My account was recently blocked due to …

My account was recently blocked due to a transaction I was doing to transfer an insignificant amount to another account of mine.

Problem is that I have tried calling the Customer service and each time am put in a queue for 20 or so minutes and without any humans even getting close to any interaction. Its only the IVRS or the repeated music. Pathetic customer service. I might have to complaint to the banking ombudsman if this stays like what it is rt now.

The new Clydesdale bank app is the worst banking app I have ever used.

The new Clydesdale bank app is the worst banking app I have ever had the misfortune to use. I have been a customer with Clydesdale for 30 years I very rarely have bank charges but since the introduction of the new app I have missed payments two or three times per month. I never had a problem with the old app but for some reason this new one just doesn’t work for me.

Eye opener...

Just spoke with Nicola from the fraud department. My card has been cloned and used. Pin has been used with card. She claims that the card could only have been taken from my possession, Used and returned without my knowing! First crucial info is its a relatively new card that "no-one" knows the pin, Yep so as i was in the house decorating all day on my day off someone entered my locked house, stole my card , drove over 40 miles. Bought some dinner. Drove back and put my card back in my pocket. They also managed the same amazing feat to take my card last month to drive an amazing distance and eat again before returnimg my card. Shes in fraud and never heard of clone and camera. (Where they clone your card and film you enter your pin.) Ignorant and uncaring/blaming attitude was a shock. I understand she has to take all claims with a pinch of salt but that was an eye opener!

Absolute rubbish

This app is always malfunctioning and on the rare occasions it does work I have to wait 30 minutes after midnight to check my account balance as it is never available. I never have this problem with my other banking apps which always function as they should first time. It’s about time Clydesdale sorted this problem out as it has got worse since the App upgrade. If it continues I will be switching bank accounts.

Very, very slow manual process to get loan funds - avoid if in a rush to get car!

Applied for a loan on line to finance a car, got approval really quickly, then found out it would take over a week to get the funds! There is so truly awful process where you have to send docs, then wait on an activation code being posted out and then it can be 5 working days to get the funds into your bank account! I work in banking IT, and this is truly awful and unnecessary delay in 2017! I called to ask if it could be expedited and the response was very much if you don't like it we can cancel it for you and you can go elsewhere! Yeah thanks, with a footprint on my credit record that I had already applied.

Telephone Banking

Registers for telephone and Internet banking about 10 years ago. Phoned up today to change my address and they tell me that I am not registered for telephone banking. Even though I did the same thing 3 years ago with no problems!

I have been a customer of the Clydedale …

I have been a customer of the Clydedale bank since I left school 50 years ago and truly can't fault them on the banking side at all, however their online banking is really poor especially at weekends where transactions seem to come and go at their own doing, a transaction may be visable initially then just disappear only to return on Monday.
Balance totals also seem to sometimes include recent transactions and at other times do not, now that I live outside of Scotland I mostly use the Nationwide where the on line banking is much better.
I suppose if I could be bothered to move my existing Clydedale standing orders etc to the Nationwide I would but as I have never in 50 years had a problem so why bother.
If Clydedale could make the online banking better and as good as the Nationwide I would have given them 5 stars as they served me very well over my working life.

Applied for loan

Applied for loan, got approved. A week later still waiting because they claim to not have received my documents. Called up the customer service number after waiting for over half an on hold to be spoken to by a morag who was so rude and sarcastic ! Awful waste of time so far and still not further on . I asked if I should resend my documents in signed to be told don’t bother just wait to see if we get them! I knew the free post address was dodgy !! So annoyed I’m going to go elsewhere

New app feedback

This app is the worst app I have ever used, I check my acc daily to check my direct debits but trying to access my acc is a nightmare, I put in my pass code & have Touch ID access but I still don't get in, often it is the following day, I never had any problems getting access to my accs with the old app, I cannot express enough how frustrating it is not being able to access my acc when I want to, this app is absolutely terrible.

Absolutely hopeless

Absolutely hopeless, internet banking badly needs updating, crashes an awful lot, the app is even worse, it looks like it was created by someone who is doing a school project.

Useless

Useless. No branches in the South, apart from London. Online banking and banking app are useless.
They introduced transfer caps for online without notifying me. When travelling abroad, be prepared to have your card blocked.
Day to day banking is OK, but it's that they let you down when you need them most that made me switch.

Betrayed by my bank...

I had never used online banking before, always just used the App, first time using the online version I noticed a "(1.5L)" next to every transaction, I called to ask what it was and I was told it's a code for a £1.50 fee for using my card outside the UK... I'd been living in Europe for the past 3 years on a posting!! That "1.5L" added up to £7200 in extra fees over the 3 years!! I filed a complaint saying it's not shown in the app, so I had no idea I was being charged this! Further more, I had a meeting with the bank 3 years before to switch accounts before I was sent on my posting to avoid exactly this issue of crazy fees, and this was the account they recommended! After 2 weeks of waiting they called me to say "I should have read the terms and conditions on the account which would have covered anything the financial advisor didn't mention or forgot to mention" and they refused to refund a single penny!! I went into the bank in person seeking specific tailored advice for my situation, and followed it in good faith and I was robbed of £7200 in fees (on top of all the other normal fees and low exchange rate margins). These additional fees were hidden and never disclosed in the mobile app... I didn't even want a full refund, as I take full responsibility for my part in not "fact checking" what the financial advisor mislead me to believe... I just wanted them to have enough character to admit that there failure to clearly display the fees was a mistake, and acknowledge that £7200 in bank card fees was unreasonable. Which anyone of sound mind would agree! No due diligence was made on the banks part to look out for the best interests of their clients, even though I'm signed up for their marketing program to "inform me about offers that could save me money"! As a client It makes me sick to my stomach (literally) to feel this betrayed by this bank... Please, don't use this bank.

The website is garbage

The website is unbelievable... probably the least user-friendly website I've experienced in the last 5 years. Access is by a secure 10 digit code which you can't alter... so you have to write it down! Then, rather than "pay a bill" you have to enter the "Transaction" area and set up a supplier. It is garbage.

Appalling so-called internet banking …

Appalling so-called internet banking service - not fit for purpose. Difficult to access; unpleasant colours/layout; clunky navigation; definitely not user friendly. It's difficult to stress how annoying and useless the Clydesdale's online facility is. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
