Having been told to switch from FOD to FTTP contract lost all internet for nearly 4 days. Support was terrible and unhelpful insisting that everything was fine. Was told to get an Openreach engineer to come out who said issue was with Cerberus. After repeated calls eventually was told they had spotted issue. For price (way above competitors) very incompetent.

Effective and Efficient

I approached Cerberus as a candidate for the replacement of our ageing onsite ISDN PABX.

The first point of contact was Shakir, who very quickly made me aware of the massive cost savings in moving to their solution. We talked at length about the different options, leasing or buying the handsets, running it over our existing line or installation of a standalone line for the phone system. These where options other providers would not offer.

All of these options allowed me to present to the senior management team in the organisation the best overall package to suit our needs.

When the roll-out started it was very fast, the handsets arrived in a matter of days. Once plugged into the VLAN we'd configured to speak to the cloud based PBX they just started to provision for the assigned owner.

We had a few teething issues on the go live date, but nothing the Cerberus Support team where not able to sort out within minutes.

The advantages over our old copper based ISDN system... well top of the list is call quality. All the users have noticed an improvement in the over all call quality. All users now have voicemail and DDIs, which wasn't possible with the older system.

The biggest advantage is for those users who WFH, the simple installation of an app on their device means that they are always contactable.

Overall an excellent service, effectively and efficiently delivered within the promised timescale. I would have no hesitations in recommending Cerberus Networks to anyone looking for a VoIP system.

Had some issues with openreach on a new install.
Emailing Cerberus was so easy and the very quick reply’s by real people that made sure the correct action was taken was like a breath of fresh air for a ISP.

Speed and latency is very good

First

First, I asked the tech team to peer me with Riot Games 2 weeks prior to joining them, they confirmed they would be able to do so.

2 Weeks following this I'm with this ISP, and my ping is bad on to Riot Games compared to all the other ISP's i've used in the past.

I try to leave on the 14th day (the first day I recieve the service), but they claim it's been over that and it's the 15th day now. And now they leave me no choice but to continue paying them even though I've had no time to try out the ISP.

I've tried to liaise with them many times on how this is unreasonable and I should be allowed to leave for another ISP, but they're adamant that I must continue paying them even if another ISP takes over the line.

Fair enough an exit fee is reasonable, but this ISP wants me to keep paying monthly for a service I won't even recieve and are unwilling to discount it or anything.

Avoid at all costs, tech team just lies & owner doesn't seem to care about the reputation of his company.

Best ISP service provider. Great people

Great sales process. Got exactly what I wanted. Excellent post sales support and follow up. Timely and accurate responses when needed. Been a customer for a good few years now and recent engagement was to upgrade and add new services. Can’t recommend Cerberus highly enough. My business relies on their services and I would not go anywhere else.

Completely painless move to FTTP

Completely painless experience - placed the order online for FTTP and got to choose an installation date there and then, engineer arrived on the correct date, well within the timeslot specified, installed and working in around an hour. Kept up to date during the process, including being given the name and phone number of the engineer on the day just in case.

Pitiful!

I paid for a survey to be taken out to discover the costs of a Fibre to the Property installation earlier this year. After the survey was completed I tried to ascertain the final cost of the installation when national and local grants were deducted from the total cost. This is when Cerberus stopped responding to my emails or answering my calls. I made contact again in July, then August to try and move this along but never got the answers required to move the project along. I now have had email saying the order has timed out due to non-acceptance of build costs. This is pitiful, it is due to the inaction of Cerberus that I still don't know the final build costs when with both sets of grants deducted. It would be great if Cerberus could deliver on what they purport to do!

Hello William. We are sorry that you feel it necessary to write a negative review on Trustpilot however there are several factors here that are outside of our control, and these should be taken into account as they are the sole reasons that your order has not progressed.

You provided us with the necessary information to request Gigabit voucher funding from DCMS however, DCMS have experienced delays in processing funding applications. This was then compounded with a change in the rules that meant that we have been waiting for clarification on whether any new funding applications were going to be processed. This has now been confirmed. FOD is no longer eligible for voucher funding. We do not have any say over the speed of processing of voucher funding applications, not the rules of the scheme.

Openreach systems are designed to cancel a Fibre on Demand order within 28 days if the charges are not accepted within that timescale. For cluster orders such as this, there was a workaround that involves them not loading the costs into the system until we have had any voucher issued. Openreach are no longer using that process, hence the order cancelling.

We are sorry that you have not been kept informed, however there has been very little information from DCMS until now and we have been unable to obtain any progress updates regarding the application for funding.

Since you placed your order Openreach has revised the commercials for the Fibre on Demand product. This now means that costs are much higher than previously, and this is making most schemes unviable. Again, this is a new development.

We do appreciate your frustration. As the only ISP who has been offering this product, it has been an uphill battle dealing with the bureaucracy of both Openreach and DCMS.

Due to the recent changes, we are no longer actively promoting the product.

As a gesture of goodwill, the accounts team will issue a refund for the survey fee.

We hope you manage to find a solution to your bandwidth requirements.

All the best,

The Cerberus Networks Team.
