Charlotte-Foorwear are Scammers

They are using the website to look like a legitimate company which they are not. When I saw the shoes I screamed. The stitching was off, and they were the most uncomfortable shoes. I managed to get my money back through my bank. I was able to prove that the company were scammers. I filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission. I hope that this company is taken down and the only way to do it is we have to work together maybe it will send a red flag to the Federal Trade Commission.

All lies - Major SCAM

All lies! Cancel your order now, if you can. If not, contact your credit card and/or PayPal ASAP. Emails from the company are autogenerated and a load of lies. Fortunately, PayPal and AMX covered me since they are still showing as not shipped from HONG KONG 20 days after being ordered. If you want to return them you can bet you’d have to ship back to Asia. If you received this fake leather garbage dispute with your credit card or PayPal as item not as described. No "Charlotte", not in NY, all a line of baloney. You’re welcome.

Cheap Crap Advertised As Leather Shoes

Cheap Crap Advertised As Leather Shoes
Fell for the scam. The canvas and plastic shoes, which are supposed to be leather, are shoddy and look like they were made with children's scissors. After emailing them several times, the bots told me I can either send them back to China or get 35% off. Stay away from these scammers!

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. I too am usually skeptical and check before buying. I fell for the ad - please don’t fall for this scam. Made in china; I didn’t even have to look - they sent a plastic bag. I opened the outer bag & the reek of chemicals assaulted me. I didn’t have to look at the package. I had tried to cancel several days after placing the order. The boots came after the promised shipping window, and they were still not answering me. They keep offering discounts, shipping cost is equal or over the discount they are offering! Be aware, everything seems to be a lie online. The ad is misleading representing a picture of “Charlotte”, and a sweet story - all lies! This should not be allowed. Please don’t buy!

Do not trust this company. Scam.

Like every other review here, I also fell for this scam. And usually I’m pretty alert about this stuff. But the website was so well done and it seemed so real that I did not even check to see if there was a Charlotte‘s footwear store in New York City. Dumb.
I placed an order and then several weeks later I got a shipping notification… From China… So that was red flag number one. Eventually, the shoes arrived all smooshed into a thin plastic bag with no boxes.
So of course, they were damaged. I mean they’re crap anyway, now they’re damaged crap.
The company offered me a 20% refund, but instead, I did a dispute with my credit card and was able to get my money back thankfully.
I strongly recommend staying away.

CHARLOTTES FOOTWEAR IS A TOTAL SCAM OUT OF CHINA DO NOT FALL FOR THIS FRAUD!

There is no Charlotte making hand made shoes in New York at a shop Called Charlottes Footwear. This is a scam running out of China. The name Charlottes Footwear was lifted from Charlotte Stone Shoes on the internet. There is no presence for Charlottes Footwear anywhere EXCEPT FACEBOOK. I became suspicious when there was no size guide for the tall riding boots, I have extra wide calves & whenever I inquired I could tell the person responding was either A.I. or foreign as the language style was off. I wrote multiple times telling them not to send the shoes that I was reporting this to my AMEX and almost a month later (not 5-7 business days) the package showed up w/two pairs of fake handmade shoes, which I will not open or send back until AMEX agrees that I should not pay for this fraudulent advertisement from some sweat shop in China. The tracking number didn't show up for almost a week and it was not registered anywhere in the USA because it was in CHINA.

I never received my order

I never received my order! I feel so dumb for falling for an Instagram Ad for these. Ugh! Now I can't even get to the website to inquire about my order because my computer anti-virus software blocks it due to being a virus risk.
I'll try and contact my credit card company, but BOY do I feel STUPID!

Zero stars

I suspected this might not be a legitimate site, but I liked the look of their "high quality leather" Harper Boots, super cheap, and thought I'd give it a try. I first sent an email asking about the heel height, which oddly isn't mentioned in the description, and got back a cheerful email (AI generated?) stating 1-2 inches. The boots arrived today from China, in a bag reeking of toxic plastic, with a 1/2 inch heel. I have emailed business repeatedly, but they refuse to take responsibility for return shipping (to CHINA!) despite giving me wrong information. The shoes are not what you see or are described online. Stay away.

These shoes are junk

These shoes are junk. They are nothing even CLOSE to their advertised pictures. Not worth the price paid, not even worth $5. I threw mine away. Couldn't imagine anyone who would benefit by owning these. Do not purchase.

Cheap China Crapola from charlottes-footwearWhat went wrong?

What went wrong?
Just received... and oh boy- what a big ripoff.
#1. charlottes-footwear is NOT located in Boston or the USA.
The kindly cool woman who is regretably selling her business that she's had for 34 years with her husband...
does not exist.
These cheap wares are fabricated and ship from China.
The Buyer does not know this until they track their package and find that their shoes got on an "International flight."

#2 : The "shoes" arrived all smashed in a plastic bag.
Which actually is appropriate as the boots and sneakers and shoes are all exclusively PLASTIC.
Charlottes Footwear describes each as ALL LEATHER, waterproof and orthopedic.

#3 : These things are ugly too.
What was received - just barely resembled what had been pictured on their website:
charlottes-footwear.com
Plastic soles.
All PLASTIC uppers.
Plastic and garbage in construction and design.
To avoid the off-gasing- they are out of the house and on the back porch.
Do NOT purchase from this site.
They are a scam- worthy only of the dump.
(Will not do that - but...)
Hey! charlottes-footwear-
You scammed us.
You lied about the construction and materials.
DO NOT EVER buy from charlottes-footwear

Worst Ever online experience

I fell for the story about the lady closing her shoe store closing after many years.
A complete scam! Have always been skeptical about purchasing off Facebook and this experience has convinced me not to risk it again.
The shoes are cheaply made and too small!
I have contacted them and praying my money is returned!
Do NOT waste your money with this company!

Fake Website!

I am so upset about these boots I ordered. The first pair is too small, and the second pair is definitely not made of real leather. I wrote them about a refund, and now it appears that I am blocked from their website. Total Sham! Do not, I repeat, Do Not order from this sham of a company!!!
