GP details. Name and address, d.o.b , driving license, email address, hospital letters showing all of this information..
Can you please provide us with the name you signed up with and the email address..

*well you are emailing me on the email address that contains my name that I signed up with and you would know since you would be able to see my account and at least find it the 3rd or 4th time I've repeated this information with hospital letters and such saying have a look and since you have also got my driving license on file.. I'm at a loss for what you can't work out about who I am, where my gp is , where I live or what my name and NHS number is.

Cannot fault them!

I’ve been using cb1 for a few months now, and after being let down by two other clinics, I honestly can’t praise them enough! The sign-up process was incredibly quick and straightforward, and to my surprise, they called me the same day with a last-minute appointment. I was fully set up, approved, and had my medication in hand within just three days of registering.

Since then, they’ve never let me down. The repeat prescription process is just as efficient, with a consistent three-day turnaround. Their customer service is always friendly, helpful, and responsive, I truly can’t fault them.

Been using CB1 Medical for the last few…

Been using CB1 Medical for the last few months, joining process was very easy, fast (had my approval and first order within a week of signing up) very happy with the service so far - always responsive when I email, very friendly and they respond back with what I need, fast shipping, some of the flower is on the dry side but there are a few strains I have been super happy with, vapes and oils were also good. Would like to see a bit more of a variety with choice of vapes. Thanks CB1

This is a good clinic

This is a good clinic. The consultation is very informative and the choice of medication is very good. The yearly fee is low and it seems to me to be the most affordable uk clinic at present. My meds get delivered quickly and the ordering system is efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Cold, Dismissive, You Need 6 Months on NHS Meds or They’ll Reject You


I booked with CB1 to explore medical cannabis for anxiety and sleep issues. I’d already tried NHS meds like sertraline, propranolol, and zopiclone, and explained everything honestly.

The consultation felt cold — no camera, short answers, and when I asked a genuine question about one of the treatments, the response felt dismissive.

A week after the call, I was told I hadn’t been on medication long enough and that “around 6 months” was needed. This wasn’t made clear before booking — and when I asked why, the reply was just “thanks, we’ll forward your feedback.”

If they have internal criteria like this, it should be clearly shown on the website. The fact that it isn’t suggests it’s not even a fixed rule.

I’ve since spoken with Mamedica, and the experience was completely different — respectful, clear, and focused on helping patients.

CB1 did refund me, but the process felt like a waste of time. If you’re considering applying, ask exactly how long they expect you to be on conventional meds first — or go elsewhere

To clarify, our standard practice requires that patients have tried two standard treatments before being approved for medical cannabis, unless you have just recently started one medication prescribed by your GP. In that case, we ask for a period of around six weeks to see if the medication is effective. If it is working well, then a medical cannabis prescription may not be necessary.

If the medications are not providing the relief you need, you’re always welcome to come back to us for a review. We want to make sure every patient gets the best possible support on their treatment journey.

Disorganised and stressful experience – would not recommend

I had a very disappointing experience with CB1 Medical. I booked and paid for a consultation to obtain a medical cannabis prescription. The appointment did take place, and the doctor confirmed I was eligible and said I would receive an invoice to pay that would then lead to the prescription being issued.

However, after the consultation, I heard nothing. I had to chase repeatedly via email, only to be told (incorrectly) that the appointment never happened. The team insisted the doctor was trying to call me, despite me clearly stating I was on a work trip and unable to take unscheduled calls. No alternative arrangements were offered, and my boundaries were not respected.

The communication throughout was disorganised and contradictory, and I was left in limbo with no prescription, despite having followed the process and attended the consultation. After escalating the issue, I requested a refund, which was eventually granted, but only after significant back and forth.

I wouldn’t recommend CB1 Medical if you are looking for a professional, reliable or respectful service. The experience caused unnecessary stress, and I was left feeling let down and disregarded.

Tried to get prescription

Tried to get prescription. Seems it's not as easy if you live in Scotland. Got summary of care records which they asked for then said its been rejected with no message explaining why. Time wasted for absolutely nothing

Actually a pleasant experience, fast appointments, I feel like they not trying to rip people off as well because when I signed up they had a offer on as they wad a new kid on the block and I was worried about costs as some charge a lot for each appointment etc however cb1medical charge a fair price £50 to get access to medication then pay for items on script. So fare I can not fault them. Thanks cb1medical as a cloud got lifted.
