I had a problem with the tree and Charles Bentley dealt with the problem very well and this was appreciated

Unfortunately the product arrived with defects, but the returns service was perfect.

Not the sturdiest of storage boxes but suitable for what we wanted. Great for storing our folding garden chairs and other bits and pieces. Fairly easy to assemble, we only went wrong once!

The chiminea arrived without a lid

Ordering was easy and delivery was prompt. I can’t review the actual
product (football goal) as it was a Christmas present for my granddaughter and they haven’t put it up yet.

I had originally gone to another company but let me down big time.went to Charles Bentley and had it delivered in record time. A very large package as well. Highly recommend.

BULLDOZER 12 Ton Hydraulic Log Splitter
Do not be seduced by the apparently large force of 12 tons - this splitter is able to split small logs only if they are completely straight-grained without knots or side branches. Any other type of wood will withstand the splitting force with ease. Logs which submit to several blows of an axe are entirely untouched by the machine.

With logs of about 9" length it is necessary to pack out the space between the log and the ram.

I estimate that for a fit man it is about 5 to 10 times quicker to use a good splitting axe than this machine. If one had a damaged back or shoulder then it would be useful. It is gentler on the body than swinging an axe.

The instructions are severely lacking: They do not tell one
- That the two handles operate differently (Right fast forward, left high force).
- What the full stroke of the ram is, so when it stops you don't know whether it has run out of oil, or is at the end of the stroke.
- Where to add oil
- What sort of oil to add

It splits logs effectively, even ones with knots.

Assembly was relatively easy with good instructions. Quality of pre made panels supplied could have been better with some pieces having become unstapled and required fixing. 3mm screws for hinges and bolts were too small, for a few pence more 4/4.5mm screws would have been much better.

Lovely looking tree. The pre-lit led lights are just the right amount and spread.
